India wants Serious Changes before Pakistan’s Tour

India wants Serious Changes before Pakistan’s Tour. India is playing seven matches ODI series along with Australia. In November, India will play another series along with Pakistan. But the performances are not well at all. The high officials are thinking about some changes on the team. They are thinking seriously about some old players and their performances such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly. Why are they thinking it? Why do they keen to some change? Last month India became Twenty20 champion without some key players who are well ranked in ICC ranking. The young team beat the 50-50 champion Australia in the semifinal round. But they did not do well with the experienced players in the ongoing ODI series. As a result the guest has taken a 2-0 lead in the seven-match series after game one was abandoned due to rain.

The reverses have put senior batsmen Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Saurav Ganguly under pressure after a young side achieved the Twenty20 success in their absence.

Chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar said patience might run out on the senior players after Tendulkar made 0, 16 and 43, Dravid 31 and 0 and Ganguly missed out due to injury.

"Definitely, the threshold has reduced. No question about it," he was quoted as saying in the Mid-Day tabloid, when asked whether selectors would be patient with the senior players.

This decision is inconsistency with time. Because it is the proper time to give opportunity for the youngest players.
