Canon has introduced four new camera models under its PowerShot line and the new models will reportedly go on sale in October with prices ranging from $299.99 to $499.99. The four new models are: G10, the SX10 IS, SD990 IS and SD880 IS- which have different features and price tags. Cannon PowerShot G10 replaces G9. The new flagship model for Canon PowerShot, G10 comes with 3.0-inch LCD display and offers 28mm wide-angle lens, 5x optical zoom, 14.7 megapixel sensor. Optical Image Stabilization is available in all four models of PowerShot line.
SX10 model offers 8mm - 560mm (35mm format equivalent) wide-angle lens with 20x optical zoom, featuring 10 megapixel sensor as well as 2.5-inch LCD display. Another attractive feature of Canon PowerShot SX10 is its ‘MovieSnap’ mode by which users can record video while capturing still images. You have to cost $399.99 for owning a SX10 model.
The new offers of Canon PowerShot line are seen in SD990 IS and SD880 IS models- the two Digital Elph models. With 14.7 megapixel resolution, SD990 IS offers 3.7x optical zoom, besides a “Quick Shot” mode enabling faster shutter speed. A price tag of $399.9 is attached with Canon PowerShot SD990. Then Cannon PowerShot SD880 IS comes with 4x wide-angle optical zoom and features a 10 megapixel sensor. It has a 3.0-inch LCD display on the back and comes in two-toned black and silver body. Price of SD880 IS costs $299.99.
