India vs Bangladesh : Shastri and Indian Cricket

In ICC World Cup Cricket 2007, Bangladesh Beat India in the first round. For this India’s dream of world cup was broken. After world cup 2007, India is going to meet again for 10th May 2007 at Dhaka. Indian cricket team manager, Ravi Shastri, promised to see India returning at Dhaka.

The Hindu reported:

Shastri, who took charge of the Indian team only for the ensuing series, said the tour would be a challenge. "It will be a challenging tour especially after the World Cup debacle. We will put out our best foot forward,'' he told newsmen before the camp wound up on Sunday morning.

Referring to the past performance, Shastri said, "what I did not like in the last six months was that the cricketers were going through the motions like they were doing a sort of a 9 to 5 job. If you don't enjoy playing, then forget about winning,'' he said.

Dravid will captain the side. There is no question about that. We know who will lead in case of any eventuality,'' he informed.

The fielding coach, Robin Singh, also drew praise from Shastri. "Robin is tough task master. He will make you put in the best,'' he said.

India is not thinking that it will be easy to beat Bangladesh. It is clear to their conversion.

India tour of Bangladesh After World Cup Cricket 2007

After Cricket World Cup 2007, 4 One Day Match and 2 Test will be played in Dhaka and Chittagonj. I should be the first math after World Cup Cricket both India and Bangladesh.

Cricinfo Reported:

Should India qualify for the World Cup final on April 28, they have a breather for just eight days before the scheduled departure for Dhaka on May 7. The one-day series commences on May 10 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka, followed by the second match, at the same venue on May 12. Chittagong will host the third one-dayer three days later.

India will stay back in Chittaong for the first Test from May 18 and will head back to Dhaka for the final Test, starting May 25. India last toured Bangladesh in 2004, winning the Test series 2-0 and the one-dayers 2-1. The reciprocal tour, however, is yet to happen.
