India vs New Zealand tri series 2009: Tendulkar and Karthik will open

Indian master blaster batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been called for the ongoing tri series in Sri Lanka due to injury of the opener Gautam Gambhir who was listed for the whole series. Although Virat Kohli has been included for the absence of Gambhir, he will not come as an opening batsman. At the same time Sachin has been called for opening batting line-up to pair with Karthik. You all know that Tendulkar was out of the odi squad for at long time but may be due to short of opener he has a included in the team and will face Shane Bond on Friday in the day-night match at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

This time India has included two new (old and experienced) players who were kept out from the one-day squad from the team and the new boys were recruited there. Sachin will dominate the opposition blowers as an opener and Rahul Dravid will come to the number three as usual.

Indian Captain MS Dhoni hopes that duo will be the most potential for the team against New Zealand in the Compaq Cup tri series in Sri Lanka on Friday 11, September. Gambhir already has back to home without playing any single match due to groin injury and the regular opener Virender Sehwag is also out of action for a long time.

Rahul Dravid to return for Tri Nation series and Champions Trophy

After the twenty20 Indian team was totally out of cricket routine. At this moment they are visiting Sri Lanka to take parts in a Tri Nation Series that will be held among host Sri Lanka, the Black Caps (New Zealand) and India. All the teams are very serious to improve their position. Although the way of Sri Lanka looking well but other two nations is quite in extra pressure because of their previous performances in the last few matches.

At this moment the most deliberated incident in Indian cricket is the return of Rahul Dravid in the next One-Day squad for the next Tri Nation series and ICC Champions League. He was kept out from the limited over cricket match near about two years. He has been recalled for the bad performances of the Rohit Sharma. The previous batting performance disappointed all selector board. It also caused for earlier exile from the second season of the Twenty20 world championship.

It is sure that there is no way of brining change to over come this situation to over come. It hoped that it will be difficult to the protest Indian team to be the champions in the T20 WC before Indian Premier League second season. Anyway, I don’t blame that taking part in IPL cause bad performance. I hope India will overcome all weakness in the next tours including Champions Trophy.

IPL 2009: 2nd match result and highlights, Anil Kumble takes 5 wickets

The second match of Indian Premier League season 2 was between Rajasthan Royals and Bangalore Royal challengers was held in the same ground where the 1st match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indian was commenced on, at Newlands Cape Town. MI has won the match and felt in heavy competition. In the 2nd match Bangalore Royals Challenger won the toll and elected bat first.

From the first time Bangalore Royals Challenger felt huge batting downfall lost two wickets in the first over. It lost JD Ryder, RV Uthappa and LRPL Taylor, the three premier wickets just adding 17 runs. This sequence was continued after short breaks.

Mascarenhas picked up 3 wickets for 20 runs Shane Wane and MM Patel took 2 wickets each.

Rajasthan Royals repeated the same things as Bangalore Royal challengers did during the batting time. It lost earlier three wickets just for 14 runs and BRC packed them in 58 runs. Three batsmen scored same and highest runs and that was 11 runs. It is really unbelievable that the champions had to be booked in 58 runs.

Anil Kumble figured the best bowling and picket up 5 wickets in an innings just for 5 runs and P Kumar and JD Ryder picket 2 wickets each.

It is clear the Anil Kumble will be the star of the tournament and Man of the match. Anil Kumble is the second man who secured 6 wickets in an innings. In the last year Sohail Tanvir picked up 6 wickets for 14 runs. Now Kumble holds the best bowling record.

4 players have achieved the maximum six awards. And Man of the Match goes to Rahul Dravid for outstanding job in this innings because he holds the teams searing during the bad time of the team and scored 66 runs.

IPL 2009: Bangalore Royal Challengers v Rajasthan Royals 2nd match Newlands, Cape Town

In the inaugural day IPL cricket tournament 2009, two matches will be kicked off at the same play ground after the opening ceremony. The second crickets match between the champions of IPL 2008 Rajasthan Royals and Bangalore Royal Challengers at Newlands in Cape Town. This is the big challenge for 2008 Rajasthan Royals; it is a big challenge because they are the title hold of the tournament.

Bangalore Royal Challengers could play any good cricket matches in the last season and just got 4 wins out of 14 matches. That is why it was in the 7th position of the standings tables. They got two wins over Deccan Chargers one was Mumbai Indians and other was Chennai Super Kings. Despite of some top ranked players and under R Dravid’s captaincy, Bangalore Royal Challengers had to face huge difficulties. And, may be this is the main cause BRC will change their leadership that will be handed over the England’s former captain Kevin Pietersen.

