Aziz Mirza’s new film, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor and John Abraham and more

Although Aziz Mirza is know as a top class director and low budgeted film maker in bollywood but he did not make more film for the top second film industry. His last block-buster hit film Chalte Chalte was a very small budgeted film where Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee was in leading actors. His first bollywood film was Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Shakti Kapoor) that cracked to the heart of the cinema viewers. May be he is going to give a new film for the hindi film industry. The unnamed new film is going to produced by Subhash Singh along with Prerna Virendra.

For this film, two male actors have been finalized but the sign up will be finalized soon. It is heard that the new comer Ranbir Kapoor and other well know face John Abraham has been declared the named from the producers. And they are finding other male actor who will act along-side her who is considered as a wild cat in bollywood Katrina Kaif and has presented a bunch of block-buster films in the last couple years.

The theme of the film will be; the thrice who will love Katrina Kaif as a mad. Anyway, it is now question who will be the 3rd person? Here, I want to add something about Garam Masala where John Abraham acted really fantastic on the other hand the romantic man Ranbir Kapoor is not less than others although he just has acted one film in blooywood.

FIFA Word Cup 2014 will be held in 12 cities of Brazil

FIFA Word Cup 2014 host country Brazil already has declared the name of five cities out of twelve. The cities are Brasilia, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre. Others seven venues will be selected after visiting the FIFA officials will travel on January.

Brazil is the country of a group of football stars and more that five times prestigious FIFA World Cup winner (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002). Only Brazil is the only teams in the world who won FIFA World Cup three times in a row.

May be, Brazil has followed the system of German 2006 and the upcoming Football World Cup 2010 in South Africa. That time host German arranged tournaments in different 12 cities and the forthcoming host South Africa will supposed to be organized the tournaments in 10 cities.

According to my view, this is a respected decision and the people of different cities could enjoy the matches. One more important concept is; Brazil is really a great tourism country in the world. This plan will be opened the door to visit the largest and beautiful forest country.

New Zealand vs West Indies T20: who will win?

The last three matches between New Zealand and West Indies did not show any conclusions. There were one T20 and two tests. It is really interesting when any match dismissed without result. For Test match is it a common sight but for One Day International Cricket and the new formatted games T20 it dispersed the cricket fans.

It happened in the recent T20 match between New Zealand vs West Indies that was played at Eden Park, Auckland, on 26 December 2008. After drawn in the two tests, the eyes were fixed to the T20 match to get a result but the audiences were hopeless at the end of the first T20 match. May be it is the second incident after the inaugural World Cup T20 that was inaugurated in South Africa. The final match between India and Pakistan become drawn but dismissed by bowl-out of the T20 World Cup 2007.

Almost all the batsmen of the host New Zealand did not play well but LRPL Taylor and SB Styris scored an honorable score in the first T20 at Eden Park, Auckland. Taylor scored 63 by dominating 50 balls and by spending 70 minutes in crease. On the other hands Styris is the second highest scorer by securing 21 runs from 12 balls. The host scored 155 runs by losing 7wickets.

Although the bowers of the opposition West Indies did not do well except CH Gayle who took 2 wickets by bowing 3 overs but the all the bowers kept stop the opposite batsmen to add a big runs on the scoreboard.

This is not end here. Form New Zealand side similar scene replayed. The skeeper and all-rounder DL Vettori took 3 wickets and JS Patel took 2 wickets.

By loosing 8 wickets the Caribbean had to stop the innings in 155 and remain satisfy becoming drawn.

It is a terrible series for both the teams for achieving nothing. So, the duo will try hart and soul to win the 2nd T20 matches that is going to held at Seddon Park, Hamilton.

Hyundai i20: Another revolution in Car Industries

After shifting the small can plant to India from Korea, Hyundai is launching small reliable cars for the A, B and B+ segments customers all over the world. In the last moto

r show ‘Paris Motor Show 2008’ it lunched a mini car named Hyundai i20 for the B or B+ segment customers. During that time they offered that the Hyundai i20 will come to local market at the end of 2008 or at the beginning of 2009.. Although, Hyundai i20 is being manufactured in India but for the Indian customers it will not be offer at this time. It is only for European customers now.

Magindia wrote:

“Segmentation of the auto industry is primarily customer driven. It evolves as manufacturers model their products and brand positions according to customer profiles. In the last few years, segmentation based on platforms, features and styling have emerged in India as customer preferences and vehicle applications keep pace with the rest of the world,” said Mr Vinay Piparsania, vice-president, external affairs and director, sales operations, Ford India.

Hyundai lunched a mini car for the Indian customers last year name Hyundai i10 and it attended the customers more. Besides it, it offered Hyundai Getz too. But, the i20 would come at India on 2009 but not this time. The market price will be 5-6 lakh in India currency and in European countries it will be £8,645.

Main Features of i20 include:

  • Climate control
  • CD and MP3 audio system with 4 speakers
  • Multi-function steering wheel
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system
  • Height-adjustable driver seat
  • Keyless entry
  • Electrically operated windows and side mirrors
  • ABS with EBD
  • Airbags

Hyundai i20, according to the European test, the five doors cars is expected to arrive at the beginning of 2009. I will save fuel for the drivers and can run long way in a small amount of fuel. With a 1.4-litre diesel, that produces 89bhp and 162lb ft, and a six-speed ‘box over the standard five-speed unit, the i20 i-Blue will do 68mpg and only emit 99g/km. Impressive numbers. i20 is specious that i20 so it is easy to handle.

