All about Australia-India-Sri Lanka for CB Series 2008

Australia won the Border-Gavaskar Test series by 2-1. through the draw of the 4th test at Adelaide. In the 4th test, Anil Kumble, the Indian skipper, won the toss and decided to bat first because the pitch of Adelaide was batting helpful. India cashed 526 runs ten wickets in their first innings, where Sachin Tendulkar performed 153 runs. The batting genius Tendulkar reached at his 39 test centuries with this century. Besides, V Sehwag, Harbhajan SinghIn, collected 63 in every one and Indian captain, Anil Kumble collected 87 runs. On the other hand Australia gathered 563 runs for all wickets and they led 37 runs to India. Three centuries came from Australia’s 1st innings, ML Hayden 103, RT Ponting 140, MJ Clarke 118 besides PA Jaques scored 60 runs. India got down for batting in the last season and till the last season of the final day they collected 269 runs for 7 wickets by 90 pvers. Only V Sehwag scored 151in the second innings, others were in coming and going demonstration.

And in the final verdict, Harbhajan was released from the charge without having sufficient evidence but Harbhajan’s 50% match fee has been taken cut.

However, again Australia and India will play the upcoming CB tri-angular ODI series with Sri Lanka. The first ODI held between Australia and India on 3 February at Melbourne cricket ground.

The most top 3 teams in the World will play in this Common Wealth (CB) series. Already Australia and India have played a rivalry test series. So, it is expecting that CB series will be very challenging for both Australia and India, also for Sri Lanka.

Australia Team for Tewnty20 match at Melbourne (1Feb 2008)

Australia will play a Twenty 20 cricket match before the CB Series against India at Melbourne cricket ground on 1 February 2008. There is no doubt that Australia is no. 1 cricket team in the World but they were defeated in every time to India within the two times facing before. Australia is at the no 1 position in both ODI and Test cricket by ICC ranking, which they have been kept for long time. After Twenty 20 World Cup, Australia went to Indian tour then they played 7-matches ODI series and won by 4-2 difference but that time they were defeated by India a Twenty 20 match. Recently, Australia and India have played 4-matches Test series of BV Trophy, where Australia has won by 2-1 defeating India.

Again both the team will face together in a Twenty 20 match at Melbourne before the triangular CB Series. Australia has many great cricketers as like Ricky Ponting, Andrew Symonds, Brad Hog, Mike Hussy, Stuart Clark those who can change the mode of a mach in any moment. Recently, Adam Gilchrist, a great cricketer of Australia, has announced to take retirement from both ODI and Test cricket after the coming CB Series. India is best in Twenty 20 cricket that they were shown becoming champion in the Twenty 20 World Cup 2007. In the Twenty 20 World Cup, Australia was beaten from India in the semi final match. Though they weren’t play before that such cricket game to take part in the World Twenty 20 Cup. Later on, when Australia went to the tour in India in last year then they played a 7-matches ODI series and won the series by 4-2 but they were defeated a Twenty 20 match from India at that time.

Again, it is the three times; the two teams are going to face together in a Twenty 20 match on February 1 at Melbourne. India and Australia have recently played a rivalry Test series where Australia has won the on 2-1 difference. Sri Lankan team is now in Australia after a long interval almost five weeks from International cricket to play the triangular CB Series. The others teams of the series are the host and India who have recently finished the BV trophy where Australia has won the series by 2-1 of the 4 Test match Series. Sri Lanka team was played two tests in Australia about 3 months ago when they were white-wash by the host. However, they defeated England in a subsequent home series.

The team already reached in Sydney and their coach Trevor Bayliss ensured in a immediate viva that his team won’t involve in the race controversy between Australia and India concern team. Shah Rukh Khan will be honored by French government

It established to reward artists who have contributed to promote the field of arts and literature.

The French ambassador to India, Jerome Bonnafont, conferred the title on Shah Rukh after the inauguration of the first 'Rendezvous with French Cinema' festival at Andheri, a northwestern suburb of Mumbai.

The film festival organised by the French Embassy along with Unifrance, an organisation that promotes French cinema worldwide, kicked off with the premiere of "Asterix at the Olympic Games".

Pakistan is strong enough for 4th ODI in Faisalabad

The 4th ODI between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will take place in Faisalabad at Iqbal Stadium on 30 January 2008.

Pakistan won the 3rd ODI by 37 runs defeating Zimbabwe in the Mobilink Cup at Multan cricket ground on 27 January, led the five matches series 3-0. Pakistan won the toss and choose batting first, took 272 runs losing 9 wickets in 50 overs. Kamran Hussain, a Pakistani cricketer, made his debut in that match and took 28 runs remaining unbeaten. Shahid Afridi played a more rapid innings taking 85 runs from only 52 balls where had 2 boundaries, 6 over boundaries in that match and selected man of the match. Among others mentionable Misbah-ul-Haq took 44 and Nasir Jamshed 32. Sohail Tanvir and Shoaib Malik bagged 2 wickets every one, and Kamran Hussain, Shahid Afridi took 1 wickets every one.