Rajasthan Royals is only team that was leader by the foreign Captaincy-Coaching. Shane Warne is really talent; he proved it in the first season of DLF IPL cricket tournament. To tell truth, Warne is appropriate to get honor as best captaincy in IPL Cricket League. By picking up 16 wickets from 15 matches SK Warne stood second best wicket takers of the inaugural Indian Premier League. This year, he was away from cricket for his fitness but now he has gained satisfactory and will take the lead of the team.

In the home match, Bangalore Royal Challengers beat to Rajasthan Royals for 7 wickets at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore and in away in match Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur beat for 65 runs. In the home twenty20 tournament only LRPL Taylor and Parveen Kumar did well but others could not reach to any honorable score. Similar drama replied in the away T20 cricket matches. Only Captain Rahul Dravid scored 75 runs for 36 balls and was not out. That proved that the franchise spent huge money to buy the club but not for developing the cricket teams. But this year, they brought some changes intellectually so it could perform better this year.

Rajasthan Royals acted upon BRC in both matches home and away. Shane Warne, captain RR bowled best of his careen in IPL T20 and picked 3 wickets for 19 runs. And the opposite captain Rahul Dravid played similar roll and scored 75 runs in the same match. Just losing one wicket of SA Asnodkar, RR scored 197runs. GC Smith and SR Watson were not-out as well as 75 and 46 but SA Asnodkar scored 50 runs from 44 balls.

Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers Shane Warne and Munaf Patel picket up 4 wickets each from the two matches and Sohail Tanvir took 3 and SR Watson picked 2 wickets. But, the Bangalore Royal Challengers bowlers showed very weak performances in both matches and no bowler could take more that one wicket (who took wicket) from the tow matches. Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers drew their manes of three in the top five lists as a highest wicket taker.

This year, the DLF IPL T20 is going to hold in South Africa. Although it is very good place but totally unknown for most of the young Indian players except International players but they all have aim to play a positive crickets.

Kevin Pietersen may lead Bangalore Royal Challengers in IPL

Former England Captain Kevin Pietersen has been brought by the franchises of Bangalore Royal Challengers for 1.55 million. This is the highest deal of the BCCI organized Indian Premier League. Indian skipper MS Dhoni was this title owner for last year. For the second season of the IPL T20 the action was held in Goa on last Friday.

"This scenario is a very strong possibility but a final decision is yet to be taken," the source said. "Shane Warne was denied the captaincy in Australia, and look what he did in the IPL last year (Warne's Rajasthan Royals won the tournament). We expect KP will have a point to prove too with regards to captaincy, and that will only benefit the team."

From this paragraph, I think you could not understand anything. It hopes that England former captain Kevin Pietersen could lead the Bangalore Royal Challengers team in the upcoming Indian Premier League that will be held in April this year.

"We bought Kevin to improve our whole profile, which goes beyond cricket. Kevin has great, eye-catching cricketing skills. He is also a very marketable guy. He is a product who can go across India and he might be an ideal captain over four weeks or so."

This is a real though that the team need to improve its players profile. The performances during the tour of West Indies and his strong leading capacity has bought out the opportunity to lead the team. Last year the team was marched by Indian former Captain Rahul Dravid. May be, the team Bangalore Royal Challengers will be leaded by Kevin Pietersen earlier two weeks. Later, the responsible will be handed over to Rahul Dravid or Mark Boucher.

India vs England 2nd test 2008: watch live Rahul Dravid’s steady batting

Rahul Dravid is looking like an impregnable wall in the PCA Stadium. In an article I wrote that Red signal for Rahul Dravid: will he step down from Cricket? In the first day, during the second test he has proved that he has still in form and can protect any miserable moment. Although, there was no more unexpected incident in the first day of the 2nd test that is taking place in at Mohali, Panjab. Now, it is a question to all that if Rahul Dravid proposes to the BCCI stepping down from the international cricket what they will decide?
After the first test, bad performances of him, in all media it published that what is coming in Dravid fate? Most of the news media published that he would have been changed batting order and could come to number five. But, breaking all rumors he comes to creases just after the earlier wicket of Virendar Sehwag.
I have quote these lines from Sky Sports
"It is a cycle. Sometimes you are at your peak and at other times you are down. It happens to all players at some point. Even I have had my ups and downs."

35 years old Rahul Dravid already has informed to the chairman of selectors about his poor runs for the last 11 tests. So, it has already has created a question about his good runs. Anyway, we all have to wait what the decision comes after the test.

Red signal for Rahul Dravid: will he step down from Cricket?

India has own the first test that was held in Chennai. That is very positive sign for the Indian players in test cricket against England. In the odi series India secured victory 5-0. Bowlers and batsmen moved jointly to acquire the white-wash victory. But, in the in first test, it was totally different. Most of the batsmen crumbled doing nothing.