Australia vs South Africa 2nd test 2008: Perth victory is inspiring Melbourne

South Africa secured a stunning victory in Perth test against the top-ranked Australia. By jumping up 414 runs South Africa awarded the first victory. May be it is the first time that SAF got test wins against Australia. The host is trying to find out their faults and the guest is thinking to take the control of the series victory.

Reported ICC-cricket

“We put our peg in the ground at Perth and we have made them respect us a huge amount as we do respect them. But from a psychological aspect we know we have got a lot more petrol in our tank. It took something special to win the Test match and I expect much the same again with a pretty even contest.”

South African captain Graeme Smith who secured a century in the second innings, 48 in the first innings is optimistic for success in the Melbourne test. He and his teammate has proved that game is always uncertain and nothing impossible to overcome.

India vs England 2nd test 2008: watch live Rahul Dravid’s steady batting

Rahul Dravid is looking like an impregnable wall in the PCA Stadium. In an article I wrote that Red signal for Rahul Dravid: will he step down from Cricket? In the first day, during the second test he has proved that he has still in form and can protect any miserable moment. Although, there was no more unexpected incident in the first day of the 2nd test that is taking place in at Mohali, Panjab. Now, it is a question to all that if Rahul Dravid proposes to the BCCI stepping down from the international cricket what they will decide?

After the first test, bad performances of him, in all media it published that what is coming in Dravid fate? Most of the news media published that he would have been changed batting order and could come to number five. But, breaking all rumors he comes to creases just after the earlier wicket of Virendar Sehwag.

I have quote these lines from Sky Sports

"It is a cycle. Sometimes you are at your peak and at other times you are down. It happens to all players at some point. Even I have had my ups and downs."

35 years old Rahul Dravid already has informed to the chairman of selectors about his poor runs for the last 11 tests. So, it has already has created a question about his good runs. Anyway, we all have to wait what the decision comes after the test.

Arsenal vs Liverpool 08-09: will Arsenal overcome their lacking

The match between Arsenal vs Liverpool will be huge competition because Arsenal will try to get back in the line up victory. Last week Arsenal secured a prestigious victory alongside Manchester United. The top ranked club Arsenal is passing very bad time and being pendulant to kick out for the premier league this season 08-09. Despite of being hopeless they are inspiring from the last victory against the top 3rd second holder Manchester United, second highest point holder Chelsea and dreaming to take lead in the upcoming match against the top ranked Liverpool in the ongoing season of English Premier League. Beside this, I think they are remembering the miserable moment of very bad surrendered to the Fulham and Hull City.

The time is coming for Arsenal is very challenge to survive in this season. At this moment it is difficult to say that what how the result would come and who will be the title holder for this season. Arsenal is leading the 5th position of the standings board by acquiring 30 points that is 7 points less that the top rank holders Liverpool. I think the management should find out the lacking of the team. May be, Arsenal will engaged some new players earlier of January in the season 09.

India vs England 2nd test 2008: live score, timing and analysis

India is getting inspiration from every area. As example I am using some points; awesome five victories in a row in the ODI, the first Test victory and the positive cricket during the Australia tour of India and finally the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium favorable pitch always support of Indian. I keen to describe all the points in detailed. Before those, I want inform you about he timing of the 2nd test match location, play ground and live telecast medias.

Match Timing: 09:30 Local time (IST) and GMT 04:00; on Friday, December 19, 2008.

Match Location: Mohali, Panjab

Play Ground: Punjab Cricket Association Stadium

Live Telecast Medias: NEO Cricket for Indian fans and Sky Sport for England fans.

Indians are inspiring after taking a hand in the first test victory. Winning toss, batting fist, scouring 316 runs, by bowling England stopped Indian batsmen in 241runs even batting in the second innings was amazing. Although, 316 in the first inning is of not good achievement but it become wealth when Indian batsmen failed to dominate England’s bowlers and lost 6 wicket just spending half of day playing 45 overs. India sacked their first innings just playing 24 more overs. Earlier downfall of the wickets of Indian squads, English men were dreaming to take the lead by winning the first test and batted well in the second innings and took a huge runs lead and threw a challenge to the Indian squads.

The Indians accepted the challenge with am iron hands and tried to over the failure of the first innings. Indian positive and passionate batting demolished all the challenges and acquired the victory by over taking 387 runs. Really, this was a big challenge for Indians. May be it is the most runs for Indians have secured victory also a history in test cricket.

Many positive sides for Indians and Sachin Tendulkar’s coming back in run. In the second inning of the first test Indian may forgot to loose the wickets which are their universal character for Indian batsmen. Here I want to inform the readers about a test match against Pakistan (most probably 1999-2000). India needed just 16 runs but and 6 wickets in hand. After securing century Sachin Tendulkar was trying to play his style (mastering shoot that he used to do after sacking his personal career) and gone to pavilion. Last 5 wickets did not gather even four runs including Nayan Mungia. But in this match it looked completely different even Sachin Tendulkar’s batting seemed that he just has started his career. It was really amazing.

