Injury to dominate Arsenal play-off match against Celtic of CL 09-10

There are two big challenges for the Gunner side. Fist one is the return leg Champions League match against Celtic FC and the premier league match with man utd. Arsenal’s starting performances is impressive. Gunner’s captain Cesc Fabregas may miss the play-off match in the home ground. But he could return in the league match on 29 August to take on Manchester United.

Nytimes

The 22-year-old Spain midfielder, who excelled in the 2-0 first-leg win at Celtic Park on August 18, suffered a hamstring injury in the Premier League game with Portsmouth on Saturday.

Fabregas could also miss the Premier League clash with champions Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, though Wenger remained optimistic he could play a part.

Injury hits arsenal side more and they have to take on the home match second leg match when more than 6 players will be out for serious injury. Although it hopes that skipper Cesc Fabregas back to the team is just time matter.

Uefa Champions League, Quarter-final first leg

Venue: Old Trafford Date: Tuesday, 7 April Kick-off: 1945 GMT

Coverage: Full commentary on BBC Radio 5 Live with live text commentary on the BBC Sport website. Also live on ITV1

Both the football teams are very honored from their position. Manchester United, the English top football club and the opposite FC Porto is also of Portuguese. In the running season they are drawing the top pointing of the standing board. Most probably, the fans over the world know well only about the English Clubs but not others of Europe except Barcelona and Real Madrid. Manchester United is the champions of the English Premier League as well as FC Porto is also Portuguese champions. The top two will meet in the encounter of Champions League’s quarter-final first leg match.

Who will win? If I arrange a pull then most the vote will come to Manchester United because it is very strong arranged team in all sides. Ronaldo, Rooney Tevez dominating the opposites with an iron hands. The last match along with Aston Villa of English Premier League is one of the big examples and nothing to describe. Manchester United has big achievements in last 15 matches and secured 11 wins although it lost to Liverpool for 1-4 goals.

FC Porto is not a well formatted team for English football. It did not get any wins in last 12 matches and lost 11 and one just drawn. But, it has enough quality to take on Manchester United. The Brazilian striker, Hulk is one of them who is considered as a real competitor of Ronaldo. He came to the attention after a brilliant display in the first leg of the last-16 tie against Atletico Madrid. Aly Cissokho joined to FC Porto in January from Vitoria Setubal and draw attention to all and thinking against Ronaldo. Ferreira has baked and the strong support for striker Hulk.

Man Utd squad: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak, O'Shea, Neville, Vidic, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra, Eckersley, Ronaldo, Nani, Fletcher, Gibson, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Park, Rooney, Tevez, Welbeck, Macheda.

Among the last 6 football matches Manchester united won 4 and lost two. But the Portuguese champion just 3 and but no loss. I mentioned ago that FC Porto did not secured any wins in English league.

UEFA CL Real Madrid vs Liverpool: Previews and Live Score

Real Madrid is one of the popular Spanish football team which is going to take on the English football club Liverpool. The duo has a very good similarity. Real Madrid is leading the second place in the domestic league match on the other hands Liverpool is in the same position too. In 1981, Real Madrid and Liverpool met in the champions’ league cup in Paris and that time Liverpool was the winner.

Uefa Champions League

First knock-out round, first leg

Venue: Santiago Bernabeu

Date: Wednesday, 25 February

Kick-off: 1945 GMT

Liverpool squad: Reina, Arbeloa, Skrtel, Hyypia, Carragher, Aurelio, Dossena, Gerrard, Mascherano, Alonso, Lucas, Babel, Benayoun, Torres, Kuyt, Riera, Ngog, Cavalieri, Darby, Spearing.

In the decelerated squad, I can see some new faces who did not played last few matches.

The skipper trained on Tuesday having missed three weeks with a hamstring injury, while Xabi Alonso returns from a ban but Daniel Agger is out (back). Steven Gerrard who is the skipper of the Liverpool club, will attend during the first match of Champions League on 25 February 2009 at 1945 GMT. Steven Gerrard has scored 11 goals in this season on the side of Livepool. He of out for three weeks from the league match for his injury but Xabi Alonso has back to the squad as well as Daniel Agger is out for the next match along with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid is looking very fresh mood because of their performances in the last few matches and some of the key players will lead the team in Paris. Rafael van der Vaart is one of them though Klaas Jan Huntelaar will not able to add sprit for the Club. Even they are getting good leadership from their manager Ramos.

This is not end for Real Madrid because it did beat to any team in the last 9 matches. So, these sequel victories are also very positive for the performances and determine to beat the opposition.

Despite of some painful moments from some previous matches, Liver pool manager is hopeful to present some especial thing for the fans.

"Steven will be in the squad. He was OK in training," said Benitez, who will be returning to his hometown for the first time as Liverpool manager. "It was a special training session so we were not testing him 100%, but he trained OK so we will see."

Liverpool has played along with 13 matches and secured six victories, four draws and three defeats but the last defeat was very terrible. But Real Madrid did not get any success against any English countries.

Arsene Wenger is confidence to beat Roma CL in knock out

The drawn of the last match along with Roma, Arsenal is thinking widely to take the lead at Emirates. Although they tied the match but the Arsenal manager is pleased with the performances of his gays. He believes that they are strong enough to beat Roma anytime and it will be their promise. This is the second match of the Champions League when Arsenal is going to take on Roma.

Goal.com wore:

"I believe we are strong enough to beat them," the Frenchman told reporters at his Monday press conference. "But the Champions League, you know, at that level it's down to many mistakes, being in good form on the day, being decisive in taking your chances, and that's all the qualities the English teams want to show."

In the ongoing Premier League Arsenal is not doing well at all. It is leading the 5th position of the standing tables and is 5 points behind Aston Villa that is holding the 4th position. Some days ago I read an article where the writer wrote that Arsenal could kick out for the champions’ league for next year. May be, the ongoing EPL is not going well for the Arsenal that is why Arsene Wenger is satisfy to get a tie.
