Bangladesh needs extra safety equipment for the security of Cricket World Cup-2011

Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India will host Cricket World Cup-2011. The inaugural ceremony will be held in Bangladesh. Bangladesh will also host eight matches, six of which will be played in Dhaka and the remaining two in Chittagong.

To ensure security for the players as well as for the visitors is very important for Bangladesh. The government of the country has taken the matter so seriously. The government has decided to purchase safety equipment worth about 4.3 million U.S. dollars to ensure security during the world cup.

Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) and National Security Intelligence (NSI) has already received about 1.43 million U.S. dollars each from Finance Ministry   to buy necessary safety devices. The Rapid Action Battalion and police will also buy security equipment. Government will soon form a national security committee headed by the home minister.

Indian Squad: Yuvraj named for Sri Lanka tour

India has announced the name of 16 players for the upcoming Test which will be taken place from 18 July in Sri Lanka. Win may pull India No 1 in Test ranking!

This time, India has a big opportunity to jump in the first position of the ICC Cricket ranking if they can take the series result to their favor. Among the three test cricket match series both the team won each. But the third and final test is taking place at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. ICC Champions Trophy 2009 preview all nations

You already have heard that the 6^th season of ICC Champions Trophy 2009 (Mini World cup) is going to hold in South Africa at two play grounds The Wanderers and Centurion from 22 September 2009 where eight nations will take part as well. Six teams are taking part in the Warm-Up matches and England and Australia is taking parts in Natwest One-day international series. South Africa, West Indies, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand already has played a matches each and on 20 September there will another warm-up match when New Zealand v India at Potchefstroom Pakistan v Warriors at Benoni and Sri Lanka v West Indies at Pretoria.

India is considered one of the strongest team at this moment. In the recent tour of Sri Lanka won the Compaq Cup triangular series. And last two New Zealand as well as West Indies performed well. Sachin Tendulkar 44th century after six months against Sri Lanka

India passed the first practices session before Tri-Nation series

After Twenty20 World Championship 2009, India comes to the practice camping from 10 August. Aim is to face the Tri-Nation odi series in Sri Lanka among the host SL, India and New Zealand. The first practice session all teammates did not attend was not full of team mates. The seven men along with Indian skipper MS Dhoni had to face all the in three tests; fitness, mental test and playing condition. But legend batsman Virender Sehwag may not attend in the pre Champions Trophy Practice session for shoulder injury.

Australia vs Sri Lanka Twenty20 World 2009: Challenge for Australia to play in super eight

There are two important tournaments in England today. One is kicking off between Bangladesh and Ireland which is taking place at ICC World T20, 7th tournament of Group A and must win mach for Tigers at Nottingham. Ireland who won the toss and elected to bat first and the opposition has come to field for with making the batting side strong. ICC World Cup Cricket 2011 final to host in India

Sri Lanka vs India 2009: Squad for India ODIs at home series

Sri Lanka has announced the squad for the home series against India. They selection committee has declared a 15 men squad for the ODIs and also 4 men for as the stand by players. They did not bring any change to the squad that played during the Pakistan tour. 

In the previous tour of Pakistan, Sri Lanka earned a 2-1 series victory whenever they got a most runs victory in the 3^rd ODI. Winning toss, Sri Lanka cashed 309 runs in the scoreboard. Aiming to touch 209 runs, Pakistan lost all wickets just adding 75 runs in the scoreboard as a result Sri Lanka secured a most run victory. 

I am confused about the squad because during the Tri-Nation series in Bangladesh Sri Lanka did not able to do well although they secure the Trophy. During the fist match over Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka scored 210/6 from 50 over and the match against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka 147 (30.3/31 ov). In the reply reached the target 23.5/31 overs. In the final Bangladesh aches 152 runs from 49.4 overs to fill the target Sri Lanka had to loss 8 wickets by playing 48.1 overs. 

I think Sri Lankan has thought largely about the last series victory as a capital and the last Kit-Ply series in Bangladesh too.