India : (probable) 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 VVS Laxman, 6 Yuvraj Singh, 7 Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt/wk), 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Zaheer Khan, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Amit Mishra.

England: (possible) 1 Andrew Strauss, 2 Alastair Cook, 3 Owais Shah, 4 Kevin Pietersen (capt), Paul Collingwood, 6 Andrew Flintoff, 7 Matt Prior (wk), 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 Steve Harmison, 11 Monty Panesar

May be there will not be any changed in Indian squad just will change in batting order because Rahul Dravid is out of performances. May he could bat as number 7 batsman. In England squad there could be a single change. Owais Shah may include in squad.

BBC Wrote:

Owais Shah is a very skilled player of spin and would be the obvious change but his last innings came more than three weeks ago in the Cuttack one-day international.

There is also an argument for promoting Matt Prior to number six. He batted very capably in both innings in Chennai while Andrew Flintoff is not a good starter against spin bowling.

I am confused about the reports; in some news it is telling that Mohali picth is very favorable for the pacers like Shoaib Akhter but both the squads are thinking about the spin blowers. Every during the Australia tour of India Indian off time spinner Amit Mishra showed a great performances.

Live Telecast media: By the time being and the shortage of leisure time the people are going forget to watch the cricket match by sitting in Stadium. It is also impossible watching cricket match by journeying a long distance. That is why they enjoy cricket by watching live telecast on satellite TV or local tv. The people who are living in Asia and have an access to watch NEO Cricket and the People who are in European counties can watch the match live in Sky Sports.

The digital personalities could able to watch the match live score by accessing websites that are giving ball by ball text commentary, video steaming etc. Cricinfo is one of the most information full website that will provide you according to you expectation.

Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali the 2nd test venue of India vs England

Mohali was selected the 2nd test venue of India vs England. But, the ECB was confused about the security being the border province of Pakistan after the following terrorist attack in Mumbai. Visiting Mohali area and getting green signal for the ECB, England cricketer agreed to play the second test in Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali. This is the home ground of Punjab cricket team, Kings XI Punjab, India

The second test venue is very positive for the pacer in one of the largest and well out-fitted cricket ground. With the inauguration test match between India v West Indies - Dec 10-14 in 1994 the stadium was entered in the cricket history. Just one year later, it considered as the test cricket ground but the odi was inaugurated with the match between India v South Africa - Nov 22 in 1993.

The test wining records of Indian team is satisfactory against England. India played two test matches before this and secured hundred percent victories. This it he 3rd test against England in the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali. The ground statistics is four matches drawn three victories to India and one to West Indies among the eight matches.

Most anticipated 2nd test between India vs England will be grounded at 09:30 local time on Fri 19 December 2008 and will be continued till Tue 23 and the according to GMT the test will be started at European will 04:00.

Red signal for Rahul Dravid: will he step down from Cricket?

India has own the first test that was held in Chennai. That is very positive sign for the Indian players in test cricket against England. In the odi series India secured victory 5-0. Bowlers and batsmen moved jointly to acquire the white-wash victory. But, in the in first test, it was totally different. Most of the batsmen crumbled doing nothing.

The most dependent batsman Rahul Dravid is in the top position in this line-up. Although he was he was ahead just adding 7 runs in the two innings in the first test in Chennai. This promotion has been sent him back in the batting order. He was the batman who used to come to bat in second down but in the second the he will bat in the 7th position.

What do you think about this change in the playing XI? I think this is red signal for him to step down from the international cricket. By analyzing his previous 11 tests, it will not satisfy any of the fans who loves cricket more. May be his average is just 22-plus. After Sourav Ganguly, this is the time of Rahul Dravid retires from the international cricket.

India vs England 1st ODI: Who will win at last?

The 5th day of the first test between India and England is going to ground after within a few hours. Now, it is the burning question to all fans of both teams who re living both the countries India an England even all over the world.

Batting: The batting started really well. The openers dominated Indian bowlers highly. The openers stable and balanced batting worried Indian blowers and added a milestone of century and a half century. AJ Strauss and AN Cook added 118 runs from 39.6 overs. AN Cook secured 52 runs and AJ Strauss added 123 runs by hitting 15 fours and without driving any sixes. The English wicket keeper MJ Prior also shared his 53 runs to build a stable score in the fist innings. The top-middle order batsmen completely failed of constructed any foundation.

In the second innings, similarity repled again in England tent. Just two batsmen AJ Strauss and PD Collingwood secured centuries and MJ Prior added 33 runs.

I think all the fans who were watching the match live both area sitting on the gallery and with a TV or Online was annoyed much to watch the quick-downfall of the batting side. In the half-day they lost their most valuable 6 wicket just playing 45 overs in the second day. Only the new captain MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh and Sachin Tendulkar scored well. But in the second inning Indian batsmen are showing passions to overcome the faults of the first innings.

Bowling: the bowlers of both teams did really great. I think the fans were enjoying the bowlers’ movements. We can see clearly that the spinners got huge success in that pitch.

