South Africa bagged 3-2 series wins over Australia

In the last match of the series Australia beat the host South Africa in the last one-day international of the five-match series. Australia has to face second series defeat to South Africa. Really, this is big tremble for the world champions that they beat in the home and away one-day international series. Although Australia take the test series lead, they lost in Twenty20 and one-day international series.

Next week Australia will visit to Pakistan for five-match ODI and one Twenty20 match. This tour will not take place in any Pakistan home’s grounds. Pakistan will host the series in Dubai, UAE. Now, it is question that how will they perform in the upcoming tour.

The recent tour for Australia is not fruitful, may be they are disappointed to get this results. The visitor won first two Tests among the three and the 3rd result went on the host. Secondly the Twenty series went on South Africa by 2-0. At last the One-Day series result also goes on the host by 3-2.

MS Dhoni’s captaincy and Indian consecutive victories

Indian batting is articulating that noting will make barrier to them. It’s really a dramatic change on the site on Indian team. If you look over the previous tournaments before the home series along side England India was combating about the leadership internally. There was a big controversy about the captainship and who will lead the team during the test match. I think Indian selection committee turned down a positive conclusion by removing Anil Kumble and Kumble’s pronouncement step down brought India in this situation.

Now, there is no hesitation that MS Dhoni is one of successful Indian cricket. He got the responsibilities after the England tour to lead the Indian team during the inaugural Tweyty20 World Cup 2008 in South Africa. MS Dhoni along with some young flock leaded the team like magic stick. As a result, India titled the Twenty20 World Cup with MS Dhoni’s clever leadership.
Indian selection committee realized after one year that Dhoni is the perfect man who can lead the India team in both areas Test cricket, one-day internationals and Twenty20 tournaments too.

At this moment, India is leading the No-2 positing of one-day international ICC Cricket rankings and in the 3rd position in Test. The team is just 3 points behind South Africa who has achieved the top position by beating the world ODI champion Australia. If India can win the 5th match against Sri Lanka of the ongoing series then India will climb on the number one at ICC ODI cricket ranking.

This is not end for Indian team. If India able to secure the victory than it will touch another record of 10 matches consequent victories in the world after Australia.

Indian captain MS Dhoni already has reached the top position as a number one batsman of the world after scoring 96 runs during the 4th ODI at Colombo. Previously, West Indies crickets Chris Gayle was that title holder.

India tour of Sri Lanka on February 2009

Indian officials decided not to tour in Pakistan after Mumbai terrorist attack when England tour of India. That time the ODI match series brought to end after five out of seven. That was an unwritten pressure to the world cricket every there was doubt about the test series. But, with consent of both teams, especially, when the England intelligent showed green signal to the England Cricket Team.

After Mumbai attack, all the cricket teams over the world have decided not to visit Pakistan. The two teams India and Sri Lanka authorities thought to use the gap and planned to an ODI and a T20 match on February 2009.

Sri Lanka has a tour of Pakistan to play three matches ODI series that will be kicked off from 21 January 2009. This is just a 7 days tour. Although the schedules does not fix yet but, it will be finalized soon. Of course it will have to be before 6th March because India has a tour of New Zealand on March.

India vs Sri Lanka 4th ODI the Squad and who will win?

The two serial victories of the ongoing Idea Cup Cricket Tournament make confident India to finish the series result in the 4th ODI. The next match is match will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 Start time 2.30pm (local time) 0900 (GMT) at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. India is thinking positively and Sri Lanka is trying to come back to the series equal. I think India and Indian fans are trying to dream well to make sure the series result but is it possible?? What do you think and who will win the 4th ODI?

The third ODI was full of incitement. This is big warning for the Indian side. Sri Lanka always plays a positive cricket all time from Ranatunaga’s era. When he used to dominate the opposite bowlers he looks cool and smiley. It seems that Mahela Jayawardena is a reflection of him.

Last two victories, however, Indian players will get inspiration to play well. They will have to more conscious about their fault and try to avoid any mistake during the fourth match of the Idea Cup Cricket tournament.

This is the players’ lists of both Teams who will play:

Sri Lanka (from): Mahela Jayawardena (captain), Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya, Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Tillekeratne Dilshan, Chamara Silva, Chamara Kapugedera, Dilhara Fernando, Nuwan Kulasekera, Thilina Thushara, Ajantha Mendis, Mahela Udawatte, Malinda Warnapura.

India (from): Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Harbhajan Singh, Gautham Gambhir, Virat Kohil, Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Irfan Patahan, Yuvraj Singh, Subramaniam Badrinath. Praghyan Ohja, Rudra Prathap Singh.

India vs Sri Lanka Live Score Timing Third (3rd) ODI

A few hours later India and Sri Lanka is going to meet at R Premadasa Stadium. It is the third ODI of the five matches ODI series. Both the team is dreaming to take the lead with the 3rd ODI. Now the result is 1-1 of five-match series between the two countries. The timetable of the match is a Day-Night match and will taken place at 2.30pm (local time) 0900 (GMT) and according to the IST it will be 2:00PM. This will be Holiday match for India fans.

Sri Lanka has won the fist match for eight wickets when India filed to lead a big score than 146 runs by loosing all wickets just playing 46 overs. To reached the target of 147 runs Sri Lanka has to spend 24.5 overs and 2 wickets. BAW Mendis was crowned the man of the match title strong bowling figure (9-4-21-3-2.33). This is his second man of the match against India in as short time. On the other hand Sri Lankan Captain Jayawardene has secured his 11th fifty against India whenever he was not with 61 runs in the first ODI.

We can not say that the second ODI was totally positive for the India although they got victory by three wickets. I think bowling first was the most positive to level the series. In the Test series and two ODIs where abortive batting is the main caused to get defeat. In this series India has secured some lowest records whereas Sri Lanka hero.

Both team’s eyes are to take lead in the series. Sri Lanka steps ahead to compare the last ODIs winning statistics, including the Asia Cup Series which was held in Pakistan. So enjoy the match.

Australia vs Sri Lanka series 2007: Brett Lee is expecting to win the series

Australian pace bowler Brett Lee is expecting that his team and team members will do well in the upcoming two matches test series along with Sri Lanka. He was not on the team last 10 month for his injury. The first match will started from 9 November 2007. Although his pioneer Mc Grath and Shane Worn is not on the team but the team will keen to with the series, he told strongly. As an example he added that they had done well in the last series along with India. They could reflect that success in the forthcoming series too.

"I've done it (led the attack) for about three years now with the one-day attack, so it's not going to be any different," he said. "The fact now that we haven't got Glenn and also Shane Warne to rely on when days get tough - and I'm sure there will be some tough days over the next 12 to 18 months."

The 30-year-old may be on the comeback trail after suffering an ankle injury which ruled him out of Australia's triumphant 2007 World Cup campaign. But, despite toiling without reward during NSW's recent draw with Queensland in the Pura Cup, he feels fit enough to challenge Sri Lanka's celebrated batting line-up and get some wickets.

I am not sure how he is expecting it because Sri Lankan is in Australia now and playing some preparation match with the host and doing very well. Yes, he could expect so because Australia is the most powerful team in the world now. In the all the sectors such as batsmen, blowers and all-rounder are very strong of Australian team.

India vs Pakistan Series: India has brought some changes in the squad

Pakistan is coming in India on November. They will play five ODIs and three tests. They will face each other in the first ODI on 5 November 2007 at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati. It is the first time that India and Pakistan is going to meet again after Twenty20 World Cup Championship which was held in South Africa. India and Pakistan both has made some changes in their teams. India already has declared the 15 members’ squad for the first two ODI matches. A new face would be added in Indian team.

Rahul Dravid and Dinesh Karthik have been left out of the Indian squad for the first two one-dayers against Pakistan. Virender Sehwag makes a comeback, as does Gautam Gambhir, who recently recovered from a groin strain, while Uttar Pradesh allrounder Praveen Kumar is the only new face. Squad for first two one-dayers Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Robin Uthappa, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt & wk), Irfan Pathan, Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan, RP Singh, Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh, Murali Kartik.

Rahul Dravid has failed to make a good score last few matches as a result the selection board has decided to break him for the first two matches against Pakistan. Uttar Pradesh paceman Praveen Kumar has been selected in the replacement of Dravid. In an answer with the reporters, Dilip Vengsarkar, the chairman of the selection committee, said Dravid was "rested". "We decided to give him a break. He's a great player and he will be back soon.”

India former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has analyzed the word “rested” in a different way. He has explained that the words ‘rested and dropped’ are different meaning but use is same. He explained, “'Rested' has become an interesting term in world cricket these days, especially in Indian cricket. If S Badrinath or Ajit Agarkar is left out of the Indian squad, he has been 'dropped'. But if a heavyweight has been omitted, he is said to have been 'rested'.”

India became champion in Twenty20 World Cup Champion by new squad where the most important payers were absent. I think, they are hopping to show something unique in this series too.

Pakistan vs South Africa ODI & Test: Pakistan wants to apply T20 experience on home series

Pakistan wants to apply T20 experience on home series by using this theory, Pakistan is going to play a test and odi series along with South Africa. We all know that Pakistan team become runner-up in the inaugural Twenty20 world cup championship. During the world cup Pakistan bead by India two times only. There was no team similar to Pakistan. Now Pakistan captain Shoeb Malik is hopping that they would implement these experiences during the home series.

The Hindu reported that Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik said on Wednesday that his young team can transform its Twenty20 form into success in the forthcoming Test series against South Africa.

“We have performed very well and since the boys are in good form I am confident that we will carry this form into our Test series against South Africa,” Malik told reporters on his return from Johannesburg.

With some new comer Pakistan showed very good jobs in the inaugural Twenty20 world cup. As the captain is thinking to apply this process, I think it will be good for the Pakistan team.

Pakistan vs South Africa ODI & Test: who will be the vice-captain of South Africa?

Pakistan vs South Africa ODI & Test: who will be the vice-captain of South Africa? After Kallis’s resignation from the vice-captain position, still South Africa did not find out anyone for this position. To talk with media South African captain replied that he would inform later who would be that position. Mentionable, Kallis resigned as Vice-Captain of the team (August 2007). South Africans will play Pakistan in two Test matches and five one-day internationals but some of the cricketers have left for breaking the ties of the with SA cricket.

"The main concern is that players who can still mean a lot to the national team are turning their back on South African cricket. Those are the ones we have to keep and whom the administrators should think about," Smith said.

"Guys of 21 and 22 years are leaving because they just do not have the patience to play their way into the national team. Some players who are near the end of their career are also taking that route.

Captain Graham Smith has express some important points that some of three members have keen to earn more money from ICL and about Kallis he added that he really love cricket and his career for this reason he resign form the Vice-Captain position.
