Chaminda Vaas Rates Sachin Tendulkar as an All Time Great

Sachin Tendulkar has been placed 26^th in the ranking of ICC All Time Great. ICC recently released its all time great ranking recently, and there were many who got surprised to see Tendulkar at the 26^th place in the ranking. Vaas, who is currently playing for Mohun Bagan in West Bengal, said that Sachin Tendulkar would always remain an all time great cricketer. The Sri Lankan pacer is currently out of Sri Lankan ODI team, but he is confident that he can make a comeback to Sri Lanka’s ODI squad. Vaas also praised Sri Lanka’s mysterious spinner Ajantha Mendis, stating that the spinner has improved a lot and has been performing consistently in test and ODI cricket.

There are many who consider Sachin Tendulkar as the greatest ever batsman after Sir Don Bradman. Tendulkar has highest runs in both test and ODI cricket with highest no. of centuries in both formats of cricket. Besides, Tendulkar also holds a number of other batting records.

India tour of Sri Lanka on February 2009

At last, it is finalized that the India vs Sri Lanka series is going to hold in the next month (February 2009). Indian officials decided not to tour in Pakistan after Mumbai terrorist attack when England tour of India. That time the ODI match series brought to end after five out of seven. That was an unwritten pressure to the world cricket every there was doubt about the test series. But, with consent of both teams, especially, when the England intelligent showed green signal to the England Cricket Team. 

After Mumbai attack, all the cricket teams over the world have decided not to visit Pakistan. The two teams India and Sri Lanka authorities thought to use the gap and planned to an ODI and a T20 match on February 2009. 

Sri Lanka has a tour of Pakistan to play three matches ODI series that will be kicked off from 21 January 2009. This is just a 7 days tour. Although the schedules does not fix yet but, it will be finalized soon. Of course it will have to be before 6^th March because India has a tour of New Zealand on March.

Englishman Samit Patel will join in the IPL T20 second season

This is the first time England cricketers are going to attend in the BCCI organized Indian Premier League. Last year, the DLF IPL T20 was inaugurated during the home cricket series of England that is why no players attend in the tournament. Though the English all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas who signed up to play on the favor of Rajsthan Royals but could not able to play. This year, in the second season of the IPL two players have confirmed to join in the tournament. Even the authority has shown green signal to join. 

The young Englishman Samit Patel, the spinner showed very good performances against South Africa. At present he is playing on Nottinghamshire club in the home cricket. The director of Nottinghamshire Mick Newell allows him to join IPL in spite of West Indies Test series.

Last year, Chairman and Commissioner of Indian Premier League (IPL T20) Lalit Modi tried heart and soul and met to the ECB about to English players in IPL and that is why the second season of IPL T20 has been scheduled before the England home series and during the gap before the West Indies tour. 

Will Mohammad Asif be allowed to attend in IPL T20 tournament?

Mohammad Asif, Pakistan pace bowler who played in inaugural India Premier League but for having drugs and was under arrest at the Dubai airport during return to home last year. Now, it is a question that will he get permission to play in the second season of IPL T20. Although Dubai police did filed any case but informed the PCB about his unexpected matter. Still now, PCB has kept him in suspension. May be there is a rule in IPL that no ban players will allow to attend in the T20 tournament. 

But Mohammad Asif strongly showed positive document on behalf of him that has taken treatment from a local Hakim who told him to use but he did not know that it was opium.

"Although no criminal charges was laid against him, but since he was deported Asif cannot enter Dubai unless he is given permission by the immigration and police authorities there," one PCB source said.

 

Although the amount of drug was just 0.24 grams but in the view of law is it totally illegal. Now he has to wait for the PCB’s positive signal. Here I want to mention about the massive terrorist attacks in Mumbai the relationship come negative between the two countries India and Pakistan. Sourav Ganguly will be the Judge of Shah Rukh Khan’s Knights Angels show

First time, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly is going to debut as a judge with the small screen by Shah Rukh Khan’s reality TV show ‘Knights Angles’ to select six cheerleaders for the upcoming second season Indian Premier League that will be taken place on April 2009. The reality TV show ‘Knights Angles’ is suppose to be started form March 7, 2009.

By Shah Rukh Khan’s TV show ‘Knights Angels’ will be looked for style, personality, attitude, rhythm and a fit body cheerleaders for Kolkata Knights Riders. By TV show ‘Knights Angels’ to be selected six talent cheerleaders who will inspire Kolkata Knight Riders during the match time.

 

Prience of Kolkata and also the captain of Kolkata Knights Riders, Sourav Ganguly will be seen as a judge to select the six cheerleaders. It hopes that the talent hung will be telecasted in NDTV and the show will be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. The popular choreographer Shiamak Davar will train the selected girls.

 

The cheerleaders are the attractive parts of the nail-beating Twenty20 Cricket tournaments. This tradition was started from the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup Cricket tournament that was held in South Africa in 2007. And the second Twenty20 World Cup Cricket will be come to the ground in June 2009 that will be hosted by England.

Glenn McGrath to join in IPL T20 second season

Glenn McGrath, the former Australian pacer who played in the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL T20) on behalf of the Delhi Daredevils. The Right arm medium-fast announced retirement form Test cricket on the 23 December 2006 and from ODI during the World Cup 2007. Although Pigeon (nick name of Glenn McGrath in IPL T20) played the first IPL T20 but decided not to appear the second season for Mumbai massive terrorists attacks

"I have agreed to go back for this year (2009). But that was before everything happened over in India anyway, so I guess we will just play it by ear and see what happens closer to the time," McGrath was quoted as saying by the Herald Sun.
