Australia won the Border-Gavaskar Test series by 2-1. through the draw of the 4th test at Adelaide. In the 4th test, Anil Kumble, the Indian skipper, won the toss and decided to bat first because the pitch of Adelaide was batting helpful. India cashed 526 runs ten wickets in their first innings, where Sachin Tendulkar performed 153 runs. The batting genius Tendulkar reached at his 39 test centuries with this century. Besides, V Sehwag, Harbhajan SinghIn, collected 63 in every one and Indian captain, Anil Kumble collected 87 runs. On the other hand Australia gathered 563 runs for all wickets and they led 37 runs to India. India got down for batting in the last season and till the last season of the final day they collected 269 runs for 7 wickets by 90 pvers. It established to reward artists who have contributed to promote the field of arts and literature.

The French ambassador to India, Jerome Bonnafont, conferred the title on Shah Rukh after the inauguration of the first 'Rendezvous with French Cinema' festival at Andheri, a northwestern suburb of Mumbai.

The film festival organised by the French Embassy along with Unifrance, an organisation that promotes French cinema worldwide, kicked off with the premiere of "Asterix at the Olympic Games".

The 4th ODI between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will take place in Faisalabad at Iqbal Stadium on 30 January 2008.

Pakistan won the 3rd ODI by 37 runs defeating Zimbabwe in the Mobilink Cup at Multan cricket ground on 27 January, led the five matches series 3-0. Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss has appealed to Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan to stop smoking in movies as millions of youngsters emulate them and imbibe the bad habit.

"I have already made appeals to Shah Rukh Khan," Ramadoss said in Karan Thapar's Devil's Advocate programme being aired on CNN-IBN Sunday.

"But I would be happy to do it again and say, 'Please don't smoke in your movies, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan'. I would like to make an appeal to Mr. Shah Rukh Khan and Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and all the other personalities.

"Fourteen-year-olds are taking to tobacco. India should be very, very concerned about the alarming rise of incidence of tobacco (use) amongst young people," the minister emphasised.

Criticising movies with smoking scenes, the minister said: "The movies are most responsible (for encouraging smoking). When I said movies should not have smoking scenes, we have statistics which show that 52 percent of children have their first puff of a cigarette because of movie celebrities."

When asked about Shah Rukh smoking during a recent cricket match, Ramadoss said the actor should not have done it.

"Absolutely not. What was the necessity? See these are celebrities and millions of youngsters look up to these celebrities...I again say to celebrities, in whichever field they are, whether it's movies or sports, not to do these things in public."

Responding to a question if Shah Rukh and Amitabh could stop smoking like Tamil superstar Rajnikant, the minister said: "Easily, they could do it. Without a doubt."

Adam Gilchrist side goodbye to Test Cricket

Adam Gilchrist, Australian wicket-keeper batsman, who has announced his departure from Test & ODI cricket. He declared it after taking the world record of dismissal after finishing a glorious cricket carrier. And he will depart after ending the fourth test match against India on Monday and his last ODI match will finish by the end of Commonwealth Bank (CB) Series that will finish in March.

During many years, Gilchrist has been trued in different country for the benefit of country and for himself and has been suffered various distressed with his wife and three children. However, Gilchrist’s departure announcement news has bought grief for his team-met and fans. This became as a surprise to them

Gilchrist said on last Friday, “I'll let people know when I'm going to retire. It may tomorrow or in 12 months. Now I’m going to keep focusing on giving the things I’ve got to this them.” Also he told his team-mates in an emotional moment that he was leaving them. Gilchrist said, “I’ve come to this decision after thinking much with my family and my most important persons. My family and I are fortunate because this cricket and my country have given many things to me.”

Gilchrist was born in New South Wales in Australia, made his test debut replacing Lan Healy in Brisbane, played 96 Tests matches till now and has bagged 414 dismissals, which is one more than South Africa’s Mark Boucher. Finally it is Aishwarya Rai Bacchan! The glamorous actress is to star opposite Tamil film icon Rajnikant in sci-fi film 'Robot' though there is no official confirmation from either the producer or director.

