Australia vs South Africa 2nd test 2008: Perth victory is inspiring Melbourne

South Africa secured a stunning victory in Perth test against the top-ranked Australia. By jumping up 414 runs South Africa awarded the first victory. May be it is the first time that SAF got test wins against Australia. The host is trying to find out their faults and the guest is thinking to take the control of the series victory.

Reported ICC-cricket

“We put our peg in the ground at Perth and we have made them respect us a huge amount as we do respect them. But from a psychological aspect we know we have got a lot more petrol in our tank. It took something special to win the Test match and I expect much the same again with a pretty even contest.”

South African captain Graeme Smith who secured a century in the second innings, 48 in the first innings is optimistic for success in the Melbourne test. He and his teammate has proved that game is always uncertain and nothing impossible to overcome.

India vs England 1st ODI: Who will win at last?

The 5th day of the first test between India and England is going to ground after within a few hours. Now, it is the burning question to all fans of both teams who re living both the countries India an England even all over the world.

Batting: The batting started really well. The openers dominated Indian bowlers highly. The openers stable and balanced batting worried Indian blowers and added a milestone of century and a half century. AJ Strauss and AN Cook added 118 runs from 39.6 overs. AN Cook secured 52 runs and AJ Strauss added 123 runs by hitting 15 fours and without driving any sixes. The English wicket keeper MJ Prior also shared his 53 runs to build a stable score in the fist innings. The top-middle order batsmen completely failed of constructed any foundation.

In the second innings, similarity repled again in England tent. Just two batsmen AJ Strauss and PD Collingwood secured centuries and MJ Prior added 33 runs.

I think all the fans who were watching the match live both area sitting on the gallery and with a TV or Online was annoyed much to watch the quick-downfall of the batting side. In the half-day they lost their most valuable 6 wicket just playing 45 overs in the second day. Only the new captain MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh and Sachin Tendulkar scored well. But in the second inning Indian batsmen are showing passions to overcome the faults of the first innings.

Bowling: the bowlers of both teams did really great. I think the fans were enjoying the bowlers’ movements. We can see clearly that the spinners got huge success in that pitch.

So, as a supporter of India, I will hope that India could do well and could take the series lead. But I am confused about the pitch of the fifth day and the batting of the first innings that can not assure me to take the lead. Anyway, the result of the fist test of India and England just times matter.

India vs England 1st Test 2008: India in on pressure in the second day

India and England are at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai. Both the teams are dominating each-other by bat and ball. At he end of the second day India is in pressure of English bowlers. India already has lost its 5 valuable wickets (top five wickets) by scoring 101 runs. Englands new off spin bowler GP Swann sacked 2 wickets.

In spite of England’s middle order’s batmen failure they scored 316 runs after one and half day. The opener batsman AJ Strauss acquired 123 runs and with the half-centuries of other two batsmen (AN Cook and MJ Prior) threw the team in a strong position.

Here is nothing to analyze the India batting side. The top order batsmen have failed totally to protect English bowlers and as result they are paying for their mistake. G Gambhir, V Sehwag and R Dravid has totally destroyed the dream of the match which the bowlers raised by preventing the English men in 316 runs in the second mid day of the first innings.

Now, Indian batsmen should drive the bat carefully at the end of the day even in the morning session, otherwise they will suffer a lot. The two batsmen (Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni) who are batting now are not considered as the test batsmen. The second and the first innings of the 1st test will come to end within a few over bowling. At this moment the score of the day is:
