The Celebration of 75 years of Indian Test cricket Without Kapil Dev

India is going to celebrate the 75 years of Indian Test cricket in Kochi on October 2. In the Celebration all former captain will be invited in the ceremony. Awards have been given to some of the outstanding performers of the year the last few years. But I am disappointed to see that here is no word about Kapil Dev who was the captain of India team at the time of World Cup Championship at 1983.

And some of the captains who shaped and steered Indian cricket will be honoured at the function at the Le Meridian hotel here on Tuesday night, a few hours after the India-Australia one-dayer at the Nehru Stadium. Among the current cricketers, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag will also be feted at the ceremony. This year, the outstanding performance award will be presented to Dhoni’s team.

The Castrol awards have been given to some of the outstanding performers of the year the last few years but this time, the main theme will be the celebration of 75 years of Indian Test cricket.

Kapil Dev was the captain from 1982-83. Kapil was kept hold of as India's captain for the 1987 Cricket World Cup. I am not sure why we can not see his name on the lists.

India vs Australia 2nd ODI: India Bowling vs S Sreesanth

In the 2nd ODI between India and Australia, S Sreesanth is going to become the key blower of Indian team day by day. I think Australian batsmen will not take him easily and will think hardly twice during the second ODI about S Sreesanth. In the first match S Sreesanth took early and important three wickets of Australia that was a very good turning point for Indian team although the iron man Michael Clarke was unbeaten long time. As a result the Australia reached a long score of 307 runs.

In the fourth over of India and the second over of himself, S Sreesanth felt the BJ Hodge in lbw trap. The result came, Australia 18 by two wickets. In his 6^th over S Sreesanth packed the danger man ML Hayden by bowled out only 34 runs when the team’s runs were 83. In his next over his stopped A Symonds by Lbw. So before 90 Australia had to loose 4 wickets, in here the strong contributor was S Sreesanth’s blowing.

During the twenty20 world cup S Sreesanth was disappointed all the cricket fans especially in the fist match along with Pakistan. In the last over he did not give any opportunity to reach the target of 141 runs. The result came drawn. Although he was in pressure but he bowled very simply.

I thing if he get proper coaching then he could be a very good contributors in Indian bowling section also he would able to a strong role in the ongoing series against Australia.

The second ODI will take place on 2 October 2007. The first match has stopped due to heavy rain. I think Australian batting impressed the entire cricket fans especially the batting of Michael Clarke Although Australian faced a heavy batting downfall in the first time by but Michael Clarke helped team to overcome the bad situation and blow up the team as a score of 307.

After Sreesanth had left the innings rocking, it was Clarke and Haddin that rebuilt it, patiently at first and then with considerable flair and aggression. New Zealand is bringing some serious changes in the team, aim to the upcoming tour in South Africa. The stadium is located in Bangalore, Karnataka. The Stadium is known as Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) stadium. The Stadium was renamed according to M. Chinnaswamy, who was concerned in cricket management in Karnataka for four decades and was at the controls of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 1977-1980.

Rahul Dravid: Rahul Dravid is known as a The Wall in cricket world. He was born at January 11, 1973 at Indore in Madhya Pradesh. He played 112 test matches and 9492 runs and 327 ODI and 10534 runs. Pakistan wants to apply T20 experience on home series by using this theory, Pakistan is going to play a test and odi series along with South Africa. The Hindu reported that Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik said on Wednesday that his young team can transform its Twenty20 form into success in the forthcoming Test series against South Africa.

The first venue of Sir Lanka vs England ODI Series has selected Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. The Stadium is situated in the North Central Province, nearby Dambulla. The capacity of this stadium is 30000, and the inaugural one-day international (ODI) match was played between Sri Lanka and England in March 2000. Dambulla an agricultural trading town also famous for its ancient UNESCO protected Buddhist Cave Temples which date back to 85 B.C.

The ground is big ground and an exclusive cricket facility with the capacity 55,000. The ground is established at 2004 a cricket ground in Uppal an eastern suburb of Hyderabad. It is also known as Visaka International Cricket Stadium Ground. The first ODI held between India and South Africa at November 16, 2005.

From 2004 till now, only one ODI match played. The match was between South Africa and India. It will be the second ODI match of the ground history. In the first match South Africa won by 5 wickets against India. In that match India scored 249 runs by 9 wickets and running behind this runs South Africa reached to this target mainlining 7 balls and by 5 wickets.

In spite of being lose the team, Yuvraj Singh became player of the match; his achievement was 103runs form 192. In this match India faced seriously batting downfall and lost early 3 wickets when it was five over. During the 12 overs India lost their top valuable 5 wickets. Team India meanwhile will get a separate skipper for Tests.Though reports suggest that Tendulakar will lead in the longer version, the decision is still kept in abeyance.

Dhoni, who is 26 years old and hails from Jharkhand, will lead only 3 ODIs against Australia to begin with. A decision to whether his term as skipper will be extended will be taken only after the Australia series. Yuvraj Singh will be the Vice-Captain of the team. India is to take on Pakistan after meeting the Oz challenge.

The announcement came at CCI meet in Mumbai. The five selectors, with former captain Dilip Vengsarkar at the helm, took the decision among others.
