Duncan Fletcher to Give Consultancy to New Zealand

Duncan Fletcher is going to work as a full time coaching consultant for New Zealand for the rest of their visit in India. He is a former cricket coach of England. Mark Greatbatch is New Zealand’s present coach. He has welcomed Fletcher with the hope Fletcher will offer valuable ideas.

Mark Greatbatch has confidence in Fletcher. He said Fletcher has great career behind and gathered vast experience. So to get some feedback from such a person is always an opportunity.

In fact Fletcher will not take the duties of head coach. He will be in the background and simply watches the practice, and see first couple of games.  The coaches will sit with him and discuss his thoughts on cricket

Roger Mortimer is the high performance manager of New Zealand team. He is also pleased as he thinks Fletcher will have a full exposure of New Zealand players and management and give valuable ideas on it. Duncan is a world class cricket expert. New Zealand authority expects someone will get valuable cricketing knowledge from Duncan and engage them for the team.

New Zealand is very worried about their recent performance. They have lost in the last six one day internationals including the first opening one day with India on 28th November. They also lost test series 1-0 against India during this visit. Before this they lost both one–day and Test series with Bangladesh.

India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are jointly hosting Cricket World Cup 2011. If any of the teams can qualify for knockout stages they will have to play their knockout match in their own land irrespective of where they finish in group. If two host nations draw each other up to knockout stages, the team placed higher in the pre- tournament seeding will get preference. If India draws Sri Lanka in knockout stages India will play home as they were placed bettering pre tournament seeding. Sri Lanka will play India away but Bangladesh and other teams at home. If Bangladesh goes to knockout stages drawing another host nation, they will play abroad but home if they are to play with other nation in this stage.

This rules implies that the fate of the host teams can’t be known until the last group game on March 20. The last group game will be between India and West Indies in Chennai.

Two quarter finals will be played in Mirpur, one in Ahmedabadand the forth in Colombo. If all the host nations qualify foe quarterfinals and do not draw each other they will play simply at home.

To win Cricket World Cup Team India Needs physically fit Players

Indian greatest all-rounder world cup winning captain commented on Team India’s preparation for world cup campaign. He said what is most important for India to win world cup on their own soil is to remain 100% physically fit. He also upheld his reason. According to him Indian team has fire power in all departments from top to bottom. But winning world cup cricket is something very special. Having fire power is not enough. He says being physically and mentally fit specially the bowling players is a must if India is aspirant of winning the cup. In his opinion the bowlers are the strongest pillar for any team. He says generally the bowlers are more prone to physical injury if they have more muscles in the upper part of the body and legs are not fit enough to carry that heavier upper part. He also expresses his dissatisfaction about too much experiment in the team .He believes that the experiment with the player should be stopped least it may lead to devastating effect on the team .He also added the selectors should have clear image of those players who will represent team India better and who are physically fittest.

Piracy hampers Bollywood cinema Market in Pakistan

Pakistan is a large market for Bollywood movies. The Pakistanis cherish greatlove for the Bollywood movies. They love the and the cinematic thrill melodrama of the movies, glamour of their Bollywood heroes and heroines. But piracy plays very like a villain in Hindi cinema in Pakistan. In fact piracy is quiet rampant here. People of Pakistan like Bollywood movies for about 30 years. But the piracy is embittering their pure pleasure. One can collect the pirate copy of a movie on the same day it is released. Pirate copy never produces better quality. It is spoiling taste of cinema lovers at the same time affecting movie business. The hall owners can’t afford that. It’s true that easy availability of pirated movies make Hindi cinema more accessible to larger number of people. It harms the industry. The lower quality oh the printed CDs and DVDs is a huge price for the business.

Nadeem Mandviwalla, the managing director of Mandviwalla Entertainment. He is the owner of Nishat and DHA cinema complexes in Lahore. He told IANS that Karachi had 36 stand alone theatres, and one multiplex with five screens, Universe Cineplex. Nadeem Mandviwalla said the theatre owners are now very much helpless. They can tackle it only by giving an "enhanced viewing experience" to film buffs. Nadeem wanted to give the Pakistani cinema-buffs complete cinematic experiences. He is building a digital cinema complex in Karachi. her is no 3D cinema in Pakistan. This month Nadeem Mandviwalla is going to introduce 3 d cinema .He is sure the audience will get an exclusive experience for the first time in the country.

In Pakistan chiefly the elite class and middle class people come to cinema halls. Nadeem and his fellow companies want to entertain them with quiet different experience .Nadeem says that pirated cinema is lessening the number of particular type of audience to halls. But, he hopes the real movie watcher will never mind bearing a little more for a better experience.

In Pakistan a cinema ticket in a multiplex costs 350 Pakistani rupees while in a stand-alone theatre it costs 250 for gallery, 150for dress circle and 70 Pakistani rupees for stall.

Pakistanis are fervent adherent to Bollywood movie world. Zahra Lotia is a student. She says to IANS correspondents that there is a deep relationship between the culture of the two countries and also the way a cinema is presented has a similarity. So she loves the sentimentality .Melodrama, glamour – every thing of Bollywood film world Shah Rukh Khan is extremely popular among the older while the young generation are fans of Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. , Karan Johar is a great and favorite film maker in their eyes.

Pakistan is a country of bloodshed, chaos and uncertainty. The Bollywood movie brings them a great relief. So says Ruquia, the owner of a beauty saloon. She says we live our life in hard way. Our love for Bollywood brings us a relief from the regular news of blood shedding and killings and panic."

Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium will be a venue of World Cup Cricket 2011

ICC has approved Feroz Shah Kotla to be reinstated as international playground. The venue can host international match from January 1, 2010. After one year’s suspension the field will be alive again. ICC suspended the international status of the venue in December 2009 over a pitch fiasco made for a one day match between India and Sri Lanka.

After the approval of ICC the remedial works are running in full swing. ICC General Manager Cricket, David Richardson expressed his satisfaction over the remedial activities and hoped that they would prepare the surface to the mark of international standard.

“Yes, the DDCA has been informed verbally by the BCCI that ICC has lifted the ban on Ferozeshah Kotla stadium. We will be getting the written report tomorrow,” DDCA secretary Sneh Bansal said.

The suspension of the venue dimmed the expectation of India to become the host of the coming World Cup Cricket to be held next year. Now the withdrawal of the suspension brings back their opportunity to become the host.
Four matches of World Cup Cricket are expected to be held in Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. The first match is on 14 February between South Africa and West Indies.