So, as a supporter of India, I will hope that India could do well and could take the series lead. But I am confused about the pitch of the fifth day and the batting of the first innings that can not assure me to take the lead. Anyway, the result of the fist test of India and England just times matter.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid El ClĂ¡sico Live score and Preview

Today is 13 December 2008 and a few hours later the large and anticipated football of Europe especially in Spain the battle between the rival Barcelona and Real Madrid. I do not think that the battle will be limited in the Europe only but it will fell a great effect over the world.

Real Madrid's Gonzalo HiguaĂn and Barcelona's Xavi coincided in the presentation of Adidas' new football shoes. Both men shared their views on the upcoming El ClĂ¡sico at Camp Nou. It is clear from their opinion that both teams have some lack and shortage o strength but determine to take the lead every the prestigious title at the end of the league.

There are many changes in the both team but the massive change is visible in Real Madrid camp. The former coach Bernd Schuster’s comment on Camp Nou’s match that is going to kick off on 13 December 2008 have been fired the last weekend and Roma the replaced coach is looking positively about the match. Another change in Real Madrid is Moot Lassana to Replace Mahamadou. I am highlighting about him because Moot Lassana was kept in punishment for the whole seasons.

India vs England 1st Test 2008: India in on pressure in the second day

India and England are at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai. Both the teams are dominating each-other by bat and ball. At he end of the second day India is in pressure of English bowlers. India already has lost its 5 valuable wickets (top five wickets) by scoring 101 runs. Englands new off spin bowler GP Swann sacked 2 wickets.

In spite of England’s middle order’s batmen failure they scored 316 runs after one and half day. The opener batsman AJ Strauss acquired 123 runs and with the half-centuries of other two batsmen (AN Cook and MJ Prior) threw the team in a strong position.

Here is nothing to analyze the India batting side. The top order batsmen have failed totally to protect English bowlers and as result they are paying for their mistake. G Gambhir, V Sehwag and R Dravid has totally destroyed the dream of the match which the bowlers raised by preventing the English men in 316 runs in the second mid day of the first innings.

Now, Indian batsmen should drive the bat carefully at the end of the day even in the morning session, otherwise they will suffer a lot. The two batsmen (Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni) who are batting now are not considered as the test batsmen. The second and the first innings of the 1st test will come to end within a few over bowling. At this moment the score of the day is:

Middlesbrough v Arsenal: who will win? previews and Live

Arsenal is the top 4th position at this moment in the standings list of the Barclays English Premier League. On the other hand Middlesbrough not so strong team and is securing the 12th position. By summarize the standings we can not take any decision that Arsenal will sure to secure the victory in the upcoming match of the Premier League.

Middlesbrough and Arsenal both teams are in serious pressure at this moment. The football analyzers are thinking that if arsenal fails to take the lead in the rest matches then it would be tough for the qualification of next Champions League. Most important thing of arsenal is about their bad performances. In the last match of UEFA Euro champions league this season got defeat by 2-0 against Porto which through them in the second position in the group last match.

Although Middlesbrough is not in good enough position for their players’ injuries but they also will try to take the chance of arsenal’s bad performances. I want to remind the match of the 2007 season. That time Arsenal defeated to Middlesbrough 2-1 on this December. Middlesbrough will be inspired remembering the victory.

The match will be held on Riverside Stadium on 13 December 2008 at 12:45 Local time. Arsenal online TV will telecast the matche live and Satellite TV Sky Sports. I want to add important information that Middlesbrough secured the 4 wins in the last four matches. On the other hand Arsenal secured just 2 wins out of four.

All facts of India vs England 1st test match and Live score 2008

After a few hours India and England will come to the MA Chidamambaram Stadium to play the scheduled first match at 09:30 local time (04:00 GMT) that was totally uncertain after Mumbai terrorist attack. In the morning the stadium will be full with thousand of cricket fans. The terrorist attack was stopped all the follow of the Indian cricket fans. The massive attack has destroyed all flavor of the 6th and 7th ODI even of the test series.

ECB investigation team visited India and met close door meeting in Dubai whenever England cricket team was practiced and was waiting for the positive signal from the ECB committee men. The England cricket team reached at Chepauk, Chennai on Monday just two days ago of the first test on December 8, 2008. Reaching in Chennai the all English cricketers were full of joy and seems that they were waiting for the green signal from the ECB authorities. I think it is a front-to-front protest against terrorism on cricket and proves that no attack will destroy Cricket.

Chennai is going to become many histories with the 1st test match between India vs England. It will be the 50th test of England in the soil of India and England is the first team in the world who are going to build the record first.

There are some records are waiting for some players of India cricket team who are going to touch their pioneers. But before adding this I am congratulating Virender Sehwag promoting 300 runs in his career in an innings against South Africa in 2008 season and if he can hit one six then he will be the equal six hitter to the Indian World Cup winning Capatin Kapil Dev. Indian master bluster batsman Sachin Tendulkar is going to touch two record and could write his name by adding just 6 runs he can reach in 2000 against England and will be the second man who is going aggregate after Sunil Gavaskar. Another record for Sachin Tendulkar is, as a first Indian cricketer he is leading himself in cricket career most time and going to hold the first position by playing 19 years 26 days in the test match history after Lala Amarnath in India Test Cricket History. Rahul Dravid who is considered as a cool man in cricket, is two steps back from the Australian crickets Mark Waugh taking two catches. Most probably, Mark Waugh is the only players who took more catches standing beside wicket keeper.

The squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt), Virender Sehwag (vice-captain), Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Amit Mishra, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, S Badrinath, Munaf Patel, Murali Vijay, Pragyan Ojha.

In the BCCI board meeting, the selection committee had declared a 15 men squad for the two matches test series against England. Although we cannot see any changed name or any new face who are going to debut in test cricket but hard hitter Yuvraj Singh has been selected for the test match. Yuvraj Singh is considered the most positive players for ODI and T20 tournament. Even he played 23 Test matches as securing 1050 runs. His test average is just 32.81 including 3 centuries and 3 half-centuries. The selection committee has selected him the lack of left-handed batsman in the middle order after Sourav Ganguly’s retirement.

England squad

KP Pietersen, TR Ambrose, JM Anderson, IR Bell, SCJ Broad, PD Collingwood, AN Cook, A Flintoff, SJ Harmison, A Khan, MS Panesar, MJ Prior, OA Shah, AJ Strauss, GP Swann

England team will coming to field with the leadership of KP Pietersen. Only Graeme Swann is the new player in the declared England squad. Indian pitch is always spin favor and due to English seamier Stuart Broad’s injury GP Swann has got opportunity in the test match. With the debutante off spinner GP Swann, KP Pietersen is thinking to take change like Australian debutant off spinner who takes 12 wickets in a test match.

NEO Cricket TV will telecast the India vs England test series live on the SKY Sports will telecast live for European fans. Here is some website that always shows the live score. So enjoy the test series.

Champions League and ESPN's Broadcast Rights

The Champion League’s inaugural Twenty20 club-cricket tournament was scheduled from 3 December 2008 but is was postponed for the terrorist attack in Mumbai. It is hoping to make preparations on the earlier next year but I am not sure about it because of ICC’s tight schedule. Although, it a club to club game where the players will take part on behalf of the different club of England, Australia, Pakistan and India but form India IPL T20 team Chennai Super Kings will take part.

Aiming to make popular the club cricket, BCCI scheduled to organize The Champion League’s inaugural Twenty20 club-cricket tournament and ESPN Star Sports secured the telecast right for next 10 years. But Mumbai attack stopped all plans.

Business Standard reported on 7 December 2008 “At least, Rs 280 crore of ad-revenue was expected from the first Champions League tournament for which ESPN Star Sports paid $975 million as the telecast rights fee for the next 10 years. It was expecting to recover more than half of Rs 430 crore (Rs 4,300 crore for 10 years) from the inaugural tournament from advertising revenue, ticket sales, among other options.”

In the inaugural Champion League’s inaugural Twenty20 club-cricket tournament eight teams will take parts and the match will be held in selected three venues. Champions League’s inaugural Twenty20 club-cricket tournament on 12 December 2008

In the previous articles I wrote that the inaugural Champions League’s inaugural Twenty20 club-cricket tournament will be held earlier in the next year 2009. In a meeting on 8 December 2008 BCCI has taken the final decision that it will be held on 12 December 2008 that was designed to inaugurate on 7 December 2008.

Indiantelevison.com reported

Earlier, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had decided to hold a meeting with the board members of Cricket Australia (CA) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) on 7 December for fixing up a possible date for the Champions League Twenty20. The meeting, however, could not be held.

Said Emerging Media CMO Raghu Iyer, "There is a window open in January. After that, it will be difficult to slot the event."

Here is a question to BCCI, how did they schedule at that time? Did they break the Future Tour Programmes rules? Or is it meaning that India will not go to their scheduled tour in Pakistan? In stead of Pakistan tour, BCCI is inaugurating the Champions League’s inaugural Twenty20 club-cricket tournament?

Aamir Asin Ghajini and music reviews

This has been a belief that only Aamir Khan can turn a simple story into an excellent movie. He has also proved this in his illustrious acting career. He presented many super-hit films starring opposite new actresses. India vs England Test 2008-09: a timely decision of ECB and the Test series

After a discussion, ECB showed the green signal to the English cricketers to play the two test matches in India. After Mumbai attack, the seven matches ODI series come to end in five and the test series was completely uncertain. The first test will be held in Chennai and the second ODI was scheduled in Mohali Panjab but it is not sure about the second test venue whenever Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh selected. Now, England team is in Chennai where the first test in that will be held on 11 December 2008 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai.

Cricinfo wrote:

"We took players through security advice and now they are looking forward to getting down and playing cricket now," Sean Morris said. "My role was to make sure they have the accurate information. They asked some great questions and it was great to see the room come together. I spoke to every player over the last few days. They had a lot of questions and needed them all answered."

I think, ECB’s decision is very timely and a positive signal for the cricket fans all over the world because India is the most important location for cricket. Not only for a large number of supportive fans but also the dreamland for cricket business. It would show a big effect in cricket industry if ECB would take a negative decision.

Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard Full of Praise about Manager Rafael Benitez

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard recently praised manager Rafael Benitez, who has been at the helm of Liverpool since 2004. Despite Liverpool won Champions league and FA Cup under Benitez, Liverpool fans are not quite happy with Benitez for not being able to guide Liverpool to win a premier league title, which has become a mass-demand among Liverpool fans. Many fans also criticized Benitez for that. However, captain Gerrard has recently been full of praise about the Spanish coach.

Indicating Benitez’s obsession in football, Steven Gerrard termed Rafael Benitez one of the best coaches currently available. He also hats off to Rafael Benitez for his dedication to the game.

Goal.com reported:

"Rafa is obsessed with football 24 hours a day, seven days a week," he said in the latest edition of the official UEFA Champions League magazine.

"You have to take your hat off to him. He’s one of the best managers there is."

"Rafa is the type that when you finish a game as man of the match having scored three goals, he won’t even mention it," Gerrard said. "Instead, he’ll mention that you never used your left foot at a certain point!

"But Rafa does it right. When I need a pat on the back I get it. I have had lots of ‘well dones’ from him, but when I need a kick up the backside I get it too.

Steven Gerrard was once very frustrated at Liverpool and his relationship with Benitez was reportedly not as strong as it is now. In fact, Gerrard attempted to join Chelsea twice after not being given a perfect role in the field by the coach. However, Gerrard recently said he was selfish at that time and was only thinking about himself. Liverpool has been in excellent form so far this season as they are leading the point table in premier league with 37 points from 16 matches. Now, let us see if Rafael Benitez and Steven Gerrard can win a much-awaited premier league title for Liverpool.

Cristiano Ronaldo Wants to Stay at Manchester United and Win More Trophies

Cristiano Ronaldo has recently received his European Player of the Year award in France. Manchester United manage Sir Alex Ferguson was also present in the award giving ceremony held in Paris, France. Ronaldo received the golden ball from France Football magazine. Manchester United’s Portuguese star thanked his teammates for their help in reaching him up to this level.

After receiving the award, Cristiano Ronaldo expressed that he wanted more success with Manchester United. Having spent five seasons at Manchester United, Ronaldo feels United as his home. The 23-year-old clearly said that he was happy at the club and wanted to stay at Manchester United, bruising aside any more thought of linking him with Real Madrid. The youngster was heavily linked with Spanish champions Real Madrid during last summer and he was reportedly interested to join Real Madrid and the club was also ready for a world-record transfer deal for signing Ronaldo. However, that did not happen in the end.

The Portugal international also said that he was an ambitious man and did not want to stop there. He now wants more success both collectively as well as individually. Ronaldo is happy to have reached at this level, but he thinks, the most important thing is to stay there and keep his development as a player. The player also expressed his wish to win a major title for Portugal national team. Cristiano Ronaldo has become the only fourth player from Manchester United to win the European Footballer of the Year award and the first player in 40 years since George Best won the title in 1968. Earlier, Denis Law and Bobby Charlton also won the award while playing for Manchester United.

Chelsea vs CFR Cluj Preview, Live Score: Champions League 08-09

In a very important Group A match of UEFA Champions League, Chelsea is going to face Romanian champion CFR Cluj at home on 10 December 2008. Chelsea’s qualification into the knockout stage of the tournament and CFR Cluj’s qualification into the round of 32 of UEFA Cup vastly depend on the result of this match. With 8 points from 5 matches, Chelsea currently takes the second place in the point table, 1 point ahead of third placed Bordeaux. So, Chelsea can qualify for the knock out stage in two ways. Either they have to defeat CFR Cluj in their last group stage match or Bordeaux can not defeat group leader AS Roma.

Match: Chelsea vs CFR Cluj; Group A, UEFA Champions League 2008-09

Date: 10 December 2008, Wednesday

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Kick off: 19:45 BST (British Standard Time)

I earlier mentioned that this is a very important match for CFR Cluj too as they are looking to clinch a UEFA Cup place, by securing the third spot in the Group A. However, the task for the Romanian champions would not be so easy because they need to win over Chelsea on the road. Even a win over Chelsea would not ensure CFR Cluj a place in UEFA Cup unless Bordeaux fails to defeat Roma in their last group stage match. However, there is no doubt, CFR Cluj will try their best to secure a place in UEFA Cup. No matter, how hard the task is. In fact, CFR Cluj can put on an inspirational performance against Chelsea as they Romanian club has nothing to lose in the competition.

Coming to Champions League for the time, CFR Cluj created one of the biggest upsets in the history of Champions League when they defeated AS Roma 2-1 on the road in their very first match in the tournament. After that they held Chelsea to a goalless draw at home. Though CFR Cluj could not continue their success over the last three matches, the Romanian club already made their first trip to Champions League a success story. Now, they can feel free to show their best against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. CFR Cluj’s domestic performance so far this season has not been as impressive as it was last season. From 17 matches, CFR Cluj managed 20 points, 6 points behind leader FC Dinamo Bucuresti, and currently secures the fourth place jointly with FC Steaua Bucuresti in Romanian Liga 1. In their recent domestic league match, CFR Cluj defeated Gaz Metan Medias 2-1.

