Cricket South Africa president Mtutuzeli Nyoka accused CEO Gerald Majola of lying

Cricket SA president Mtutuzeli Nyoka accused CEO Gerald Majola of lying to him over IPL bonuses issues. Dr Nyoka and Gerald Majola fell into a clash in 2009 when a report was published that Majola and few other SA officials received bonuses for successfully hosting ICC Champions Trophy and Indian Premier League.
However an international investigation was made and Majola was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Talk Radio 702 breakfast host John Robbie interviewed Dr Nyoka after a report that he was asked to resign from his post. Dr Nayoka refused saying that he was neither fired nor he himself rosined but was called by a letter to make his position clear.

Robbie said about the interview Dr Nyoka said he was told none of the Cricket SA officials were given bonuses over the IPL and it was a lie. Nayoka also said expressing deep dissatisfaction that cricket is not a secret world an also not Stalin’s Russia. He also said Cricket SA will never be able to bury the truth. Nyoka made an unconditional apology over the way he treated Gauteng Cricket, Barry Skjoldhammer and the Wanderers.

Dr Nyoka said in 2009 that no international cricket would be played in Wanderers till Gauteng Cricket Board apologies for alleging Majola saying he mismanaged the Indian Premier League (IPL) event. After that Skjoldhammer was forced to retire from his post.
