Geeta Basra: A new face in bollywoood film industry

Geeta Basra used to live in England’s island city Portsmouth and comes from England to Mumbai to be a Bollywood star and she entered in Bollywood through the Directer Aaditya Datt’s film Dil Diya Hai. Before entering to the film industry she performed on stage. 

Now, Geeta Basra is a new actress in Bollywood and started her film carrier in 2006 by the Hindi film ‘Dil Diya Hai’ and her second movie was ‘The train’ in 2007. 

A quote from Santabanta.com "The sheer vision of the director and an emotional story that runs with it", Geeta is prompt in replying, "Apart from lead roles, there were offers for item songs and music videos but I didn't want to do anything where my heart was not set in. 

The film ‘Dil Diya Hai’ was released in 2006. Film star Emraan Hashmi acted along with Geeta Basra. Other actors were Mithun Chakraborty (Rony) Ashmit Patel (Kunaal Malik). Emraan Hashmi (saheel) and Geeta Basra (Neha Mehra) was in lead role. 

In 2007, her 2^nd film was ‘The train’ was directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala and Raksha Mistry. In this film, Geeta Basra acted a part of seductress role. Her name was Roma kapoor.  Emraan Hashmi played Vishal Dixit and Sayali Bhagat acted Vishal Dixit’s wife as Anjali Dixit. In the film, Vishal Dixit and Anjali Dixit had a 5 years odl daughter. Here Geeta Basra acted a seductress part but it was lead role. The train remakes Hollywood film Derailed. Although Geeta Basra’s two films did not get any successful in box-office but her act came on gossiping in Bollywood. Because Emraan Hashmi and Geeta Basra did a very a close scan.