Chelsea can not afford to rely on the Roma vs Bordeaux match in their bid to qualify into the round of 16 in Champions League. So, they will definitely look for a victory over CFR Cluj in front of their home fans. Chelsea’s recent indifference form may not give much confidence to their players, but you can not forget the fact that Chelsea was the runner up in Champions League last season, and they have one of the strong squad in Europe. After three games, Chelsea came back to winning ways on Saturday as they defeated Bolton Wanderers 2-0 on the road, setting up a new record of most consecutive away wins in Premier League. So, you can expect that with this victory, Chelsea has come out of their recent setback, a 2-1 home defeat to Arsenal previous week.

Reports have it in the media that senior Chelsea players are unhappy over manager Luiz Felipe Scolari. However, assistant manager of Chelsea, Ray Wilkins, denied any dressing room dissent at Chelsea. He claims that the players are getting along with the coach very well. Now, Fans are expecting to see Chelsea appearing with their dominating form against CFR Cluj.

Chelsea is undoubtedly favorite against CFR Cluj at home. However, if a confident CFR Cluj can appear with their strong resistance against Chelsea, then this could be a very competitive match. No doubt, fans of both sides are expecting to see an exciting match.

Manchester United Pondering a New Five-Year Contract with Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United might offer Cristiano Ronaldo a new contract by which his current scale of salary, £120,000 a week, might increase up to £150,000 a week. Winner of this year’s European Footballer of the Year, Ronaldo still has three years left in his current contract. However, Manchester United wants to secure his future at the club by increasing his salary. The Portuguese winger was instrumental behind Manchester United’s ‘double’ last season. During Summer transfer window, Ronaldo was on the brink of joining Real Madrid who were overly interested to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, having seen his excellent form of last season. Even, Ronaldo himself was reportedly interested to join Real Madrid who were ready to make a record breaking deal to sing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Recently, Cristiano Ronaldo met manager Sir Alex Ferguson and club chief executive David Gill to discuss about a new five-year contract. If the new contract comes into existence, Ronaldo will be paid £8 million a year by Manchester United.

Telegraph reported:

Ronaldo is currently paid £120,000 a week but should a new deal be struck an extra £30,000 could be added to that, putting him on £8 million a year.

Despite pledging his future to United when Real talks subsided, it seems Ferguson is not happy to take any chances on Ronaldo's current contract which still has three years to run. The Scot is all too aware that Madrid are prepared to spend as much as £50 million on the winger and so ensuring another five years would end all chances of any similar speculation in the near future.

Cristiano Ronaldo started the season with injury and returned to action a bit late. However, the Portuguese star has not yet been as impressive as he was last season. Ronaldo recently said that he was very close to join Arsenal before Manchester United signed him for a £12.24 million transfer deal with Sporting Lisbon. Now, let us see if Manchester United really hands Cristiano Ronaldo a new contract with higher salary.

PSV Eindhoven vs Liverpool Preview, Live Score: Champions League 08-09

PSV Eindhoven vs Liverpool Live Score and Updates

Liverpool takes on PSV Eindhoven in their last Group D match of UEFA Champions League on Tuesday (9 December 2008). With 11 points from 5 games, Liverpool already clinched a place in the round of last 16. However, Liverpool will look for a win against PSV Eindhoven so that they can go into the knock out stage as the group champion in what they might face easier opponent in the first match of the knockout stage. For the Dutch champion PSV Eindhoven, this is a very important match because they can still clinch the third place in the group by which they can qualify for the round of 32 of UEFA Cup. They are currently at the bottom of the table with 3 points from 5 matches. Marseille also has equal 3 points, but they have better goal difference by which they take the third place in the standing. However, even a victory over Liverpool can not ensure PSV Eindhoven a place in the UEFA Cup unless Olympique Marseille can not win against Atletico Madrid in their last group match.

Match: PSV Eindhoven vs Liverpool; Group D, UEFA Champions League 2008-09

Date: 9 December 2008, Tuesday

Venue: Philips Stadion Eindhoven

Kick off: 19:45 BST (British Standard Time)

Liverpool is currently leading the English premier league table with 37 points from 16 outings. Last night (Saturday) Liverpool defeated Blackburn Rovers 3-1 on the road, keeping the 1 point lead at the top of the table. Liverpool has not lost any game in Champions League so far this season and they have equal 11 points of Atletico Madrid who are currently leading the Group D point table with 3 wins and 2 draws.

There is no doubt that PSV Eindhoven’s performance so far this season has not been impressive both at home and in Europe. The Dutch giants lost 4 out of their 5 Champions League matches so far. Even in Dutch league, PSV Eindhoven currently takes the 5th place in the league standing with 25 points from 14 matches, seven points behind leader Alkmaar Zaanstreek (AZ). However, on Saturday, PSV got an inspirational 4-2 victory Groningen. So, they can go into the Liverpool match full of confident.

PSV Eindhoven will have home advantage against Liverpool and will look to avenge their 3-1 defeat away at Liverpool. On the other hand, Liverpool will look to build on their excellent home victory over the Dutch club. Well, Liverpool will definitely miss their Spanish striker Fernando Torres who is now suffering from hamstring injury which, many fear, might rule him out of the rest of the season or at least several weeks. However, club manager Rafael Benitez thinks the player will be back in action within due time.

