IPL 2009: Bangalore Royal Challengers v Rajasthan Royals 2nd match Newlands, Cape Town

In the inaugural day IPL cricket tournament 2009, two matches will be kicked off at the same play ground after the opening ceremony. The second crickets match between the champions of IPL 2008 Rajasthan Royals and Bangalore Royal Challengers at Newlands in Cape Town. This is the big challenge for 2008 Rajasthan Royals; it is a big challenge because they are the title hold of the tournament.

Bangalore Royal Challengers could play any good cricket matches in the last season and just got 4 wins out of 14 matches. That is why it was in the 7th position of the standings tables. They got two wins over Deccan Chargers one was Mumbai Indians and other was Chennai Super Kings. Despite of some top ranked players and under R Dravid’s captaincy, Bangalore Royal Challengers had to face huge difficulties. And, may be this is the main cause BRC will change their leadership that will be handed over the England’s former captain Kevin Pietersen.

Rajasthan Royals is only team that was leader by the foreign Captaincy-Coaching. Shane Warne is really talent; he proved it in the first season of DLF IPL cricket tournament. To tell truth, Warne is appropriate to get honor as best captaincy in IPL Cricket League. By picking up 16 wickets from 15 matches SK Warne stood second best wicket takers of the inaugural Indian Premier League. This year, he was away from cricket for his fitness but now he has gained satisfactory and will take the lead of the team.

In the home match, Bangalore Royal Challengers beat to Rajasthan Royals for 7 wickets at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore and in away in match Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur beat for 65 runs. In the home twenty20 tournament only LRPL Taylor and Parveen Kumar did well but others could not reach to any honorable score. Similar drama replied in the away T20 cricket matches. Only Captain Rahul Dravid scored 75 runs for 36 balls and was not out. That proved that the franchise spent huge money to buy the club but not for developing the cricket teams. But this year, they brought some changes intellectually so it could perform better this year.

Rajasthan Royals acted upon BRC in both matches home and away. Shane Warne, captain RR bowled best of his careen in IPL T20 and picked 3 wickets for 19 runs. And the opposite captain Rahul Dravid played similar roll and scored 75 runs in the same match. Just losing one wicket of SA Asnodkar, RR scored 197runs. GC Smith and SR Watson were not-out as well as 75 and 46 but SA Asnodkar scored 50 runs from 44 balls.

Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers Shane Warne and Munaf Patel picket up 4 wickets each from the two matches and Sohail Tanvir took 3 and SR Watson picked 2 wickets. But, the Bangalore Royal Challengers bowlers showed very weak performances in both matches and no bowler could take more that one wicket (who took wicket) from the tow matches. Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers drew their manes of three in the top five lists as a highest wicket taker.

This year, the DLF IPL T20 is going to hold in South Africa. Although it is very good place but totally unknown for most of the young Indian players except International players but they all have aim to play a positive crickets.

Kevin Pietersen may lead Bangalore Royal Challengers in IPL

Former England Captain Kevin Pietersen has been brought by the franchises of Bangalore Royal Challengers for 1.55 million. This is the highest deal of the BCCI organized Indian Premier League. Indian skipper MS Dhoni was this title owner for last year. For the second season of the IPL T20 the action was held in Goa on last Friday.

"This scenario is a very strong possibility but a final decision is yet to be taken," the source said. "Shane Warne was denied the captaincy in Australia, and look what he did in the IPL last year (Warne's Rajasthan Royals won the tournament). We expect KP will have a point to prove too with regards to captaincy, and that will only benefit the team."

From this paragraph, I think you could not understand anything. It hopes that England former captain Kevin Pietersen could lead the Bangalore Royal Challengers team in the upcoming Indian Premier League that will be held in April this year.

"We bought Kevin to improve our whole profile, which goes beyond cricket. Kevin has great, eye-catching cricketing skills. He is also a very marketable guy. He is a product who can go across India and he might be an ideal captain over four weeks or so."

This is a real though that the team need to improve its players profile. The performances during the tour of West Indies and his strong leading capacity has bought out the opportunity to lead the team. Last year the team was marched by Indian former Captain Rahul Dravid. May be, the team Bangalore Royal Challengers will be leaded by Kevin Pietersen earlier two weeks. Later, the responsible will be handed over to Rahul Dravid or Mark Boucher.
