Preity Zinta- Ness Wadia-Kings XI Punjab and squad for second season

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia are jointly the owners of Kings XI Punjab. In the recent auction the franchises took parts and bought the English all-rounder Ravi Bopara for $450,000. In the inaugural ceremony of Indian Premier League (IPL T20) the Kings XI Punjab had to surrendered to the Chennai Super Kings at semi-final.

Sify.com reported:

"It's good news. I don't want to concentrate on the price so much. I’m just delighted to be involved. I sat and watched the auction and as soon as someone put their finger up and said 'we'll have him for $150,000' I was happy," said Bopara.

"There was a bit of a bidding war and I was quite nervous which was weird. Everybody is keen to get involved in the IPL because it is jazzed up and you are playing against and alongside the best players in the world," he added.

During the auction Preity Zinta faced huge competition with bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan. Preity tried to take Bangladeshi pacer Mashrafe Mortaza but she could not overtake the king Khan.
