Englishman Samit Patel will join in the IPL T20 second season

This is the first time England cricketers are going to attend in the BCCI organized Indian Premier League. Last year, the DLF IPL T20 was inaugurated during the home cricket series of England that is why no players attend in the tournament. Though the English all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas who signed up to play on the favor of Rajsthan Royals but could not able to play. This year, in the second season of the IPL two players have confirmed to join in the tournament. Even the authority has shown green signal to join. 

The young Englishman Samit Patel, the spinner showed very good performances against South Africa. At present he is playing on Nottinghamshire club in the home cricket. The director of Nottinghamshire Mick Newell allows him to join IPL in spite of West Indies Test series.

Last year, Chairman and Commissioner of Indian Premier League (IPL T20) Lalit Modi tried heart and soul and met to the ECB about to English players in IPL and that is why the second season of IPL T20 has been scheduled before the England home series and during the gap before the West Indies tour.
