Saif Ali Khan gives in to nicotine craving
After staying off the cigarettes for a long time, Saif Ali Khan is lighting up again.
There was a time when Saif was a regular smoker. But then, he had a minor heart stroke last year and was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. Doctors had strictly warned him to quit smoking after his recovery.
Saif heeded the doctors’ advice for a long time. But the craving for cigarettes has finally got the better of Khan, for he has resumed smoking again.
Last week, Saif was spotted smoking at a party after Filmfare Awards. In fact, girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was upset over her beau taking to the cancer stick again.
Saif has also admitted to a tabloid that he has begun smoking again.
However, Saif added that he is not a regular smoker and lights up only occasionally. And these occasions come after Saif has had a couple of drinks at parties, which, Saif says, is very rare.
Some of the other actors who have struggled with smoking are Aamir Khan , Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgan .
Aamir resumed smoking before the release of Taare Zameen Par but made a New Year resolution to quit smoking from January 1. However, Aamir failed to keep his resolution and managed to quit cigarettes only weeks later.
Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, has stirred controversies by lighting up at public places. He has also justified smoking in films as “creative liberty” for the artists.
