It has confirmed that the ICC Champions Trophy 2009 will be held in South Africa. The cricket tournament was scheduled to host by Pakistan but due to the players security concern it was postponed. Later, the venue was scheduled in Sri Lanka but due to weather concern it becomes doubtful. In the recent meeting ICC organizing committee has confirmed the venue that will be held on September-October this year. Here, I want to mention that the ICC organizers have taken a timely decision. South Africa praised so much organizing the inaugural ICC Twenty20 World Cup Championship in 2007.

"During the meeting, SLC said it could not guarantee there would be no rain in Colombo during the dates set aside for the tournament, September 24 to October 5, 2009," according to a statement in the ICC website.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2009 Cricket tournament will be held from 24 September to 5 October. Due to terrorist attack on the earlier of March, it was scheduled to shift in Sri Lanka but the ICC was worried about the weather. Sri Lanka is a country is surrounded with water and in September-October it may huge rains.
