World Twenty20 2009: Jacques Kallis in South Africa Squad

I am a big fan of the South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis. There are many things to like him the most world famous cricketers. Very good news for him and his fan that he has draw his name in the declared squad for the next World Twenty20 Cricket tournament in England, is going to play in England from 5 June 2009. He was kept away from the in augural twenty20 wc last year. But, this year, he has got huge popularity after some outstanding performances, especially in the recent IPL T20 on the side of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In the inaugural ceremony, Jacques Kallis’ suspension made him depressed and he decided to walk out from the international cricket too. But later he changed his decision. After two years, he will be appeared on the side of his elevens in England.

Jacques Kallis is the most favorite batsman and standing on the top position. I am glad to know that he has listed his name as the eighth men who reached to 10,000 in the test cricket. By playing 129^th tests he has archived his name in this honor.

South Africa is playing a test series along with the top-ranked test team Australia. Recently, they South Africa has visited to Australia when the played very positive cricket ever. They won both series trophy (ODI and Test). It is a big honor for my favorite team. On the other hand there is not doubt that the world champions is in pressure to hold their position now a days.

Now, Australia is visiting South Africa for three tests two twenty20 and five ODIs. The first test in going on and today is the 5^th day. JH Kallis is still on batting and they just need 276 runs from 8 wickets. So, it is a big challenge for the two countries.

Jacques Kallis is the first South African who has reached this remark. Really, it is a big achievement for him. He already has drawn his name in ODI history as a 10000 run holder. If he sacked a century in the first test then he will pulled up in the 9^th position where Indian master batsman SM Gavaskar is leading this place with 10122 runs.