The most dependent batsman Rahul Dravid is in the top position in this line-up. Although he was he was ahead just adding 7 runs in the two innings in the first test in Chennai. This promotion has been sent him back in the batting order. He was the batman who used to come to bat in second down but in the second the he will bat in the 7th position.

What do you think about this change in the playing XI? I think this is red signal for him to step down from the international cricket. By analyzing his previous 11 tests, it will not satisfy any of the fans who loves cricket more. May be his average is just 22-plus. After Sourav Ganguly, this is the time of Rahul Dravid retires from the international cricket.

Sourav, Rahul, Laxman, Sachin and Anil should go to retirement

Once up on a time, in Indian cricket there was a golden time that has been passed when Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tecdulkar dominated the oppositions during the firs 15 overs. India was the top most team that will more runs during the restricted fielding time. By the time being it Sourv and Sachin is in aged and the in the last 10 matches they did not do well in ODI a Test.

Recently, there was news in Indian media that Sourav Ganguly has planned to take retirement for the international cricket when he has been kept his name from the next Home Test series alongside Australia. After getting some change in the selection board of Indian Cricket board, some of older players get opportunities to play the home Test series including Sourav. Beside, they all have got notice to go to retirement form the International cricket.

Cricket-mad India is fiercely debating whether it is time for their record-breaking batsmen Saurav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and Vangipurappu Laxman as well as spinner Anil Kumble, the test captain, all well into their 30s, to quit.

I think, India needs to take some change for future and should get opportunity for the young players.

DD, NEO Sports, Fox Sports will telecast.

After spending a lot of time, I have collect this information the flowing TV channel will telecast live the India and Australia ODI Series. In the previous post I mention that if anyone knows about which channel will telecast live, except Sky Sports. One of my junior informed me that DD, NEO Sports, Fox Sports will telecast will telecast too. May be DD National will telecast the matches so that the locals could watch the matches.

After after India’s dramatic victory in the ICC Twenty-20 finals, It’s advantage Neo Sports. The exclusive cricket channel, owned by Nimbus Sport, has already booked Rs 75 crore worth of advertising accounting for 65% of its inventory for the upcoming India-Australia series, starting September 29. Tying up sponsorship deals for the rest could now be a breeze.

“After the disappointment of the World Cup, this will definitely bring back the buoyancy of the game. But, its a long season ahead, and its a larger version with 50 overs. So, it is critical for India to sustain its performance. If the initial matches don’t go in India’s favour, rates will automatically slide down,” said Shashi Sinha, president, Lodestar and regional media director, FCB Asia Pacific.

Now it is clear to all the cricket fans that they will able to see all the matches of home series of India and Australia easily.

The first Venue M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium

India vs Australia ODI will take place from 29 Sep 2007. The first match will be played at 09:00 GMT (14:30 IST) at the M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore, Karnataka. The stadium is located in Bangalore, Karnataka. The Stadium is known as Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) stadium. The Stadium was renamed according to M. Chinnaswamy, who was concerned in cricket management in Karnataka for four decades and was at the controls of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 1977-1980.

The Stadium was established in 1969 and the seating capacity is 55,000 with flood light. It is operated by the Karnataka State Cricket Association. The first Test match was played between India and West Indies in 1974-75 and the first ODI was played between India and Sri Lanka on Sep 26, 1982. After 2005, no international match played.

15 international matches were played in this ground and India won 9 matches with different international teams. In this match of TVS Cup Australia scored a record quantity of 347runs and it was the new record and the lowest run was 169. South Africa scored this lowest run at Mar 25, 2001.

No doubt that now, Australia is the beat team in the world. If India wants to do well in this they have to be well in bowling and fielding.

After a luminous success on Twenty20, India is going to take part a seven matches ODI series along with Australia form 29 September 2007. There is no doubt that a lot of first class batsmen in the Indian team now. I am giving a short profile of them. This is the Indian squad for home series MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid, Gautam Gambhir, Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh, Dinesh Karthik, Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Piyush Chawla, Ramesh Powar, Rudra Pratap Singh, S Sreesanth, Sachin Tendulkar, Robin Uthappa, Yuvraj Singh India has a strong squad. Dravid, Ganguly and Tendulkar are back for team India. I know if you search on google you will find a lot of materials about them. Rahul Dravid: Rahul Dravid is known as a The Wall in cricket world. He was born at January 11, 1973 at Indore in Madhya Pradesh. He played 112 test matches and 9492 runs and 327 ODI and 10534 runs. In October 2005, he was appointed captain the one-day side, began with a thumping 6-1 hammering of Sri Lanka in a home series, and was soon given responsibility of the Test side as well, taking over from the controversy-shrouded Sourav Ganguly. While his captaincy stint started encouragingly with ODI victories against Pakistan and England, it soon nosedived with an embarrassing defeat against Bangladesh which led to an early exit from the 2007 World Cup. As a Test team, though, India had plenty to celebrate under Dravid, winning their first Test in South Africa and achieving two historic away series wins in the West Indies and England. Dravid stepped down from the captaincy after the 2007 England tour.

