Cricket South Africa president Mtutuzeli Nyoka accused CEO Gerald Majola of lying

Cricket SA president Mtutuzeli Nyoka accused CEO Gerald Majola of lying to him over IPL bonuses issues. Dr Nyoka and Gerald Majola fell into a clash in 2009 when a report was published that Majola and few other SA officials received bonuses for successfully hosting ICC Champions Trophy and Indian Premier League.
However an international investigation was made and Majola was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Talk Radio 702 breakfast host John Robbie interviewed Dr Nyoka after a report that he was asked to resign from his post. Dr Nayoka refused saying that he was neither fired nor he himself rosined but was called by a letter to make his position clear.

Robbie said about the interview Dr Nyoka said he was told none of the Cricket SA officials were given bonuses over the IPL and it was a lie. Nayoka also said expressing deep dissatisfaction that cricket is not a secret world an also not Stalin’s Russia. He also said Cricket SA will never be able to bury the truth. Nyoka made an unconditional apology over the way he treated Gauteng Cricket, Barry Skjoldhammer and the Wanderers.

Dr Nyoka said in 2009 that no international cricket would be played in Wanderers till Gauteng Cricket Board apologies for alleging Majola saying he mismanaged the Indian Premier League (IPL) event. After that Skjoldhammer was forced to retire from his post.

England tour of Bangladesh 2010 Schedule and IPL clash

Recently, Wales and England cricket board has declared its next tour plan for 2010 and as the first tour they have selected Bangladesh. Their visiting time is 17 to March 25 they before Twenty20 world Championship. Host team Bangladesh will face their first New Year cricket match with England next in the fist quarter next year. The visitors will play two test matches and three one-day internationals. This series will be started from 28th February. They will play a three days match between leisure time of one-day internationals and Test matches.

Bangladesh cricket team is fully prepared to take on England and has a determination to play competitive cricket in the upcoming series and will thought to be earning a wins over the Englishmen. We all know that Bangladesh cricket team won both test and one-day international against West Indies and another successful tour so I believe they won’t fear to England Cricket team.

Finishing the tour of Bangladesh, both the team will fly to West Indies for the season 3 Tnwenty20 world Championship. Bangladesh will visit England for a bilateral tour just after seven day.

Schedule:
Feb 17: England arrive in Bangladesh
Feb 28: 1st one-day international, Dhaka
March 2: 2nd one-day international, Dhaka
March 5: 3rd one-day international, Chittagong
March 7-9: Three-day tour match, Chittagong
March 12-16: 1st Test, Chittagong
March 20-24: 2nd Test, Dhaka

England tour of Bangladesh is a natural process and none but IPL have many question marks because. The last tow years, IPL Commissioner Mr Modi tried heart and soul so that England player could evolve in the money making game but fail. Even by being spending huge buck they auctioned perhaps four players but played limited matches for their tight international cricket schedule. They requested ICC to make a window for the events too.

IPL 2009: Will Kings XI Punjab to reach in Semifinal this year?

In IPL 2008 Kings XI Punjab reached to semifinal under Yuvraj Singh’s captaincy. This year the team will appear to the new host, South Africa under his captaincy. In the 2nd Semi-Final along-with Chennai Super Kings on May 31, 2008, they had to leave from IPL final. But this year, they are confidence to improve more and take lead in final.

In an interview Kings XI Punjab Captain Yuvraj Singh explained, “We have a good team this season. The only worry is the pace department. A couple of pacers are coming back from injuries while Sree Santh has been ruled out. But I am confident that the rest of the squad will rise to the occasion. We have a good batting line-up with the likes of Sangakkara, Jayawardene and Shaun Marsh. Besides, we also have Ravi Bopara this year who can also bowl a bit.”

Yes, it is possible to take the team in good position because the franchise have improved a lot in all side by adding some new good quality players for the second season of Indian Premier League. The team’s key bowers Lee and Sreesanth has come back to overcome injury.

IPL 2009: Will Sourav Ganguly be the Captain of Kolkata Knight Riders?

Sourav Ganguly is one of the successful captains of India who leaded Kolkata Knight Riders in the first season in 2008. In the second season he is doubtful to lead the team in the IPL 2009, second season to lead the team that will be taken place in South Africa. After the opinions of the team coach John Buchanan who offers four captains of the team for IPL 2009 who will lead the team.

