After the 2008 hit Taare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan starrer upcoming film Ghajini, which is a remake of 2005 Tamil film Ghajini, will hit the screens on 25 December 2008. Ghajini means powerful man. Directed by A. R. Murugadoss, the movie features Aamir Khan, Asin Thottumkal and Jiah Khan in leading roles. Music was done by A. R. Rahman and the lyrics of the songs are written by Prasoon Joshi. The movie is produced by Allu Aravind.
Director A. R. Murugadoss earlier made Ghajini in Tamil language in 2005. Tamil superstar Surya Sivakumar was in the lead role of the Tamil movie. Interestingly, Tamil actress Asin Thottumkal was also in the female lead role of the Tamil movie Ghajini and this time she is going to debut in Bollywood with the Hindi film Ghajini. Written by A.R. Murugadoss, the story of the movie shows a rich businessman, Sanjay Singhania, who loses his memory for a short term after his girl friend got murdered. After retaining his memory, Sanjay heads to take revenge of the murder of his girlfriend and tries to find out the murderers.
