New Zealand vs West Indies T20: who will win?

The last three matches between New Zealand and West Indies did not show any conclusions. There were one T20 and two tests. It is really interesting when any match dismissed without result. For Test match is it a common sight but for One Day International Cricket and the new formatted games T20 it dispersed the cricket fans.

It happened in the recent T20 match between New Zealand vs West Indies that was played at Eden Park, Auckland, on 26 December 2008. After drawn in the two tests, the eyes were fixed to the T20 match to get a result but the audiences were hopeless at the end of the first T20 match. May be it is the second incident after the inaugural World Cup T20 that was inaugurated in South Africa. The final match between India and Pakistan become drawn but dismissed by bowl-out of the T20 World Cup 2007.

Almost all the batsmen of the host New Zealand did not play well but LRPL Taylor and SB Styris scored an honorable score in the first T20 at Eden Park, Auckland. Taylor scored 63 by dominating 50 balls and by spending 70 minutes in crease. On the other hands Styris is the second highest scorer by securing 21 runs from 12 balls. The host scored 155 runs by losing 7wickets.

Although the bowers of the opposition West Indies did not do well except CH Gayle who took 2 wickets by bowing 3 overs but the all the bowers kept stop the opposite batsmen to add a big runs on the scoreboard.

This is not end here. Form New Zealand side similar scene replayed. The skeeper and all-rounder DL Vettori took 3 wickets and JS Patel took 2 wickets.

By loosing 8 wickets the Caribbean had to stop the innings in 155 and remain satisfy becoming drawn.

It is a terrible series for both the teams for achieving nothing. So, the duo will try hart and soul to win the 2nd T20 matches that is going to held at Seddon Park, Hamilton.
