World Twenty20 2009: Jacques Kallis in South Africa Squad

I am a big fan of the South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis. There are many things to like him the most world famous cricketers. Very good news for him and his fan that he has draw his name in the declared squad for the next World Twenty20 Cricket tournament in England, is going to play in England from 5 June 2009. He was kept away from the in augural twenty20 wc last year. But, this year, he has got huge popularity after some outstanding performances, especially in the recent IPL T20 on the side of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Deepikaglobal reported:

Smith further added that all-rounder Jacques Kallis, who was included in the South African squad after a fine showing in IPL II, will be crucial for the team's chances at the Twenty20 World Cup. Kallis was dropped from the Proteas squad in the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup held in South Africa two years ago

In the inaugural ceremony, Jacques Kallis’ suspension made him depressed and he decided to walk out from the international cricket too. But later he changed his decision. After two years, he will be appeared on the side of his elevens in England.

Australia’s hard-hitting batsman David Warner is now considered to be the future of Australia’s batting in twenty20 format of the game. Big hits come naturally to Warner who has become the first ever Australian cricketer to earn a national call up even before playing any first class cricket for his state New South Wales.

David Warner smashed a blistering knock of 89 runs off just 43 balls in his debut match against South Africa at Melbourne. Captain Ricky Ponting compared David Warner with former wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist. His excellent batting performance earned him a lucrative contract with IPL franchise Delhi Daredevils. Daivd Warner has 177 runs at an average of 35.40 in his five twenty20 innings for Australia.
