Playing against the Singapore Pakistan Association (who incidentally are the Division 3 Champions last year) and coming at No. 3 in a bright and sunny day after the fall of the first wicket early in the very 3rd over, Sagar went about his business as usual, hitting the ball cleanly from the sweetest part of his bat and dispatched it all around the fence in Kallang. He reached his first hundred in 24 balls. Though there was not even a thinking in his mind about the possibility of a double hundred and he was more focused on his team reaching 300, as he was cruising to see the team reach the 300 mark, the possibility of his making a double hundred was also well within his reach in the process. Grasping this golden opportunity as the fielders were tiring in the process of fetching the ball far from the boundary almost every ball, he went on to score the first ever double hundred, not only in Singapore but in the Twenty-20 competitions held anywhere in the world. Sagar ended up with unbeaten 219 in 56 balls with 18 sixes and 23 fours compiled in 86 minutes. His team – Marina Desi Boys ended up with 368 for 3 in 20 overs.