Aishwarya told the media that she would be pairing with Rajnikant in the movie being directed by Shankar. This will be her second project with Shankar after 'Jeans', which released in 1998. She had starred opposite Prashant in 'Jeans'.

Two weeks ago, Shankar had signed up superstar Rajnikant for the lead role in 'Robot'. Since then, the media has speculated on Aishwarya or Deepika Padukone for the lead opposite Rajni.

According to the film industry sources, Shankar was in Mumbai with the script and the former Miss World responded positively after 'having gone through the script thoroughly'.

Even for Shankar's 'Sivaji: The Boss', rumour mills had predicted Aishwarya as the female lead opposite Rajnikant, but low-profile Shriya Sharan was roped in at the end.

One of Rajnikant's daughters is also named Aishwarya.

After the success of 'Sivaji: The Boss', Shankar announced that he will repeat the 57-year-old actor in 'Robot' - a Rs.1 billion film, which the industry predicts will be a greater success.

Both Rajni and Shankar are reportedly keen on 'Robot' becoming an international success.

Pakistan team management has added Sohail Kahn and Khalid Latif in Pakistan squad for third ODI at Multan against Zimbabwe on January 27.

Year 2007 was very profitable for Bollywood. 253 films came to on screen, among them 28 become successful and other went flop. Tri-Nation Commonwealth Bank Series 2008 Schedule

Review of Jodhaa Akbar: will release on 15 February 2008

JODHAA AKBAR, a true love story which was placed between a great Mughal emperor and a Rajput princess. The film has acted by beauty queen Aishwarya Rai and Hrithic Roshan. We all know about Aishwarya’s beauty but we don’t know a secret good quality of her. And that is Aishwarya can sing as well. The news was hidden at first but exposed by AR Rahman. Just music composer AR Rahman discovered this excellence within Aishwarya gave away the sweet secret of Aishwarya at the music launch of JODHAA AKBAR.

AR Rahaman says, “There is an interesting story behind the song called Mana Mohana (song devoted to Lord Krishna) in the film, which is sung by singer Bela Shende. Initially Gowariker wanted Aishwarya to dub for the song, as he believed that she could sing the tune splendidly. However our dates never worked out. When Ash was ready I was busy recording something else and vice versa. The co-ordination didn’t happen. So Bela went ahead and sang this wonderful song.”

He added more, “Also I have sung one song myself, which is called Khwaja Mere Khwaja, a prayer which is regularly sung at Ajmer Sharif durgah. I had composed the song for myself much before Jodhaa Akbar was conceived! I just happened to make Gowariker hear the song. He loved it and said he wanted the song in the film.”

You would not see Amitabh Bachchan in the movie but he gave her voice in all set of the film, the same task he did for Gowariker Oscar-nominated Lagaan.

Amitabh Bachchan says about the movie JODHAA AKBAR, “Ashu included me in the cast and crew of Jodhaa in his speech. This is a little unfair for others as I am just giving a voiceover to the film. My association with Ashu goes back to Lagaan where I did the same. Lagaan did very well and I am sure Jodhaa Akbar will also repeat its success. My work in Jodhaa hasn’t started as yet.”

Aishwarya Rai fails to take the opportunity to sing in 'Jodhaa Akbar'

The director of Jodhaa Akber, Ashutosh Gowarikar wanted that stunning Aishwarya Rai to sing a song in her own voice in Jodhaa-Akbar.

It was supposed that Aishwarya would sing the in track Mann Mohanna. Composer AR Rahman confirmed saying, “Ashutosh strongly felt that Aishwarya could record the song in her own voice, as a bonus for her fans."

It is a matter of sorrow for Aishwarya’s fan because Aishwarya was very busy when the song was recorded. At last the song has been recorded by Bela Shende.

