Ajmal, who is playing domestic cricket since 1996-97, has taken 232 wickets in 72 first class matches with an average of 27 runs per wicket. Defending Ajmal’s selection, Salahuddin said Ajmal had performed well in the domestic circuit and one should not be concerned about his age. “There are many examples of aged spinners who played for their countries. Spinners have no age limit,” he maintained.
The selector committee is thinking the new spinner Saeed Ajmal will able to show a good performance during the match along with India. The cause of their selection is a good capacity and effective routine works in the domestic series bound the selectors to include him in the announced team.
