YouTube in 10 Domains for 9 Countries And..

We all are fans of YouTube. Who does not enjoy YouTube? Not me. One problem with YouTube is that until now it had only one domain (http://www.youtube.com/) and it heavily featured videos related to the US. So, users like me from other parts of the world could not enjoy YouTube so much. So, to get more users and give the users local touch, YouTube has launched its services in 9 more domains.

Google’s official blog has written about it:

The YouTube community began life speaking English, but thanks to the uniquely expressive medium of video, today there is a global village of content makers and viewers. With a noteworthy number of YouTube visitors now coming from outside the U.S., it's high time we go multilingual.

Today at a Google press event in Paris, Chad Hurley and Steve Chen are announcing the launch of nine new domains in Brazil, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Ireland, and the UK.

It is good news for the users in these 9 countries. They will have more localized contents in YouTube. For the people in the rest of the world, YouTube.com is yet the best place for the time being.