The story of the movie is historical in the sixteenth century and in this movie the romance begins with a marriage alliance between two cultures and religions.

Aishwarya acted as Jodhaa Bai and Hrithik Roshan in the lead character of Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar in the movie. The movie ‘jodhaa Akbar’ is scheduled to release on 15 February 2008. It is expecting that the epic romance movie will be super hit.

Prominent director Ashutosh Gowariker has made the historical movie Jodhaa-Akbar where he has formed two historical character one Jodhaa and another Akbar. Here, he has fascinated the relation between Jodhaa and Akbar after marriage.

Gowariker said, “I feel if today we make a story about the past, it must be correlated to the present. And 'Jodhaa-Akbar' is as relevant to the present as arranged marriages. Jodha and Akbar shared a perfect arranged marriage. I was fascinated by how their relationship must have grown after marriage.”

The two most craze of Bollywood Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan acted in the lead character of the movie is set to hit on15 February. The movie is dubbing in Telugu and Tamil language.

About Jodhaa-Akbar, Gowariker said, “Jodhaa-Akbar is to me a historical. Anything after 1857 is a period film for me. Anything before that is a historical. Jodhaa-Akbar is certainly not a costume drama. It isn't set in a never-never land. I'd call Mughal-e-Azam a historical though its focus was different from mine. I've taken extreme care to make sure viewers believe in the relationship.”

About the religious difference between Jodha and Akbar, he said, “it’s important but not stressed in my film. Let's not forget, Akbar's marriage to Jodhabai was no common occurrence. It had a nationwide reverberation 450 years ago when society was far more conservative. How did their marriage affect those times? That's a question relevant even today. But I'm not jingoistic in my treatment.”

Gowariker has said about the pair of Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan- That won't be a problem. The audience will come in and forget everything about Hrithik and Aishwarya. Hrithik-Aishwarya's pairing is incredible. They're extremely charismatic and good-looking. They were a huge success in the contemporary Dhoom 2. That can only help my film, not harm it.

What audiences will see in my film are Jodha and Akbar. At least that's what I've tried to ensure through their looks, body language and behavior. I wanted to make my historical as believable as I'd like to see it being.

Hrithik Roshan injured during the shooting

Bollywood great hero Hrithik Roshan injured during the shooting. Recently he came back from Singapore after taking treatment of his knee. He has cured from his knee injury now, says he want to away from stunts for some days due to his knee fitness.

Hrithik says, “I need to be very careful for a while. No serious stunts and action scenes for a while. My body has served its warning rather effectively. I had no choice but to obey the warning signals. It would be some time before I get back into full-on action scenes.”

Hrithik’s birthday was in Last week and was turned now in 34. About birth day, Hritick says, I don’t think it is a special day. But it never turns out that way.”

“I wouldn't know. But, yes, the quantity of love that I receive on this day is overwhelming,” said Hrithik shamefully.

Hrithik has a son its name Hrenaan, is very cute, and is proud to give him all. He says, “The last year I've really had no time for the family. The injury has given me a chance to be at home and spend time with my wife and son."

About the birthday of this year Hrithik says, “It was one of the most well-organized music functions of my career. After that it was friend Ambika Hinduja's engagement party. So we went for that. Then we were home for the rest of the evening."

Sonam-Hrithik will be pair for Rakesh Roshan’s next movie?

Rakesh Roshan is thinking to cast Sonam Kapoor in his next film and Sonam Kapoor will be paired with Hrithik Roshan in that movie. Rakesh Roshan went to Sonam’s home to talk with her father, bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor that he is going to cast Sonam Kapoor for his next movie alongside Hrithik Roshan, which is untitled till now.

Although Rakesh Roshan directed the super-hit bollywood film Krrish. But, instead of him, Rakeysh Mehra has taken initiative to direct the film Krrish-2.

