Ganguly may not play for KKR

Sourav Gaguly, one of the most successful captains of Indian cricket, may not play for Kolkata Night Riders in the forth coming Indian Premier League. Sourav says his first choice is, of course KKR. If situation changes he is open to play for any team as he still wants to play IPL.

The current rumor is that KKR will not retain Gunguly this session. Sourav rejects and says to a media that Shah Rukh Khan is abroad and no decision has been taken.

As Ganguly is willing to play IPL he hopes to be picked up by some other team from the player auction in January if KKR do not retain him. He is currently playing Ranji Trophy cricket with Bengal. He hopes to regain necessary vigor and strength from this tournament for IPL. Sourav Gunguly has stopped playing international cricket in 2008.

Sourav Ganguly to be captain of KKR IPL-3 Coach John Wright

Former Indian national cricket team Coach John Wright has been selected the coach of Kolkata Knight riders. Beside, Sourav Ganguly has been selected the captain of the Indian Premier League’s cricket club KKR. Ganguly was opted out to lead the team in the second season of Indian Premier League in South Africa for the question of multi captain option proposed by the former coach John Buchanan. KKR washed out for the premier league in the qualified round and the responsible captain was Brendon McCullum.

Times of India wrote:

Ganguly would be back at the helm in 2010 when his contract with the Kolkata team ends and the iconic Bengal cricketer had a one-on-one with prinicipal owner Shah Rukh Khan when the duo met in London to receive doctorates by the University of Central Lancashire last week.

The new will brought a great satisfaction on the fan of KKR especially the fans of Sourav Ganguly. KKR is the team that won by bollywood superstar and most poplar actor Shahrukh Khan who recently has acquired the D-lit degree. Sourav is honored as a most successful captain of Indian ever who has said bye-bye to the international cricket at the end of the year 2008. But now he has given attention to the home cricket.

IPL 2009: Will Sourav Ganguly be the Captain of Kolkata Knight Riders?

Sourav Ganguly is one of the successful captains of India who leaded Kolkata Knight Riders in the first season in 2008. In the second season he is doubtful to lead the team in the IPL 2009, second season to lead the team that will be taken place in South Africa. After the opinions of the team coach John Buchanan who offers four captains of the team for IPL 2009 who will lead the team.

Hindustantimes wrote:

The KKR management in a statement said that “the idea is to have a set of strategists as is always the case classically in cricket… who will form a team of 4 or 5 core experts in the field of fielding, bowling, batting and data etc. These strategists will assist the one captain on field with their viewpoints on the plan set earlier or shoot from the hip as the case maybe.”

This is a new theory ever. I am not sure that how will he implement it in a match. Although there is no positive signal on behalf of the multi-captain theory but it is really an innovative idea. We have to wait what the decision comes at last. The team management announced that they will public the squad in South Africa and who will be in that squad will be clear after a few days. On April 5, Ganguly is expected to reach South Africa for the IPL 2009 who does not agree with Buchanan multi-captain theory.

Sourav, Rahul, Laxman, Sachin and Anil should go to retirement

Once up on a time, in Indian cricket there was a golden time that has been passed when Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tecdulkar dominated the oppositions during the firs 15 overs. India was the top most team that will more runs during the restricted fielding time. By the time being it Sourv and Sachin is in aged and the in the last 10 matches they did not do well in ODI a Test.

Recently, there was news in Indian media that Sourav Ganguly has planned to take retirement for the international cricket when he has been kept his name from the next Home Test series alongside Australia. After getting some change in the selection board of Indian Cricket board, some of older players get opportunities to play the home Test series including Sourav. Beside, they all have got notice to go to retirement form the International cricket.

Cricket-mad India is fiercely debating whether it is time for their record-breaking batsmen Saurav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and Vangipurappu Laxman as well as spinner Anil Kumble, the test captain, all well into their 30s, to quit.

I think, India needs to take some change for future and should get opportunity for the young players.

India vs Australia Twenty20 match and Sourav Ganguly

Some of top cricket stars were kept off form the twenty20 world championship. Among them Sourav Ganguly was the list. Without this pinnacle starts India has won the twenty20 championship trophy. According to this accomplishment of victory this top listed stars become ineffective. As a visible example we could demonstrate the odi series along with Australia. In the seven match series these star players did not show any notable performances that could continue themselves on the upcoming Twenty20 match with Australia. None but Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar could do well in the series. Depending on the performances Sourav Ganguly is hopping to available on that match.

Sourav Ganguly's explosive batting style - which he rediscovered in the Nagpur ODI against Australia - would have made him a successful batsman in Twenty20 cricket, but the former Indian captain says he doesn't miss the newest and fastest version of the game. "I don't think I miss Twenty20 cricket. I don't know what it would have been if this kind of cricket was introduced during my younger days. But now I don't think I would have really missed it," Ganguly told IANS in an interview.

There is no doubt that Sourav Ganguly has an ability to do well in any moments. After a long time gap form Indian team, Indian team had to face many problems.

After spending a lot of time, I have collect this information the flowing TV channel will telecast live the India and Australia ODI Series. In the previous post I mention that if anyone knows about which channel will telecast live, except Sky Sports. One of my junior informed me that DD, NEO Sports, Fox Sports will telecast will telecast too. May be DD National will telecast the matches so that the locals could watch the matches.

After after India’s dramatic victory in the ICC Twenty-20 finals, It’s advantage Neo Sports. The exclusive cricket channel, owned by Nimbus Sport, has already booked Rs 75 crore worth of advertising accounting for 65% of its inventory for the upcoming India-Australia series, starting September 29. Tying up sponsorship deals for the rest could now be a breeze.

“After the disappointment of the World Cup, this will definitely bring back the buoyancy of the game. But, its a long season ahead, and its a larger version with 50 overs. So, it is critical for India to sustain its performance. If the initial matches don’t go in India’s favour, rates will automatically slide down,” said Shashi Sinha, president, Lodestar and regional media director, FCB Asia Pacific.

Now it is clear to all the cricket fans that they will able to see all the matches of home series of India and Australia easily.
