The series between Sri Lanka and England has resulted equal now. In the first match England lost seriously by 119 runs but in the second match England beat Sri Lanka 65 runs. The match was so exciting and very good performances for England. England’s back to the series may be mentally dispersed Sri Lanka. Ryan Sidebottom and Stuart Broad first time success helped them to achieve the goal of victory. If someone thinks that after this victory England have to remove their name from white-wash victory along with Sri Lanka. I thing it is totally wrong because, in the last series along with India England played a very good cricket and won the ODI series.
The pace duo built on man-of-the-match Owais Shah's superb 82 as England dismissed the World Cup runners-up for 169 after posting 234-8 to win their first one-day international in Sri Lanka since 1982.
"It was very disappointing to lose the first game. The boys showed a lot of character to bounce back. We were fantastic in all departments of the game," said Collingwood.
Left-arm paceman Sidebottom (2-23) and Broad (2-42) troubled the Sri Lankan batsmen with pace and movement under lights to reduce the hosts to a paltry 38-4 in the opening 15 overs.
Some of England’s batsmen and bowler show great efficiency in the second match. There is no doubt that the failure in the first match surely disappeared England but alternatively they are happy for the second match victory. I thing Sri Lanka will not take this victory as an accident. They will come to the field with a new image for the 3rd ODI.