An insider said, “Anil was thrilled that Rakesh was keen to cast Sonam in a film under the Filmkraft banner. He immediately agreed that Sonam be paired opposite Hrithik in Rakesh's next film.”

When contacted, Rakesh didn't confirm or deny the news. He said, “I am still working on the script.”

Rakesh Roshan observed ‘Saawariya’, the debuted film of Sonam Kapoor and impressed her performance. He found some rare qualities on her and thought to select her for his next movie where Hrithik Roshan will be the co-actor. However, there was a rumor that Sonam would pair with Hrithik in film under Eros International and Carving Dreams Motion Pictures. Australia and Indian Squad for 3rd Test in Perth

The 3^rd test between Australia v India is going to start after some moment in Perth of Australia after much uncertainty. There was an uncertainty about the issue of Harbhajan Singh Harthat that the series will be organized more or not. Anil Kapoor has declined the offer to act with his daughter

Although Sonam Kapoor did not get more popularity with her debuted film "Saawariya" but some superstar has assumed that she has a quality to do something unique anytime. Star’s Father Anil Kapoor did not break down for her daughter’s failure.

Recently, Sonam Kapoor has been selected for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's much talked-about 'Dilli 6'. Superstar Anlik Kapoor was also offered for a role, but he declined the offer for his daughter Sonam Kapoor.

DNA Reported:

"It's true Rakeysh Mehra offered me a role in 'Dilli 6', but I declined it," Anil said.

"Who wouldn't want to work with Rakeysh after 'Rang De Basanti'? Sonam is lucky to be working with him in her second film after (working with) Sanjay Leela Bhansali."

For now, Anil has decided to stay away from offers to share screen space with his daughter. "In fact, there have been 8-10 offers, but nothing that would tempt me into sharing space with her right away. Unless something really exceptional comes up, I wouldn't like to work with my daughter at the moment. In fact, she is opposed to it much more than I am. She feels even more strongly about it. So I'd rather wait."

I think Anil Kapoor did a good thing right now and his is well appreciated.

Audio has been launched and the Film Jodhaa Akbar will postponed on 15 February

Awaited film, Jodhaa Akbar is going to release on February 15. The film was to release within last couple of months but some internal complication it could not be release. Now, the director Ashutosh Gowariker has confirmed that the Historical/Biographical film Jodhaa Akbar will released soon and the date has been fixed on 15 February.

While Hrithik is incapacitated because of a knee injury, Gowarikar is down with a back problem. “I've had a back problem due to which I've been completely bed-ridden and completely inactive for the last few days,” the distressed director said.

“According to the doctors, I think I'll need a week more. So I'm doing all my post-production from my bed set up in my office. And yes, we’ve postponed ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ by two weeks. Instead of January 25, it'll come on February 15,” he added.

The film has been produced under UTV Motion Pictures. The music of this film has directed by the famous music director AR Rahman. The music has launched on 9 January. During the music launch cremoney the leading actor of the film Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai, director Ashutosh Gowariker, music director AR Rahman and among the celebrities producer Ronnie Screwvala, Amitabh Bachchan, Javed Akhtar, Sonu Sood, Sonu Nigam, Madhushree, Jaaved Ali, Shatrughan Sinha, Akbar Khan, Sanjay Khan, Ila Arun, Zayed Khan were present.

Shane Bond has made an agreement with ICL

According to the senior officials of ICL, New Zealand pacer Shane Bond has signed up in a contact papers for three years. Ashish Kaul, the executive vice-president of the Essel Group, the company behind the ICL, confirmed the rumours that the league had secured New Zealand's strike bowler. "Shane Bond has signed up," Kaul told Reuters. "It's a three-year contract that he has with the Indian Cricket League."

Shane Bond makes his deal with ICL for US$800,000 for a season who was kept out from the ongoing series between Bangladesh-New Zealand for his abdominal injury. Although, NZC requested Bond to join IPL, which is backed by BCCI. Unfortunately the offer is lower that ICL, is US$250,000 per season.