Hindustantimes wrote:

The KKR management in a statement said that “the idea is to have a set of strategists as is always the case classically in cricket… who will form a team of 4 or 5 core experts in the field of fielding, bowling, batting and data etc. These strategists will assist the one captain on field with their viewpoints on the plan set earlier or shoot from the hip as the case maybe.”

This is a new theory ever. I am not sure that how will he implement it in a match. Although there is no positive signal on behalf of the multi-captain theory but it is really an innovative idea. We have to wait what the decision comes at last. The team management announced that they will public the squad in South Africa and who will be in that squad will be clear after a few days. On April 5, Ganguly is expected to reach South Africa for the IPL 2009 who does not agree with Buchanan multi-captain theory.

IPL 2009 from 18 April in stead of 10

It is confirmed that Indian Premier League second season (IPL 2009) will be host in South Africa. After an official meeting with CSA and IPL commissioner they come to in a point that 59-games will be placed in South Africa. Previously CSA had to compete with UK. Now, the IPL 2009 will be held from 18 April in stead of 10 April that the date was fixed previously. The tournament had to move from India because of Indian upcoming general election that will be the same time. That is why Indian government could not able to provide more security for the celebration of IPL 2009.

The Mumbai attack during the England tour and the Lahore attack on Sri Lanka Cricket team worried about them for more security and this is the main cause of over security.

There is no doubt that India is the most important country for the business about cricket. Even most of the advertisers invests more and look opportunities if the games will hold on Indian ground or the match along with India.

South Africa is the most experienced country of the world to inaugurate Twenty20 formatted tournament. Even they got huge reputation organizing the Twenty20 World Cup that was held in 2007. From this view South Africa is the best place for this tournament.

England is going to inaugurate the Twenty20 World Cup this year. So, they are not less important than the African country. Most probably, the timing becomes the main factor for England. As, IPL is based on Indian people and they have to maintain India time and from this view if they have to follow India time then the match have to organized at 11 AM. So, it is very bad time for England people. But CSA can organize it at 12:30 PM.

Will IPL second season be scheduled South Africa?

It is a big concern, in which venue, IPL second seasons Twenty20 cricket tournament will be taken place. From eight states the authority gets they will get huge security supports but three still left. There is a rumor in media that the second season of IPL could be transferred to South Africa. But the authorities of both countries have denied this reposts.

Cricinfo

But officials from Cricket South Africa and the BCCI downplayed the rumours, insisting that India remained the preferred venue. "There have been no talks," said CSA chief executive Gerald Majola. "It is definitely a rumour."

There is no doubt that India is the best palace to inaugurate cricket games. If you look over then you can find hundreds of stable reasons why India is best. Most important thing is that if this club tournament shifts to SA then all the matches even every most of the cricket playing countries will be worried to play cricket in Indian soil. Even the next World Cup that has been scheduled in 2011.

Security over IPL T20 cricket second season

After attack on Sri Lankan crickets in Lahore, BCCI organized, lacerative India Premier League cricket IPL T20 authority is thinking seriously about security. Indian election and IP T20 cricket match will be scheduled in the same time. So, it arises question that how India government will provide extra security over the IPL tournament. During the second season of the cricket tournament the authority applied for security and the govt. asked to modify the schedule. After re-changing schedule but did not get any response.

Guardian

The IPL is scheduled to be held from 10 April to 24 May, while the elections for the Indian parliament's lower house will take place across the country in five different phases between 16 April and 13 May. The tournament organisers had altered their original match schedule after the federal interior minister, Palaniappan Chidambaram, cited security problems due to the clash between the elections and the IPL. Even the revised match schedule, which sought to keep matches away from a city or state on the polling dates there, did not secure the home ministry's approval. After a video conference involving the interior ministry and senior police officials of seven states that are scheduled to host matches, the home ministry asked IPL officials to again redraw the schedule.

Really, it is burning question for the cricket players are thinking over security concern. I think the govt. will thing seriously about it because this is a big and effective matter for cricket and also for Indian economy during word economic downfall.
