What got you into FMI?

My family got me into modelling when I was only 14, the rest just followed. FMI was always on my radar.

What is the toughest part of the preparation for FMI?

The toughest judges. Also the talent round in Mumbai where I’d be pitched against some of the best talents in the country.

Hobbies?

Working out and bowling with friends. I have an adopted daughter Angela, 9, who takes up a lot of my time. I have been looking after her since I was 14, but I only legally adopted her last year. My daughter has made me more responsible and far more matured for my age.

Does that make Sushmita Sen your role model?

No. I think I should be a role model for Sushmita because she adopted the baby after she got the crown. She lives with her mother while my mother lives in India which means I take care of both my daughter and my dad here in Dubai. That is not to say what she has done is not great. My dad is my role model for what he has done and still does for me.

What will you do if you win?

The first thing I’d like to do is adopt another baby. Then perhaps focus on Bollywood.

What are your long-term goals? Is Bollywood on your radar?

I want to get into Bollwyood anyway. I am clear about that. I have friends in Bollywood who have been urging me to give it a go. So, whether FMI title happens to me or not, my focus will be Bollywood.

If the judges asked you about the one thing you wished you could change in the world and why...

I will end scourges like wars and terrorism. Life is too short to waste on violence. Let’s make the most of our lives by spreading peace and happiness around us.
