Pakistan announced Squad for ICC World Twenty20 2009 including ICL players

Pakistan has announced the squad for the upcoming Twenty20 world championship that will be hosted by England. Pakistan, the inaugural championship runner-up has announced squad appeared some instability because they have included three names who was involved with the unauthorized Indian Cricket League. Although Abdul Razzaq, Naved-ul-Hasan and Imran Nazir have been named in the squad but still their confirmation to attend in the ICC World Twenty20 2009 championships second season is still on pending and have to wait for ICC approval.

 

"We have Razzaq, Hasan and Nazir in the preliminary squad but their inclusion in the final team will depend on clearance from the ICC," Abdul Qadir, the PCB's chief selector, said.

 

Earlier this year ICL minimized it rule over the international players who joined in the rival or unauthorized cricket league so that they can attend in the domestic cricket bu they have to back in the October-November edition this year. Following this rule some of Pakistan players got support from their High Courts on behalf of them.
