Sri Lanka vs England ODI Series: Sri Lankan Bowling for the second ODI

Sri Lanka vs England ODI Series: Sri Lankan Bowling for the second ODI. Sri Lanka is playing strongly in the ongoing ODI series along with England. 2nd ODI of Sri Lanka v England will take place at Dambulla - Oct 4, 2007 (14:30 local, 09:00 GMT). In the first ODI England did build any strong base against Sri Lankan Bowling. In this match Sri Lankan Bowler MF Maharoof completed his spell and took 4 Wickets by 31 runs.

Well, that was emphatic. Maharoof was the stand-out bowler today with 4 for 31 as Sri Lanka absolutely thumped England. Collingwood spoke before the game of England forgetting their routing last time they met at this ground - routed for 88, beaten by ten wickets - but here they've been beaten by another sizeable margin, this time 119 runs. Sri Lanka's plan went...to plan: Vaas was hardly used - he bowled five overs. Earlier, their batsmen negotiated a slow pitch well and were in control from the off. A sorry England now have much to do to pick themselves up and dust themselves down by Thursday. Do join us again then. In the meantime, thanks for following today, from me (Jenny), Martin and the Andrews.

Except AN Cook’s good scored of 46 runs no batsmen did not do well. When she England scored 102 Cook hunted by Maroof and in the score of 150 England had to stop their innings. As a result, Sri Lanka defeated England by 119 runs.
