Bangladesh Handicraft is earning foreign exchange

The word handicrafts and bangalee tradition both have inextricably relation. Bangladesh is a land of monsoon climate and six seasons. During the rainy season, it’s become too much rainfall and people can not go out and the women of Bangladesh use these time for their creative work. Most of the time, the women use to do this works as a hobby and keep it as an attraction. Some time the hang it on the wall of their house and sometime they use it some in especial ceremony like weeding ceremony. In their work, they display the natural scenery of Bangladesh, the boat that drove with sail, birds and creepers and herbs etc.

For modernization, these traditional works are going to destroy. But some organizations are trying to preserve this work. The organization named ‘Social Development Project’ is among them which is working on the northern district Bogra.

Whatmore will be the next Coach of the Pakistan?

Dev Whatmore, who is the former coach of Bangladesh, is going to interview in Pakistan Cricket Board. The date is fixed at Wednesday, June 21.

www.cricketworldcuplatest.com reported:

However, for some strange and unknown reasons the Indian authorities seemed to snub Whatmore, who after the India-Bangladesh series was tipped to be the favourite to succeed Greg Chappell at the helm and his appointment was said to be a mere formality.

In the meanwhile, the PCB is tight-lipped over the coach issue and hasn’t committed on the two interviews preceding Whatmore’s.

Some days ago PCB official told to the media that they are not thinking about hire coach now.

YouTube in 10 Domains for 9 Countries And..

We all are fans of YouTube. Who does not enjoy YouTube? Not me. One problem with YouTube is that until now it had only one domain (http://www.youtube.com/) and it heavily featured videos related to the US. So, users like me from other parts of the world could not enjoy YouTube so much. So, to get more users and give the users local touch, YouTube has launched its services in 9 more domains.

Google’s official blog has written about it:

The YouTube community began life speaking English, but thanks to the uniquely expressive medium of video, today there is a global village of content makers and viewers. With a noteworthy number of YouTube visitors now coming from outside the U.S., it's high time we go multilingual.

Today at a Google press event in Paris, Chad Hurley and Steve Chen are announcing the launch of nine new domains in Brazil, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Ireland, and the UK.

It is good news for the users in these 9 countries. They will have more localized contents in YouTube. For the people in the rest of the world, YouTube.com is yet the best place for the time being.

Moushumi vs Meghla Aakash

In the film Meghla Aakash', Moushumi acted as a simple village girl. Her name was Meghla in the Film. Moushumi was the theme actress in this film.

The director of this film is Nargis Akhter, who works at FemCom, a NGO, has directed the film, which centralizes on the topic of AIDS/HIV and directs various preventive measures on HIV infection in the common society.

In this film Moushumi showed a very good performance. It seemed to me that she was real and perfect in that role.

Moushumi, herself also told to the media that she tried to do best act in that film. She also told that among her 100 over cinema it was her best preferable character.

Habibul Bashar wants to turn back in Sri Lanka tour

The next target is to show a good performance in the next matches in Sri Lanka. Habibul Bashar is thinking about his career because last matches with India, he did not show his as usual performances.

Cricketworldcuplatest reported:

"I am not concerned about my career and right at the moment my main objective is to score runs as much as I can. The one-day series is not in my mind because I am only focusing on the Test series. I know how difficult the condition is but I am very confident," he added.

Meanwhile, when Bangladesh toured Sri Lanka last in 2005 they were wiped out in both the Test and the ODI series, but Bashar reckons things could go a bit differently this time around: "I must say that the boys are now more confident.”

Basher is not only thinking about his career but also thinking about all.

Bangladesh Tour of Sri Lanka 2007: Bangladesh Wants to Impress

Bangladesh cricket team is now in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh has never won a test or ODI in Sri Lanka. So, the first thing that Ashraful and his team mates have in mind is to win at least one match in the tour. Sri Lanka is the former World Champion and they are in good form now.

The Hindu wrote:

The Bangladesh team visits Sri Lanka after a heavy defeat of an innings and 239 runs in its second home Test match and a 0-1 series loss to India.

But the team’s stand-in Australian coach, Shaun Williams, said it hopes to put on a good performance in Sri Lanka. “We will be tough and we will be competitive,” he told reporters in Colombo on Monday.

Mohammad Ashraful, who has taken over the captaincy, said the team’s main focus would be to improve.

Are you a fan of Bangladesh cricket team? Then, you should read Bangladesh Cricket blog about the latest updates on Bangladesh cricket team.

Over heat wave affected the children mostly in Bangladesh

The little children are suffering from fever and diarrhea. For over heat wave, the children of northern area of Bangladesh are affected mostly.

Reuters reported:

Most patients went home fully cured within two or three days, hospital officials said. No one had yet died from diarrhoea in the current outbreak.

Doctors said patients were treated with oral dehydration saline and medicines that, if applied quickly, prevented possible death.

The disease, caused by people eating rotten food and drinking polluted water, escalates during summer when drinking water is in short supply, forcing people to use contaminated sources.

From the report of weather office, we can know that the condition will change in the middle of June. The monsoon air can not pass over Bangladesh that's why the weather is too much unbearable for us, especially for the children.

Life of a Day Labour of Bangladesh

To live in the world is hard for the poor people. They are living hand to mouth. They are giving their energy to build up the civilization. All day long they are working and working sweating head to foot. Abbus Uddin Bapari is like one of them. He is a day labourer. He earns his livelihood giving severe physical labour. He is an uneducated person. He said that he had no chance to be educated. His home district is Barisal. Leaving his family over there, he has been to Dhaka for searching work. Now he earns Tk 250 per day. On the street, he hammers with all his strength to break the hard peach.

What a laborious task! The poor labours of our country eat hand to mouth. They can eat properly. How they will do thi kind of hard work. Yet he is working for his family. Like him, the day labours of our country are giving their strenuous labour for the society, for state and for modern people. But what we see these people are neglected in the society. Abbus has two sons. He wants to educate his sons so that they may not be come to this type of task. He faces a problem when he does not have any work. He is not sure about his future. What will be in the next day, he doesn’t know. Notwithstanding his strenuous labour, he always keeps a smiling face. Really it is interesting.

A handicraft maker of Bangladesh

To support one’s livelihood, one should take a way to earn money. Different people take different ways. He is Mr.Hasan. He is a handicraft maker. About 35 years, he was involved in this profession. These handicrafts are so colourful and excellent. Selling his things, he earns Tk 3000 per month. Their workshop is at Ginzira. He is carrying on his family with this small income. That helps him to earn some money and maintaining his family when people buy his hand made things for their children.

He says when a child buys his colourful handicraft, he sees a heartening smile in that child’s face. That actually gives him boundless pleasure and lessens of his all day long tiredness for an instant.
