IPL 2009? Preity-Ness chemistry is going bad!

I think this news may impact to them who like Preity-Ness relationship. In some important ceremony Preity Zinta appeared single which was unbelievable such as Filmfare Awards, IPL press conference and Lakme Fashion Week. Last year, it which was rear to them came into sight single.

Apunkachoice

The two were, however, together at the IPL press conference but that was because they had to be. The duo is co-owners of Kings XI Punjab team, so they apparently came together for professional than personal reasons. On top of it, the crackling chemistry of yore was missing between Preity and Ness. They appeared more formal than we have seen them in the past.

Anyway, it will be clear after some days. Very recent news is about Katrina-Salman relationship in media which impact all the bollywood lovers. It seems the year 2009 is going very bad for the bollywood stars.

IPL 2009: Will Sourav Ganguly be the Captain of Kolkata Knight Riders?

Sourav Ganguly is one of the successful captains of India who leaded Kolkata Knight Riders in the first season in 2008. In the second season he is doubtful to lead the team in the IPL 2009, second season to lead the team that will be taken place in South Africa. After the opinions of the team coach John Buchanan who offers four captains of the team for IPL 2009 who will lead the team.

Hindustantimes wrote:

The KKR management in a statement said that “the idea is to have a set of strategists as is always the case classically in cricket… who will form a team of 4 or 5 core experts in the field of fielding, bowling, batting and data etc. These strategists will assist the one captain on field with their viewpoints on the plan set earlier or shoot from the hip as the case maybe.”

This is a new theory ever. I am not sure that how will he implement it in a match. Although there is no positive signal on behalf of the multi-captain theory but it is really an innovative idea. We have to wait what the decision comes at last. The team management announced that they will public the squad in South Africa and who will be in that squad will be clear after a few days. On April 5, Ganguly is expected to reach South Africa for the IPL 2009 who does not agree with Buchanan multi-captain theory.

IPL 2009: Chennai Super Kings v Mumbai Indians 1st match Newlands, Cape Town

During the opening day of the IPL second season Chennai Super Kings v Mumbai Indians will meet for the first encounter at Newlands, Cape Town. This is the first match of the IPL 2009. But, in the inaugural Indian Premier League the opening match was between Bangalore Royal Challengers and Kolkata Knight Riders. The Twenty20 formatted IPL tournament become very popular over the world.

In the first season, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians met at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai, on 23 April 2008. Mumbai Indians who won the toss and invited the CSK bat first. The CSK scored 208 runs from five wickets. The big challenging score faced them in huge pressure but they took the challenge and scored 202 runs from 7 wickets. The performances of both teams were unbelievable and astonished all the fans. The batsmen enjoyed the match delighted the audiences most. It was the 8th match of IPL 2008 season.

This was the second match of Chennai Super Kings and the home match (first Leg) and similarly for Mumbai Indians second match but away. Indian Captain MS Dhoni was the skipper of CSK and for the absence of Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh leaded Mumbai Indians.

A Nehra was the first bowlers who attacked Chennai Super Kings batting line-up at the 4th over. When the team just reached to 31 runs PA Patel surrendered his wicket to A Nehra through the wicket-keeper and it was his only wicket that day. MA Khote was the successful bowler who took 2 wickets by 29 runs. Mumbai Indians’ Captain Harbhajan Singh used 8 men to take the control of opposite batting.

ML Hayden the booming batsmen on the side of Chennai Super Kings scored 81 runs from 102 balls and went back to pavilion by the direct hit of Harbhajan Singh. SK Raina was the second highest scorer of 53 from 54 balls and captain MS Dhoni was the third highest scorer 30 from 31 balls.

Mumbai Indians’ had to minimize them in 202 runs as a result they lost to Chennai Super Kings for 6 runs. No doubt that it was a painful defeat of very narrow defeat. Except opener L Ronchi and lower-middle order batsman MA Khote could not score good but rest of the batsmen presented themselves amazingly. AM Nayar the highest scored and was not out for 45 runs by playing 53 balls with 6x4 and just a single six and RV Uthappa who is one of the popular Twenty20 formatted success batsmen from the Mumbai Indians side scored 43 runs from 38 balls when he hits 6 fours and one six.

Newlands, Cape Town is known as Sahara Park. It is going to the history of the inaugural match of Indian Premier League IPL 2009 second season. It has a capacity of 25,000 audiences and celebrated the first Twenty20 formatted match during the Inaugural World Cup Twenty20 cricket tournament. It was the 4th match of Twenty20 World Cup 2007 between Australia and Zimbabwe and the last Twenty20 cricket tournament was ICC World Twenty20 - 1st semi final which was played along with New Zealand and Pakistan.

There was some news in media that the two semi-final and final will be hold in Indian home ground but I now I can see that it will be held on South Africa. Any why, this is very good decision from IPL authority.

IPL 2009 from 18 April in stead of 10

It is confirmed that Indian Premier League second season (IPL 2009) will be host in South Africa. After an official meeting with CSA and IPL commissioner they come to in a point that 59-games will be placed in South Africa. Previously CSA had to compete with UK. Now, the IPL 2009 will be held from 18 April in stead of 10 April that the date was fixed previously. The tournament had to move from India because of Indian upcoming general election that will be the same time. That is why Indian government could not able to provide more security for the celebration of IPL 2009.

The Mumbai attack during the England tour and the Lahore attack on Sri Lanka Cricket team worried about them for more security and this is the main cause of over security.

There is no doubt that India is the most important country for the business about cricket. Even most of the advertisers invests more and look opportunities if the games will hold on Indian ground or the match along with India.

South Africa is the most experienced country of the world to inaugurate Twenty20 formatted tournament. Even they got huge reputation organizing the Twenty20 World Cup that was held in 2007. From this view South Africa is the best place for this tournament.

England is going to inaugurate the Twenty20 World Cup this year. So, they are not less important than the African country. Most probably, the timing becomes the main factor for England. As, IPL is based on Indian people and they have to maintain India time and from this view if they have to follow India time then the match have to organized at 11 AM. So, it is very bad time for England people. But CSA can organize it at 12:30 PM.

IPL 2009 may be hosted in South Africa

There is rumor in all media about Indian Premier League (IPL) what will be the venues for the second season. IPL 2009 was suffering for security concern because of Indian general election. Lalit Modi, the commissioner of IPL met to the home ministry of Indian govt. more times. But they both fail to come in a row about extra security concern during the match time. So, IPL 2009 may host in out side of India but the  semi final an final will be held in Indian ground.

Cricinfo wrote

"We are looking at their requirements to see whether we can fulfill them. As I understand, we are one of the parties that they have approached, but for now we can say that we are ready to host the IPL. However, we expect to meet the Indian officials soon to understand the situation better."

Although this is not good news for Indian but may have nothing to do extra for IPL 2009 at this moment. But other satisfaction is that CSA feels interest to host the second season of IPL. Even they have experiences how to host or tackle the problems. Most important thing is that South Africa is the fist country that organized the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup tournament in 2007.
