World Cup Cricket 2007: Bangladesh vs South Africa and Mohammed Ashraful

In the match, World Cup Cricket 2007 Bangladeshi Batsman Mohammed Ashraful showed a very good performance. When he was playing and hitting the South African Bowlers it’s remind the magic of little master Sahcin Tendulker.

BBC reported:

Aftab was in disbelief when, moments after he had hit two monstrous sixes off Justin Kemp, he holed out in the deep off Makhaya Ntini.
But Ashraful continued on his merry way and played his favourite standing sweep over short fine leg, a shot which earned him several crucial boundaries.
There were also some cleanly struck, beautifully timed lofted drives that were so reminiscent of his century against Australia in another memorable win for Bangladesh in Cardiff in 2005.
Mashrafe Mortaza joined Ashraful for the final onslaught, himself smashing 25 off 16 balls as the Tigers accelerated in a frenzied last seven overs.

I think, both South Africa and he cricket fans will remember that performance. His achievement was 87 run from 83 balls. I hoped that he will do better day by day.

World Cup Cricket 2007: what will be in the Bangladesh vs. Sri Lanka?

From the last performances, we can observe that Bangladesh did well and also the last match between Bangladesh vs. India. It is clear that Bangladesh is doing well. Today (Bangladesh Time) Bangladesh will play with Sri Lanka. In this match, all fans are waiting to see the new miracle.

Stuff New Zealand reported:

Sri Lanka crushed Bermuda by 243 runs. India won by a record margin of 257 runs to remain in the race ahead of Friday's must-win game against the islanders.

Sri Lanka feel Bangladesh would have no fear because of the number of young players in their ranks, coached by Dav Whatmore, who also guided them to Cup glory in 1996.

"We should give credit to Bangladesh the way they have played," Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan said.

"We should not be surprised (by their wins) anymore.

"We started in 1982 (by getting our test status) and in 14 years' we won the World Cup," he said on Monday. "They haven't delivered in the past but they could after this World Cup."

The fast-improving Bangladesh, granted test status in 2000, would again pin their hopes on their young guns against a team they beat last February.

World Cup Cricket 2007: The victory of Bangladesh trembling New Zealand

After beating New Zealand, the mentality of Bangladesh Cricketers has become strength which will help them confidently to play in the World Cup Cricket 2007. But the New Zealand Captain becomes anxious for their unacceptable beat.

Cricketworldcuplatest reported:

Shaken and stirred by the shock 2-wicket loss to Bangladesh in their World Cup warm up fixture, New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming on Tuesday thanked his stars that it was not a group game which they lost.

Looking back at the defeat, Fleming said his team did not play that well and the result is bound to give the team a few headaches before they meet Sri Lanka in Friday’s warm-up tie.

New Zealand, riding on a high following their 3-0 whitewash of Australia last month was expected to seal a victory against Bangladesh but things reversed on the Kiwis on Tuesday.

World Cup Cricket 2007: Bangladesh could show miracle

In the try Nation Series Bangladesh did well. So the entire Bangladesh supporter is dreaming that Bangladesh will play a good cricket in the World Cup Cricket 2007.

Businessday reported:

However, success in one-day cricket has been rare for Bangladesh, although they are beginning to mature into a reasonable squad.

Cricinfo reports that Bangladesh believe they have a realistic chance to progress beyond the first round in this World Cup.

Bashar is on record as saying that his side’s goal was to upset some of the stronger sides in their group and reach the Super Eight stages.

“Our target is the second round,” Bashar told a news conference as his side prepared to leave for the Caribbean.

“Beating Sri Lanka and India will be a tough assignment, but not impossible.”

Bangladesh will no doubt draw some confidence from wins over Sri Lanka, India and Australia since the last World Cup. In their first World Cup appearance, in 1999, Bangladesh beat Scotland and Pakistan, but failed to win a game after that.

“We went twice to the World Cup without any expectations,” Bashar said. “Now, we have beaten big teams. We are a much better and more mature side.”

Not only Basher but also all the fans also cricket consultant will observe the victory with large view.

World Cup Cricket 2007: A very good introducing for Bangladesh

In the first worm up match before World Cup Cricket 2007 Bangladesh showed its good performance. This victory will grow the confidence of Bangladesh in the next matches.

tv3 reported:

The Black Caps' first World Cup warm-up in the West Indies is turning into a thriller.

Chasing a moderate 224, Bangladesh are 186 for 7 after 44 overs.

They have got another 40 runs to get in the last six overs.

Jacob Oram was the best of the muddling New Zealand batting effort - with a patient 88 in his comeback from a broken finger.

His partnership with Brendon McCullum, who made 46 until a run-out, was the highlight.

So we have to wait fro some days to see the magic of Bangladesh
