World Twenty20 2009: Jacques Kallis in South Africa Squad

I am a big fan of the South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis. There are many things to like him the most world famous cricketers. Very good news for him and his fan that he has draw his name in the declared squad for the next World Twenty20 Cricket tournament in England, is going to play in England from 5 June 2009. He was kept away from the in augural twenty20 wc last year. But, this year, he has got huge popularity after some outstanding performances, especially in the recent IPL T20 on the side of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Deepikaglobal reported:

Smith further added that all-rounder Jacques Kallis, who was included in the South African squad after a fine showing in IPL II, will be crucial for the team's chances at the Twenty20 World Cup. Kallis was dropped from the Proteas squad in the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup held in South Africa two years ago

In the inaugural ceremony, Jacques Kallis’ suspension made him depressed and he decided to walk out from the international cricket too. But later he changed his decision. After two years, he will be appeared on the side of his elevens in England.

South Africa bagged 3-2 series wins over Australia

In the last match of the series Australia beat the host South Africa in the last one-day international of the five-match series. Australia has to face second series defeat to South Africa. Really, this is big tremble for the world champions that they beat in the home and away one-day international series. Although Australia take the test series lead, they lost in Twenty20 and one-day international series.

Next week Australia will visit to Pakistan for five-match ODI and one Twenty20 match. This tour will not take place in any Pakistan home’s grounds. Pakistan will host the series in Dubai, UAE. Now, it is question that how will they perform in the upcoming tour.

The recent tour for Australia is not fruitful, may be they are disappointed to get this results. The visitor won first two Tests among the three and the 3rd result went on the host. Secondly the Twenty series went on South Africa by 2-0. At last the One-Day series result also goes on the host by 3-2.

When IPL 2009 opening ceremony will be held? On 17 April 2009?

In opening day of IPL 2009 two matches and opening ceremony will be held in Cape Town. The Newlands Stadium is well decorated to celebrate the IPL cricket tournaments. After the opening and introduction assembly, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings the meet in the encounter of the Twenty20 formatted most expecting cricket tournaments. The he second IPL match will be kicked off between Bangalore Royal Challengers and Rajasthan Royals at the same ground.

This year IPL will be 15 minutes longer than the previous times. Previously, the Twenty20 cricket was scheduled for 3 hour but in the second season of the IPL 2009, t have brought changes and extended it 15 minutes. Now question is; what will happen in this extended time? I think it is a tactics to get extra revenues from the Advertisers.

The inaugural IPL’s opening ceremony was celebrated in the Bangalore and the match was between Bangalore Royal Challengers v Kolkata Knight Riders. It was totally different opening ceremony and all the fans enjoyed the match especially for batting and huge runs. Kolkata Knight Riders scored 222 runs for 3wickets but the opposition had to sack their innings just earned 82 runs from 15.1 over out of 20.

This year the opening match will be commence on between IPL Mumbai vs IPL Chennai and the team will be leaded star batsman of India ever Sachin Tendulkar and the most successful captain at this moment MS Dhoni.

Although the opening match will be stared from 18 April 2009 but the opening ceremony will be held today. No doubt that the stadium will be full with a lot of bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty along with the cricketers

There was some news in media that the two semi-final and final will be hold in Indian home ground but I now I can see that it will be held on South Africa. Any why, this is very good decision from IPL authority.

IPL 2009 from 18 April in stead of 10

It is confirmed that Indian Premier League second season (IPL 2009) will be host in South Africa. After an official meeting with CSA and IPL commissioner they come to in a point that 59-games will be placed in South Africa. Previously CSA had to compete with UK. Now, the IPL 2009 will be held from 18 April in stead of 10 April that the date was fixed previously. The tournament had to move from India because of Indian upcoming general election that will be the same time. That is why Indian government could not able to provide more security for the celebration of IPL 2009.

The Mumbai attack during the England tour and the Lahore attack on Sri Lanka Cricket team worried about them for more security and this is the main cause of over security.

There is no doubt that India is the most important country for the business about cricket. Even most of the advertisers invests more and look opportunities if the games will hold on Indian ground or the match along with India.

South Africa is the most experienced country of the world to inaugurate Twenty20 formatted tournament. Even they got huge reputation organizing the Twenty20 World Cup that was held in 2007. From this view South Africa is the best place for this tournament.

England is going to inaugurate the Twenty20 World Cup this year. So, they are not less important than the African country. Most probably, the timing becomes the main factor for England. As, IPL is based on Indian people and they have to maintain India time and from this view if they have to follow India time then the match have to organized at 11 AM. So, it is very bad time for England people. But CSA can organize it at 12:30 PM.
