IPL 2009: Adam Gilchrist fastest half century and way of wins semi final

Deccan Chargers skipper Adam Gilchrist has score a fastest half century during the 1^st semi final of second season of IPL T20 against Delhi Daredevils. He has achieved the record from 17 balls. Although there is faster fifty in Twenty20 formatted tournament but in IPL T20 is fastest. The match was played at SuperSport Park, Centurion in South Africa on 22 May 2009.

 

Among the 17 balls, he sends the ball 8 time out of the boundary rope and with 2 over bounders. Deccan Chargers, who chose to field first and felt huge pressure in the first over losing two wickets without adding runs in the scoreboard.

 

Before post this article who was not out and personally Adam Gilchrist 85 runs form 33 balls. To score this runs he hits 10 fours and 5 sixes. He was stepping on the way of century but Mishra stopped him at 85 runs.
