World Cup Cricket 2007: Bangladesh has more confidence

After Tri-nation series Bangladesh is in confidence now. They hope they will able to show a good performance in World Cup Cricket 2007.

skysports reported:

After impressing with the bat, Bangladesh's Hasan proved he is capable as an all-rounder. He took the wickets of Billcliff and Canada's captain John Davison to finish with figures of two for 36 from 10 overs.

Early on, it looked like Canada might repeat their surprise 2003 World Cup victory over Bangladesh when they reduced the favourites to 30 for three.

The pick of their bowlers was veteran Anderson Cummins who finished with figures of three for 60 from 10 overs. Cummins proved that he has a lot to offer in the World Cup this month.

Bangladesh will be pleased with the way that their middle-order recovered from a disappointing start, Habibul Bashar and Mohammad Ashraful both made quick-fire half centuries.

The tournament win should give Bangladesh confidence. They face India, Sri Lanka and the side who finished bottom of this tournament, Bangladesh in the World Cup group stage.

As its lat wining rate is very good. So they could do well.

World Cup Cricket 2007 : Bangladesh will be the Champion!

This sentence will astonish all the readers. But I will not surprise. If we observe the last match record, the statistic tells the, the win rate of Bangladesh is 64.24. The rate is satisfactory because the won rate of Australia is 71.42.

DNA reported:

Bangladesh are in Group B, featuring former champions India and Sri Lanka, plus Bermuda. At the last World Cup in South Africa, Bangladesh lost five of their six games including one against Canada while they were also at the receiving end of a hat-trick by Chaminda Vaas in the first three balls of the match against Sri Lanka.

“That’s part of history. Now we target to reach the second round,” Bashar adds.

"Two wins can take us to the Super Eight... It won’t be easy. But being underdogs we will have some advantages. The pressure will always remain on them.” Coach Dav Whatmore derives hope from Kenya, who moved into the semifinals in 2003.
“Kenyan success four years ago will always be an inspiration for the underdogs,” says Whatmore, who won the World Cup with Sri Lanka in 1996.

In the Bangladeshi Bad there a lot of beating record form Australia to Bermuda. So we have to wait.

World Cup Crickte 2007: Will Shahriar Nafees be a star and will win the World cup?

Shahriar Nafees is the opener of Bangladesh Cricket Team. In the last three-nation series at the Antigua Recreation Ground has showed a good performance.

SUN Printing & Publishing reported about the performance of Bangladesh team in the last three-nation series at the Antigua.

Bermuda’s preparations for this Tri-Series tournament suffered a setback last week when they slipped to defeat against lowly Antigua & Barbuda in a warm-up game, but this time they did at least make a fist of their batting performance, winning the toss and posting a total of 205 for eight, thanks to solid contributions all down the order but particularly from the tail, as they recovered from a shaky 83 for five.

Lionel Cann top-scored with 33 from number seven, while three other batsmen also exceeded 30, among them Saleem Mukuddem, whose 32 came to an end when he was run-out by a combination of Mohammad Rafique and the wicketkeeper, Mushfiqur Rahim.

Bangladesh’s bowlers were not significantly stretched although Tapash Baisya came in for a bit of tap with the new ball, conceding his runs at 5.3 an over.

The pick of the bowlers, as so often, was Rafique, whose 10 overs went for 38 runs, and resulted in the wickets of David Hemp and the Captain, Irvine Romaine, for a duck.

So we can hope that Bangladesh is going to do well in the next world cup.

Bonus for Bangladeshi Cricket Team in World Cup Cricket Team

In the Cricket World Cup 2007, Bangladesh team has to play with three teams India, Sri Lanka and Bermuda. BCB declares that every player would have pay bonuses.

Cricket info reported:

“For each group match Bangladesh wins the players will receive US$2000 on top of their usual win bonus. If the team reaches the Super Eights there will another US$3000 for each match won in that section of the tournament.

Bangladesh are one of the first teams to arrive in the Caribbean ahead of the World Cup, which starts on March 13, as their preparations include an ICC Tri-series with Bermuda and Canada in Antigua.”

This declaration will increase their attention. We can easily remember that in 1999 Bangladesh beat Pakistan and India also was beat by Bangladesh in ODI Cricket match.
