All about Australia-India-Sri Lanka for CB Series 2008

Australia won the Border-Gavaskar Test series by 2-1. through the draw of the 4th test at Adelaide. In the 4th test, Anil Kumble, the Indian skipper, won the toss and decided to bat first because the pitch of Adelaide was batting helpful. India cashed 526 runs ten wickets in their first innings, where Sachin Tendulkar performed 153 runs. The batting genius Tendulkar reached at his 39 test centuries with this century. Besides, V Sehwag, Harbhajan SinghIn, collected 63 in every one and Indian captain, Anil Kumble collected 87 runs. On the other hand Australia gathered 563 runs for all wickets and they led 37 runs to India. Three centuries came from Australia’s 1st innings, ML Hayden 103, RT Ponting 140, MJ Clarke 118 besides PA Jaques scored 60 runs. India got down for batting in the last season and till the last season of the final day they collected 269 runs for 7 wickets by 90 pvers. Only V Sehwag scored 151in the second innings, others were in coming and going demonstration.

However, the series has been finished but there were happened some unexpected controversial incident, especially in 2nd test. Harbhajan Singh was charged with hybridism for reviling to Andrew Symonds as a monkey. Also, the umpires, especially Steve Buckner, were taken many wrong decisions against India. After then ICC released him for umpiring in the next 3rd match. So, Harbhajan was suspended by the match referee of that match for three matches but Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) applied against that illegal verdict to ICC. However, according to ICC decision Harbhajan’s next hearing was fixed on 28 January. And in the final verdict, Harbhajan was released from the charge without having sufficient evidence but Harbhajan’s 50% match fee has been taken cut.

However, again Australia and India will play the upcoming CB tri-angular ODI series with Sri Lanka. The first ODI held between Australia and India on 3 February at Melbourne cricket ground.

The most top 3 teams in the World will play in this Common Wealth (CB) series. Already Australia and India have played a rivalry test series. So, it is expecting that CB series will be very challenging for both Australia and India, also for Sri Lanka.

There are some talented batsmen and bowlers in Aussies side such as Ricky Ponting, Mathew Hedin, PA Jaques, MJ Clarke, A Symonds those who are the main batting support in Aussies squad. Besides, they have the world most bowling attacking power.

Indian most hard hitting batsman V Sehwag has comes back in his as usual from after many days so, Indian team may get extra benefit from him in the coming series. Besides, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar are dependent batting in Indian squade. Besides, Rudra Pratap Singh, Irfan Pathan, Sreesanth, who has included in Indian team recovering his injury after a long time, will having in fast bowling attracts. Both India and Sri Lanka included many young cricketers for the CB series.