Sourav Ganguly: Sourav Ganguly introduced with international cricket at 1992 as an ODI player. He debuted himself with ODI cricket at along with West Indies at Brisbane - Jan 11, 1992 and introduced with Test math against England at Lord's - Jun 20-24, 1996.

He was born at 8 July 1972 at Barisha in Kolkata. Ganguly has been nicknamed Bengal Tiger, Prince of Calcutta, Lord Snooty by his opponents, and affectionately Dada.

If you visit the link you could know about his award and achievements form 1996 to September 5, 2007. It is updating continue.

MS Dhoni: MS Dhoni is a successful name in India cricket. After Kapil Dev he is the only captain who leaded Indian team to won any ICC World Cup trophy. He was elevated to the vice-captaincy of the one-day squad for the tour of England and Ireland in 2007 and, soon after, was appointed captain of the Twenty20 squad for the World Championship in South Africa. He was handed the reins of the one-day side in September 2007 after Rahul Dravid decided to step down as captain.

He his on of the wicket keeper who is the owner of highest runs of 183 not out. Before him Adam Gilchrist was the owner of that recored. On the 31st of October, Dhoni broke the record of highest runs scored by a wicket keeper by securing 183 runs against Sri Lanka which was played at Jaipur, beating Adam Gilchrist's former record of 172 runs.

Yuvraj Singh: Now Yuvraj Singh is called as Yuvi. It means the victory sign V. During the Twenty20 world cup his performances named so. He debuted with ODI against Kenya at Nairobi (Gym) - Oct 3, 2000 and test along with New Zealand at Mohali - Oct 16-20, 2003 and test. He has played 183 ODIs and 19 tests and 6 Twenty20 matches. Rahul Dravid will Handover his Captaincy before Australia Tours!

When Indian cricket team is plying the World cup Twnty20 at the same time Rahul Dravid has declared to handover his captaincy to others. Dravid has known his wish to the board precedent Sarad Pawer. Dravid thinks that he has to knock down a great effect to his normal jobs. The board member will take decision on 18 September. Just before one week of Australia tour, is it a good decision for India team? Will it be well for whole the team? Australia is coming India after T20 championship which will start form 28 September.

Shah told Cricinfo the board would meet within the next two days to appoint the next captain. "We will take a decision very soon." Australia arrive in India on September 25 and the first of seven ODIs is in Bangalore four days later.

Dilip Vengsarkar, the chairman of selectors, said a decision would be taken on September 18, when the team for the Australia ODIs is to be picked.

Vengsarkar, who was in New Delhi watching the match between India A and South Africa A, appeared unaware of the news until told about it by journalists. Asked for his reaction, Vengsarkar said: "I can't even be shocked because [officially] I haven't heard anything."

Is Dravid handing over his captaincy to stop him from T20 world cup which is taking place in South Africa? Anyway, as he thinking that it is hampering his concentration for batting. I think it is a good decision.

India vs England 3rd ODI : Tendulkar’s 99 runs and India’s Victory

It’s a good achievement for Tendulkar. After his long time absence the bat glowing again. Some time ago the cricket intelligence creates a sound the Sachin’s career has disappearing slowly. But in the 2nd ODI match of the NatWest Series, Sachin Tendulkar's 99 set up India's nine-run victory against England. It was the second time for Tendulkar that he became out on 99.

CricketWorld.com reported

Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid both hit half-centuries as India posted 329 for 7, Piyush Chawla picked up the key wickets of Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, and Ian Bell before India survived a last-gasp blistering assault from Dimitri Mascarenhas and Stuart Broad to level the NatWest Series 1-1 with a nine-run victory over England in Bristol.

Dimitri Mascarenhas struck five sixes and a four in an extraordinary knock, his maiden international fifty, having come in with England seemingly down and out. His innings gave them renewed hope, but when he was caught out in the penultimate over for 52 from 39 balls, India breathed again. Stuart Broad had them worried again when he hit two sixes, and a four from the final over but India had just enough in hand, England closing on 320 for 8.

Althouth all median is praising Sachin Tendulkar but here Dravid put a great contribution. For this he got the man of the match prized. May be it was the first time for Sachin Tendulkar that he did not take the man of the match prize despite of highest run.
