IPL has increased the Relationship between the Cricketers

Australian skipper Ricky Ponting thought the Indian Premier League will increase the relationship between cricketers of both subcontinent and abroad. His comment is not less important, I think so. As an example I want to say that before inaugurate IPL no one thought that Indian-Pakistan will play in a same team that was unbelievable. Even in the last summer the rival between India-Australian was in ultimate stage. Just after 15 days Australian cricketers joined IPL without use any words. Really it is amazing.

"I had Ganguly and Ishant Sharma both in my side. We got on really, really well," he said.

"I think it's a good opportunity for some of those cultural differences or breakdowns in international cricket to be understood better."

Ponting says he is already looking forward to another stint in the IPL.

"The professionalism around the franchises and around the tournament was great," he said.

"I enjoyed and it will be good when I get a chance to go back and play some more."

He says the ICC needs to recognise the success of the Indian Premier League.

"I think they'd be silly if they didn't put it on the calendar," he said.

"There's a real danger that international players will see the glitz and glamour of this event and won't want to play international cricket anymore which I don't think would be great for the game."

All the Australian cricketers who are in international teal will have to return home before 15 May because of tours. Australia has a tour of West Indies form 22 May. They will play a three Test, five ODI and a T20 formatted match.

Chennai Super Kings v Kolkata Knight Riders: Who will win?

Chennai Super Kings v Kolkata Knight Riders: Who will win?

Chennai Super Kings is one of the team which still does not loss any match. It has already played two matches against Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians. The third match it will be played against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 26 at Chidambaram Stadium, in Chennai of the DLF Indian Premier League.

Kolkata Knight Riders is also another team that owns all the previous two matches and got the full score. It has beaten some of the big teams Bangalore Royal Challengers and Deccan Chargers. So the Points table is totally bowed down to the Kolkata Knight Riders. It is the top position holder of DLF Indian Premier League.

Now it is time to see what the time result will come on 26 April between the match Chennai Super Kings v Kolkata Knight Riders. Kolkata is in full strength with some high quality players Ponting, McCullum and Chris Gayle are among them. But the three are in injury they will back to home except Chris Gayle.

Sourav Ganguly's team will be the worst hit by the exodus. Ricky Ponting, McCullum and Chris Gayle, though he is yet to play due to injury, will be missing in action soon. Ponting will leave on May 1, McCullum on April 30 while the injured Gayle, even if he gets fit, will have to leave on May 15. These are big shoes to fill as Ponting is a proven commodity and McCullum became the first superstar of the IPL with a whirlwind record 158 on the opening night. They will look to the Pakistan opener Salman Butt and Zimbabwe's Tatendu Taibu to try plugging the big hole but it remains to be seen how effective they will be. Butt averages only 15.42 at a strike-rate of 81.20 in eight Twenty20 internationals and 16.62 at a strike-rate of 95 from 17 domestic Twenty20 games. Taibu averages 15.70 from 10 domestic Twenty20 matches but the runs have come at a fair clip of 122.65. Perhaps, Mohammad Hafeez will be pushed up the order. There is some good news for Kolkata, as the Pakistani seamer Umar Gul, who has joined the squad, will beef up the bowling.

Here is a complete Point Table till 24 April. After losing the third match against Rajasthan Royals Deccan Chargers confirm its tour to home. On the other hand Rajasthan Royals heroic come back driving them to the knock out league.

Although Kolkata Knight Rider is in good position because of its team member’s injury make them anxious. The players who are in injury may play on the match against Chennai Super King. The Chennai Super King is lead by Indian ODI captain MS Dhoni. There others strong team members are Matthew Hayden, Stephen Fleming, Michael Hussey who are powerfully dominating the other bowlers of the opposite team. Indian Twenty20 world Champions Trophy winner bowers Joginder Sharma is also in the team. In the last match his last over’s performance help Chennai Super King although the over was not less expensive.

The Prince of Kolkata Sourav Ganguly is the leader of the Kolkata Knight Riders who is the most successful Test Captains among the Indian captain ever. With DLF Indian Premier League, he is introducing with T20 matches. Now it is the question, will he be able to lead the teal well and perform well for his personal career?

