Research in Motion revealed BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220


On September 9, 2008, Research In Motion (RIM), introduced its new BlackBerry flip phone or clamshell mobile phone at the Fall CTIA show. Clamshell phones are quite popular among fashion conscious people. The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 will be available in late 2008 through T-mobile. In order to widen its customer base, RIM introduced this new stylish phone.

BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 contains all the core features of BlackBerry model. RIM did not disclose the price.

  • Inside, the BlakBerry Pearl Flip 8220 comes with 65,536-color, 320x240-pixel TFT display.

  • The BlakBerry Pearl Flip 8220 supports quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900). It will support the GSM networks in America, Europe and Asia. The phone also supports EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution).

  • The BlakBerry Pearl Flip 8220 comes with 2 megapixel camera with flash.

  • With the new BlakBerry Pearl Flip 8220, you can do video recording.

  • The BlakBerry Pearl Flip 8220 comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
