Shah Rukh Khan to Perform in the Coronation of Bhutan’s New King

Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk will ascend to the throne of Bhutan pretty soon as the new king through a power-packed coronation program in the presence of some of the high-profile Indian politicians including chief guest President Pratibha Patil. UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is in the list of invitees. Along with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will reportedly join the coronation program of the new king.

On the coronation of Bhutan’s new king, Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan will perform along with Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif at Thimpu’s new soccer stadium. As a movie-freak person, the would-be king Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk has made a royal request for performance by Bollywood stars. At 29, he is going to be world’s youngest king. No doubt, a glittering performance is expected on the coronation ceremony of Bhutan’s new king.

Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi has become the highest paid singer in Bollywood’s music industry as the singer is now demanding Rs. 5 lakhs for a song in a movie. Plus I want to create a niche market for myself. I don’t want to sing for any film that comes my way. I would love to work with only those big filmmakers who can afford my price. But looking at the kind of offers I am getting nowadays I don’t think so my big price is being a hurdle at all!”

Hardly any singer is now demanding money at the range of Rs. 5 lakhs in Bollywood. Sonu Nigam is currently asked Rs 2 lakh per song in the industry, while other popular sings like Shaan and KK are getting 25-40 thousand rupees per song. Abou Diaby needs few more weeks to shake off his thigh injury.

Bolton Wanderers is still missing their record signing Johan Elmander as he needs one more week to recover from hamstring injury. Matthew Taylor is out with ankle injury, while Gary Cahill will miss Arsenal’s visit due to suspension. So, Bolton Wanderers’ attacking line up seems to be very week.

Williams Gallas Late Equalizer Salvaged Arsenal a Point against Dynamo Kiev in Champions League Opener

A late equalizer from Captain William Gallas salvaged a 1-1 draw for Arsenal against Dynamo Kiev at the Valeri Lobanovsky stadium last night. Arsenal was forced to go behind in the match when Kiev’s Guinea striker Ismael Bangoura scored from a penalty in the second half. Arsenal created some good chances in the first half, but their abject show in the second half was disappointing. In this sense, their performance has been pretty good this time around, even though Arsenal was seemingly going toward another defeat last night before William Gallas slotted his close-range shot into the post just two minutes from time.

Arsenal manage Arsene Wenger admitted that Gunners had not played better than Dynamo Kiev in the second half, though he felt Arsenal could have won the match in the first half, indicating the chances his boys failed to capitalize on in the first half. Kiev manager Yuri Semin is happy with the performance of his boys, stating that a draw against Arsenal is an acceptable result and his boys played really very well in the second half. However, Yuri Semin also pointed out the mistakes Dynamo Kiev did that snatched a seeming victory from their hand.

Anyway, I think, Arsenal has got off to a good start in Champions League 2008-09 campaign, considering their previous performances in Ukraine.