Gilchrist talks on behalf of Mathew Hayden

Adam Gilchrist says that Matthew Hayden is the most honorable person of the Australian team yet, Cricket Australia having warning him for abusing Harbhajan Singh an ‘obnoxious weed’. Gilchrist said that the team was conscious to their behavior and concentrated to their playing of the CB series. He added more that we weren’t worry for saying it to Harbhajan Singh. According to my view, Matthew didn’t do such behavior to any player. We do not care what the other team’s thing about Matthew Hayden.

Gilchrist also included that before it Ricky Ponting told Harbhajan ‘off’ then he was suspected form an ODI match in Adelaide. But Ricky Ponting didn’t say like this words that was expressed in daily news paper.

This is the last international series for Gilchrist so he wants to enjoy the series. He is pleased because, he didn’t involved with any allege of ongoing controversial between Australia and India. Now, his sight is on the up coming two or three final matches between Australia and India. He is hopeful to do soothing well in the next final matches of his last ODI matches in his carrier.

Gilchrist said, “I think every body has a little repentance over it but all of us should try to focus to the finals and play some good cricket forgetting all incident of miss behaves to each other.” source Cricinfo

Ricky Ponting’s century and next

Australian skipper, Ricky Ponting played an astonishing innings in 10th match in CB series against India. He played an impressive innings by scoring 124 from 132 balls in that match, which proves his superiority. He was inspired through his young opponents in the series.

Ponting played his first shot between cover and point and took three runs by singles. After this two fours came from one over off Sreesanth. His lost confidence was back when pulled a over boundary off Irfan Pathan’s over. From the opening he began his playing in showing as well as aggressively and his strokes carried power. His batting performance has proved that he is one of the best batsmen in this modern generation. Ponting’s initial run came from a boundary and when it was not possible any boundary between overs 10-19 then he was taking the singles, twos and threes.

Ponting is happy to back in runs. Comparing two days earlier match against Sri-Lanka, the quality of this match was best, in that match, he got out before facing 33 deliveries. He says that the wicket was best for his team because they have played many matches in the tournament. So, it was good for them especially for Hayden, Andrew Symonds and Ponting own self for back to form. Ponting scored 124, which is the highest in the CB series and Andrew Symonds, who scored 59.

Since, Andrew Symonds has backed his as usual figure and Hayden has given an explosive beginning, so, ponting think that they could regain their losing edge immediately. Source Cricinfo

Twenty20 World Cup Championship 2007: Ponting to back for T20

At the last moment of leaving the home aim to T20 in South Africa, Australian Captain Ricky Ponting fails to join with their crew for his wife’s unexpected illness. After reaching South Africa, Australia took part in some practices matches. They beat New Zealand but lost along with South Africa. Ponting declared that he might join the T20 world cup in South Africa if his wife will come round.

THE AUSTRALIAN reported "Fortunately Rianna's health has improved over the last few days and I'm hoping travel plans can be finalised as soon as possible," Ponting said in the statement.

"I'm grateful for the support we've both had from Cricket Australia and my team-mates and in particular I'd like to thank (vice-captain) Adam Gilchrist and (coach) Tim Nielsen for their leadership roles in the early days of the Australian squad's first-ever Twenty20 international tour.

"It made things easier here knowing the team was in such good hands.

"With things on improve; Rianna and I are both keen that I now focus on the job at hand with the Australian team."

There is no doubt that Ponting is an important person of the Australian Cricket. Without him Austalia will be a boat with a rudder in South Africa on T20 world cup championship 2007.

Twenty20 World Cup 2007: Australin may miss Ponting for Twenty20 world Cupu!

At the eleventh hour of the preparation and before the time of Australian team left to South Africa the questions arise that the Australian captain Ricky Ponting will not go to the attend the twenty20 world cup which will be in South Africa from 11 September 2007.

Cricket20 reported that he will not join for his family problem and the opinion of that Vice-captain Adam Gilchrist would not elaborate on Ponting's family-related issue, but is confident the captain will be available in time for the opening match against Zimbabwe on 12 September.

"I've been in touch with him and he said he's most likely at the moment to join us again in a few days' time, but we'll just wait and see how things pan out over the next few days," said Gilchrist.

"He is obviously disappointed not to be with the team for the start of the tour and has asked if his privacy could be respected in the meantime."

I am not sure, what is the main factor of the absence of Ricky Pointing. All are hopping that he will join on the first match on 12 September along with Zimbabwe.
