Indian squad for ICC champions Trophy and Sachin Tendulkar’s 17000 runs milestone

India has announced a 15 man squad for the ICC champions Trophy where Virender Sehwag is not named. Although it was know to all that he is suffering from shoulder injury problem from Twenty20 world cup, he could be if he comes round his problem. In the recent tour of Sri Lanka when Sachin Tendulkar scored a 70 runs average. After a six month breaks he has returned his form at the age of 36 when India is fighting for the top ranked ODI team as a third nation.

The 36 years old Sachin Tendulkar is just 106 runs from 17000 milestones. As he has been drawn his name in the 15 man squad for South Africa showing a team best performance in the recent triangular Compaq cup 2009 tournament. He as added 200 more runs from the tour adding a hundred in his career.

I explained in the previous article that the changing batting order brought a big success during the tour of Sri Lanka when Rahul Dravid was promoted as an opening batsman along the Sachin Tendulkar. And, I also mentioned that they both will be turning point of India of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2009. anyway I am not taking credit for it just it seems to me and explained even a kids could understand it easily.

I am a big fan of Sachin Tendulka and will want to see him in Indian squad. At the same time I hope that he will be the highest total runs holds of the world of 20,000 runs in One-day formatted cricket. Well all know the Cricket is a game where fitness is the most important issue for the players.

It is sure that Virender Sehwag returns would boot Indian team most instead he will lead Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy finals. Gautam Gambhir who came back home keeping unfinished the last tour, will came back to the squad in ICC Champions Trophy.

Muttiah Muralitharan is the most wicket taker in the world

During the 4^th ODI against India, Sri Lankan top spinner M. Muralitharan has achieved the title of top wicket taker of ODI in the world. By dismiss Indian opener G. Gambhir. R Premadasa Stadium in now a history in for world cricket that watch the most wicket records. Previously, Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Wasim Akram was this record holder of 502 wickets.

On 05 February 2009, the 4^th ODI was held at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. To touch the most wicket taker title Muttiah Muralitharan had to play 328 matches. On the other hand Wasim Akram achieved 502 wickets from 356 matches. To pull off the 503 wickets, he took 4 wickets 14 times and 5 wickets 10 times and his best bowling was 7/30.

Indian opener G. Gambhir was that lucky wicket for Muttiah Muralitharan to over take the Wasim Akram.

After winning toss India elected to bat first. India lost an early wicket of V Sehwag. Captain MS Dhoni and G. Gambhir’s partnership helps India to build a strong sore. MS Dhoni scored 94 from 140 balls. And G Gambhir sored 150 runs from 147 and felt in to the trap of Muttiah Muralitharan’s spin.

Gautam Gambhir: IPLT20 most runs record holder

Gautam Gambhir is the most runs record holder in the IPLT20. He is the only player who is batting confidently in the Indian Premier League. If you find his name in the list of the individual high scores of the Indian Premier League twentyT20, it will be more than four times. He is the most four hitter in the IPLT20 for 39 fours among in seven matches. He has acquired 305 runs. Although he has no century in the seven matches but has four half-centuries.

The first match Delhi Daredevils was alongside Rajasthan Royals. Gautam Gambhir acquired 58runs form 46 balls. That was the 3^rd match of IPLT20 and first half century of him and he was unbeaten.

In the 7th match of IPLT20 she and the second match of Delhi Daredevils Gautam Gambhir scored just 12 runs from 9 balls that was a poor runs for him but the team won by 9 wickets.

The third match was not only bad luck for Gautam Gambhir but also for the team. The team just cashed 158 runs. In this math Delhi Daredevils was beat to Kings XI Punjab by four wickets.

G Gambhir’s 86 runs from 54 balls kept the team in a strong position. To acquire this runs he driven away 11 fours and just a single six. He attained the score alongside Bangalore Royal Challengers and it is the highest score of Gautam Gambhir. Although Delhi Daredevils won but there was a thought competition.

To acquire 50 runs he had to hit five fours and a single six from 36 balls against Chennai Super Kings in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai. It was the home ground of Chennai Super Kings. Delhi Daredevils got an easy victory just losing 2 wickets. His partner V Sehwag added 71 runs too.

Mumbai Indians v Delhi Daredevils at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai, on 4 May the result Mumbai Indians won by 29 runs. That day Gambhir just score a single runs. It was the 23th match of IPLT20.

The math between Delhi Daredevils has already has finished and the result has come that Chennai Super Kings has taken the revenge. In the first match alongside Chennai, Delhi beat the by 8 wickets. After passing a heart biting performances Gambhir’s team bow it’s head to Chennai at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi the home ground of Delhi Daredevils. Chennai Super Kings won by 4 wickets. Gautam Gambhir acquires 80 runs from 49 balls. It is the second individual highest score.

So it is showing that Gautam Gambhir is doing well from the beginning except two matches.