All the countries warn their crickets not to join IPL that is non-officially-sanctioned. After joint of Shane Bond NZC again warn seriously that if any of the cricketers sing up with ICL, they will be ban from all kinds of international match both home and abroad.

The deal would likely mean the end of Bond's Test and ODI career, as NZC has already told its selectors to consider other players ahead of any who join the ICL. NZC has also made an agreement with the other Test nations that any players who take part in the non-officially-sanctioned ICL should not be selected for international duties.

It is an interesting matter that BCCI has declared that ICL is totally opposite of international cricket. My question is here that if it is against them so why they are going to introduce same formatted cricket match?

Incident of Sidney Test and what will be the Perth (3rd) Test!

During the 2^nd Test, the unexpected incident with Harbhajan Singh-Symonds and the wrong decision of the two umpires makes doubt in Perth Test(3rd). BCCI commanded to Indian Team not to shift Perth.

Australia has achieved 16 continuous test matches wining record by wining the 2^nd test against India at Sydney cricket ground on Wednesday. And this match even this test series will be memorable for umpire Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson’s wrong decision towards India. After the playing of 4^th day, it was being considered that the 2^nd test Between India vs Australia is going to draw definitely. But, at last, it was seen that Australia won by 122 runs. Becoming such as, the main reason possibly the wrong decision of the umpires. In this series, especially in the 2^nd test, the umpires took at least 10 wrong decisions, those all was gone against India remaining one.

The same incident happened in the fist test. In the 2^nd test, Indian first innings, when India came back in their as usual batting style then Australia fell in thought. That innings Sachin Tendulkar did unbeaten 154 runs and VVS Laxman took 123 runs even 9^th batsman spinner Harbhajan Singh took 67 runs, which was intolerable for Aussies specially, for Andrew Symonds. The out of Rahul Drabid and Sourav Ganguly were obviously wrong. In Australian first innings, when Andrew Symonds was on 48, then he was stamping by Dhoni. The umpire Steve Bucknor declared him not out. In that match, there has been taken a protest against Harbhajan Singh for saying ‘monkey’ to Andrew Symonds. However, Harbhajan has refused this objection. And the umpires also didn’t hear this word. After all, after finishing the 2^nd test, the match referee ‘Mike Proctor’ suspended Harbhajan Singh for 3 test matches under ICC three-level regulation. Indian cricket board ‘BCCI’ has applied against Harbhajan’s suspension near ICC. Along with, BCCI has ordered to Indian team to stay at Sydney and the board has taken the decision to reject Australia tour until next hearing. The hearing will be in this current week about the affair of Harbhajan Singh. At present, Indian cricket team has postponed their tour.

On the other hand Indian skipper Anil Kumble has taken opposite complain against Brad Hug to revile him. And BCCI has informed it to ICC. BCCI has also appealed near ICC not to umpiring with Bucknor and Mark Benson in next test match. But ICC has appointed again Steve Bucknor. They have said that any country couldn’t decision about umpire that who will maintain match.

The Indian cricket fans have staged protest and burned Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson’s picture and effigy. So, Indian tour has become under trained.

Australia’s Sidney Test Victory and Others Story

Australia has made their 16^th continuous test match winning record at Sydney cricket ground. In the 2^nd test they won by 122 runs. So, Australia is leading the series by 2-0 of 4 tests matches. In the 2^nd test, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first and scored total 465 runs losing all wickets (Symond 162*, Hogg 79, Lee 59, Ponting 55). Losing 6 wickets at 132 runs, they had to face in a bad condition. Australia reached a good position by flying on Andrew Symonds’s confirm batting. Andrew Symonds has selected man of the match. Everything was good- excellent batting and bowling of both the team, but this will be memorable for wrong umpiring. In the first innings India’s achievement was 532, Sachain Tendulkar scored unbeaten 154 runs, VVS Laxman 109, Sourav Ganguly 67 and Rahul Dravid 53 which were mentionable. However, India leaded 69 runs to Australia. It seemed that, India might show a better thing this test match, but at last they failed to do so.