Singh off and Jadeja-Praveen returns for squad Sri Lanka tour

India is all set to tour Sri Lanka with the 15 men squad. In the declared squad, two new faces are flashing. One is Ravindra Jadeja and other is Praveen Kumar. During the England tour of India, the two young stars were deducted from that squad. Now, the selection committee calls up Medium-pacer Praveen Kumar and middle order batsman Ravindra Jadeja. 

Harbhajan Singh has been ruled out of the upcoming series due to injury, but the spinner is expected to attend with the team in the middle of tour. To fill the gap of the upcoming tour left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha has been included but he could off after Harbhajan Singh attend the team. In the last ODI along with England he just sacked one wicket. 

Ravindra Jadeja, the left-handed batsman showed an eye-catching performance in the domestic cricket Ranji Trophy. His contribution in the u-19 World Cup Cricket and in the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL T20) on behalf of Rajasthan Royals impressed everyone.

India started very well in the first innings of second Test in Galle. At the end of the day they scored total 214 runs by losing four wickets. Sri Lanka selection board has declared their squad for 1st Test alongside India in a good combination. Beside six batsmen it also announced four bowlers the total number of 14 members. We cannot see the mane of all-time best player Sanath Jayasuriya in the Test Squad because of his retirement form Test matches. Sri Lanka is thinking hardly for the next match

Visitor Sri-Lanka is now on pressure in CB series after defeating near Australia on last Friday match at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The host Australia has confirmed their final match in CB series by wining through the last Friday match against Sri-Lanka.

However, Sri-Lanka will face more two matches more one of it against India on Tuesday, 26 February and another against on Australia, 29 February. Sri-Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene said that they would have chance to reach in final if they could win the two matches. He said, “I’ve played very few matches against but I’ve seen that the Aussie don’t take any mach carelessly. They can play well with out Brett lye, McGrath.”

Sri-Lankan top orders don’t having failed to stand 50 runs opening partnership. They want to recover their simple mistakes before the coming two matches. Last India vs Sri-Lanka match were so rivalry though Sri-Lanka was defeated at last. So, it is expected that upcoming India vs Sri-Lanka match on 26 February. Both the teams will want to win the match although India is ahead than Sri-Lanka by 6 point. So, Sri-Lanka will have under extra pressure in the match. All about Australia-India-Sri Lanka for CB Series 2008

Australia won the Border-Gavaskar Test series by 2-1. through the draw of the 4th test at Adelaide. In the 4th test, Anil Kumble, the Indian skipper, won the toss and decided to bat first because the pitch of Adelaide was batting helpful. India cashed 526 runs ten wickets in their first innings, where Sachin Tendulkar performed 153 runs. The batting genius Tendulkar reached at his 39 test centuries with this century. Besides, V Sehwag, Harbhajan SinghIn, collected 63 in every one and Indian captain, Anil Kumble collected 87 runs. On the other hand Australia gathered 563 runs for all wickets and they led 37 runs to India. Three centuries came from Australia’s 1st innings, ML Hayden 103, RT Ponting 140, MJ Clarke 118 besides PA Jaques scored 60 runs. India got down for batting in the last season and till the last season of the final day they collected 269 runs for 7 wickets by 90 pvers. Only V Sehwag scored 151in the second innings, others were in coming and going demonstration.

However, the series has been finished but there were happened some unexpected controversial incident, especially in 2nd test. Harbhajan Singh was charged with hybridism for reviling to Andrew Symonds as a monkey. Also, the umpires, especially Steve Buckner, were taken many wrong decisions against India. So, Harbhajan was suspended by the match referee of that match for three matches but Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) applied against that illegal verdict to ICC. However, according to ICC decision Harbhajan’s next hearing was fixed on 28 January. And in the final verdict, Harbhajan was released from the charge without having sufficient evidence but Harbhajan’s 50% match fee has been taken cut.

However, again Australia and India will play the upcoming CB tri-angular ODI series with Sri Lanka. The first ODI held between Australia and India on 3 February at Melbourne cricket ground.