Sportsnetwork reported:

"Fernando is progressing and improving so hopefully he will be back sooner rather than later," he told the club's official website.

"It's just a question of waiting and not pressuring the player. I was with him today and he was okay. He has a lot of confidence now and when you have confidence, you can be fitter sooner.

Here, one thing is, for sure, that Torres will definitely miss the trip to Netherlands. There is at least another worry for Liverpool and that is the current off form of summer signing Robbie Keane who could not yet find his natural form at the new club. Recently, manager Rafael Benitez dropped him in the substitute’s bench for the Blackburn Rovers match. So, it is not yet confirmed whether Keane will be handed a place in the starting line up against PSV Eindhoven. So, there is no doubt, Captain Steven Gerrard will have some added responsibilities in the absence of Torres and due to the shaky form of Robbie Keane. The good news for the Liverpool fan is that Gerrard has been in an excellent scoring form. Scoring 5 goals in Champions League so far this season, Steven Gerrard jointly shares the top place in the highest scorers’ list along with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

Liverpool seems to be favorite against PSV Eindhoven, taking the reent form of both sides into account. However, the Dutch club will have home advantage and might play inspirational football in front of the home fans against Liverpool in what would take a stern test of the English club. I think, PSV Eindhoven will not leave any stone unturned to qualify for the UEFA Cup. Herein lies the indication of an exciting match.

Can Barcelona Overcome Valencia on 6 December 2008

December is the time of Christmas and you should know that La Liga players get good vacation during Christmas time compared to EPL players. I guess that Valencia players are not thinking about Xmas break at this moment. Instead, they are thinking of the financial crisis that the club is facing at this moment. So, if you feel that the work of Barcelona has been cut out already thanks to the financial problem of their opponent team then I would not argue with you too much. The financial crisis has affected everyone, even the golf industry too.

The advantage that Barcelona is going to have is that it is going to be a home match. Home match is always good for its supporters. They should feel even happier to entertain a financially struggling club. Of course, you should never write Valencia off completely. They have seen impressive success in the last one decade both in Spain and in Europe.

Former Pakistan Cricketer and Selector Shahfqat Rana Talks about Upcoming Pakistan-India Series

Shahfqat Rana, a former Pakistan cricketer and selector, said that India’s scheduled tour of Pakistan in January-February is very important for the future of Asian cricket. Following the Mumbai terror attacks, the future of cricket in Asia has been in an uncertainty. England’s upcoming test series in India is now doubtful. Earlier this year, Australia postponed their tour of Pakistan due to security concern following a series of bomb blasts in Pakistan. Later on, pre-scheduled ICC Champions Trophy, which was due to take place in September in Pakistan, was also postponed by ICC as several cricket playing nations complained about the security condition of the country. So, India’s tour of Pakistan at the beginning of next year is not yet confirmed.

Dailytimes reported:

“But if India refuse to tour Pakistan then this would hurt not only our relations but also cricket, it would mean that we have given in to terrorists,” added Shafqat. He cited example when Pakistan, under Wasim Akram, undertook tour of India in 1999 despite threats from Hindu fundamentalists, playing the first cricket series between the two countries after a decade-long deadlock due to political tension.

He said cricket meant everything in the sub-continent. “It has built bridges, has averted wars on several occasions and has brought people of both countries closer. People love and worship cricket, so it would be a great loss if there is no cricket between the countries.”

Yes, I agree with Shahfqat Rana on this regard. However, I am not yet sure if India would proceed to Pakistan on the tour in which the two neighboring countries would take on each other in a five-match ODI series, three-match test series and an international Twenty20 match. Now, let us see if Indian government allows Indian team to tour Pakistan in January.

Samsung PC Camera CMOS for Real-time HD Video

Recently, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd has launched a PC camera CMOS that will capture high-definition 1.2 Megapixel system-on-chip (SoC) images for notebook and desktop computers. Samsung's new S5K4AW sensor has immediate applications in areas such as business video conferencing, Internet video sharing, direct to web scanning, biometrics and security.

Dr. Yiwan Wong has described to the media that:

"The notebook and desktop PC market requires an image sensor solution specifically optimized for video," said Dr. Yiwan Wong, vice president of marketing for Samsung Electronics' System LSI Division. "For PC users, the main concern of an embedded camera is video, not still image capturing. We're addressing this nuance with our new CMOS image sensor SoC that has been completely designed, and performance optimized, with high-definition and VGA video in mind."

May be it is a revolution for the professional PC imaging market. Just three days age Nikon launched a Nikon D3X 24.5 megapixel dSLR camera that is able to capture best quality images without noises. Another revolution was when Sony launched its Sony Alfa 900 Digital SLR professional DSLR features 24.6 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor camera. Although, I am no comparing those camera with the Samsung CMOS image sensors to include a new high-definition 1/4-inch, 1.2 Megapixel (Mp) system-on-chip (SoC) imager, the S5K4AW. Samsung is focusing on the good quality images with this camera whenever the webcam cannot capture good images. They also claiming that the users will be satisfy with the quality of the camera.