Australia declared at 401runs by 7wickets after batting the second innings. In this innings, it came 2 centuries, one for Mike Hussey 145 and other Mathew Hayden 123. To chase this run, India lost their all wickets for 210 runs. Just 7 balls were left to draw the match, but India could not reach.

In the first innings at first day, Indian bawlers created pressure upon Australian batsmen taking 6 wickets at a poor run. Yet, confirm batting of Symonds, Australia reached at 465. In Indian bowling side, captain Anil Kumble took 4wickets each in both the innings.

At first she was came at the sight of famous actress Juhi Chawla and it was Juhi Chawla who recommended Hansika’s name to the director of her first movie ‘Yahoo’. The movie was not released till now. Juhi Chawla recommended Hansika’s name to her director when Hansika was working with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the Hyundai Sahtro TV commercial. At first in 2003, Hansika started her movie acting by the film ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ with Hruthik Roshan and Preity Zinta. The movie was super hit that time. Vidya Balan and her forthcoming film Halla Bol

The name Vidya Balan is a popular name in Bollywood now. She introduced with Bollywood in June 10, 2005, with the film ‘Parineeta’, which was directed by Pradeep Sarkar. In 2007, she acted a few movies and got huge box-office hit.

In the second week of 2008, Vidya Balan acted film Halla Bol will be released, which is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Rajkumar Santoshi is one of the success directors in Bollywood film industry. He has a fame of best selection according to the character. Vidya Balan has acted as Ajay Devgan’s wife Sneha. Actually, she is a helpful, friendly has a great intimate each other and has a very good understanding each other.

Vidya Balan thinks that glamorous is not always fact in the movie, best thing is selection character and preformed perfectly and that is why, she agreed to work with Santoshi Rajkumar film Halla Bol as an example she told that Lajja is one of her favorite film.

Is an interview she expressed her feelings in the same way. I am giving some example of them;

Q.: Please tell us about your look in the film?

A.: In the film I am actually from a small town and I get married to a superstar. The director of the film, Raj ji, thought of two different looks for me. One was the look of a woman from a small town and the other one is the look of the wife of superstar. But with the progression of shooting, he threw away the idea about the second look.

That happened only when he realized the fact that when a character is going through so many problems, she cannot think of outfits.

Q.: Usually Ajay Devgan is accepted with his serious look. What do you think?

A.: That’s true but he plays few great comic characters too. And that’s very natural and goes with the character of the actual Ajay Devgan we see on the sets. Working with him was a great experience.

Q.: Has he played any prank during the shooting of this movie?

A.: I would like to mention one incident. Once he made me look like a real big fool. One scene was okayed in the first take but Ajay Devgan and Raj ji made me do it several times. They kept on inspiring me to give the take again and again and I went on following their instructions.

But when I saw that they are just laughing at me I realized that there must be something terribly wrong. And I found that they were just playing a prank on me.

Q.: How was the experience of working with Rajkumar Santoshi?

A.: That was a nice experience. He used to explain every minute thing before the shooting and at the same time he used to inspire all the crew members and actors. I enjoy talking to him as he is very intelligent. Whether it’s History, religion or current affairs he has knowledge of every field.

Q.: Is there any message in the film?

A.: Actually the film shows that there are problems in everybody’s life and there are some people who try to solve them and some who just evade them. In this film all the characters are conscious about the odds and they all come together to face that. It teaches us the positive sides of unity.

Vidya Balan has been selected in this role in the replacement of Priyanka Chopra. Now, it is time to see that what she done in that film and will he get more popularity? The film will suppose to be release on 11 December 2008. She told that she got help in every pets form Ajay Devgan and the director Santoshi during shooting.
